Elaine- The supports I wear are called Power Step.

http://www.powersteps.com/_patients/patients.asp?page=1

I stretched on my own. I stretched my calves up to 10 times per day by hanging one foot the the off a stair for 30 seconds. Any calf stretches will help just hold them at least 20 seconds and repeat 10 times per day. It also helps to loosen up your hamstrings and back since they are all in related alignment.

DH and I massage each other's feet at that helps too.

Great job on getting it all done Wendy!

Hello ladies,
I am back for a moment and then I am off to lunch.

I did not do all of BM2 because my hamstring started hurting, so I listened to my body and jumped on the elliptical for a half hour and ended up with a great workout. I did 30 minutes of step and then 30 minutes on the ellipitcal and burned 569 calories, which will make a small dent in my Indian food feast}(

I still have no time for personals, but will defintley be back later for personals.

Susan

I'm back...I estimate having about 5 minutes to get personals in before DS starts complaining!:+ I'll do my best! If I don't get to everyone I am not being snotty :p , it's just that "duty" called my name so I'll come back later and finish up! ;)

Gayle: Thanks for posting the info for the pics. I'll have to take a peek when I'm done w/personals!:) Oh what fun tantrums are! I am sure you are glad to be past that stage!!! DS had a bit of one this morning. I think it's going to be a daily event now. I'd better get used to it, ey? ACK! LOL

Christine: I hope lunch with Susan is fun and have a great time tonight as well. Why is DH going to Australia-work related?

Judy: I enjoy the live class. It's done with the instructor facing you like you would do a Cathe video. The choreo in this particular class is very different from Cathe's style. I am glad though. It keeps it fresh. I like the live class atmosphere for the energy it produces. I don't like it cause you can't rewind the instructor when she does a move you don't get! :p It can also be confusing if you are not in the front of the class and have someone in front of you who messes up...I will very easily mess up if I see someone else do something wrong. LOL It's fun though! Overall I like Cathe's style more but I'm sure that's no surprise! LOL

Carole: You are right. The halfs will always be there. I am going to keep up my running and see what happens. I DO enjoy it. It's an excellent form of cardio and gives me such a feeling of accomplishment!:)

Barb: Your kaluha story is pretty funny. I think your DH deserves a whack with the rubber mallet for that one! LOL Joey is feeling better physically but his attitude is going down the toilet! LOL I don't know if you read my posts to others but he is apparently delving into the wonderful world of the terrible 2's. Temper tantrum central! UGH! lol Thanks for the kind words regarding the X and running. It can be so hard to choose and focus on one thing! I have been so focused on running since I started doing it about 10 months ago that I now need to place my main focus else where for a while so I don't burn out. I won't give it up though!:)

Jess: (((HUGS))) Get well soon! Being sick like that stinks, especially when you have little ones to care for so you can't just lay on the couch and be miserable in peace! :(

Linda: Did you just purchase Barry's bootcamp? How do you like it so far?

Shelly: I like Long and Lean. You should ask Susan and Christine though if you want a better idea of what it's like. I'm just beginning to get into the yoga thing so all I can say is that I like the more athletic approach and this dvd fits the bill. It's faster paced then YogaX but has alot of the same moves in it. It's also shorter which ofcourse is the BIGGEST plus! LOL :p

Elaine: Oh the beloved B&G Leg Blast Premix! It's such a beautiful thing, isn't it!? }( Yes, I still have my Mr. YP dvd. I almost put it up on ebay and then decided to hang on to it. I will give him another try soon I think. I ordered my PT study materials on line directly from the organization's website: www.afpa.com . The cost was $335.00. There are many many orgs that certify though so you don't have to go with that particular one if you are considering doing this.

Laura: Loved your post about weighing 118 pounds in the open discussion forum! LOL

Hey...I think I managed to get everyone in and I was even interrupted by a phone call! WHOA! How impressive! LOL Okay, I'm outta here for now but maybe I can pop back in later!:)

Wendy - I just ordered Barry's BC this Monday. I received it yesterday. I was really pleased with how fast they came!! I have only done the TM cardio on Legs and BT, but I previewed a couple of them and I really think I will love them! I am excited about them! The treadmill cardios are tough!

Linda

*Sasheys into board with smile on her face* I had such a WONDERFUL time with Susan! She's as pretty, intelligent and warm as her posts and we just had a blast chatting. Yet another fabulous Cheetah!! We figure we'll do it again sometime. She has photos and will post them. I'm just popping in quickly before I get back to work - I was SLAMMED this afternoon! Enjoy all!!

While I don't think the pictures of Christine are *horrible* I do have to say that they really do not do her justice. She is truly more lovely than she appears here. As for Susan, well, one of these days all of the CA Cheetahs will have to meet up and then I will let you know how I think her photos stack up to the real her!:)

You're too sweet Elaine. It's funny. I was telling Susan that I have yet to meet a Cheetah (or a Catheite for that matter) with whom I have not immediately felt at ease. We sooo must plan a get together soon! We'd have a blast! Susan is gorgeous, by the way - both inside and out.

H’lo, cheetahs! :)

I have bagged my plans for heading out tonight in favor of staying in the warm & cozy house…In fact, I am just so darn fried, I may not even do MM after all. The jury is still out on that one. But while I’m deciding, I had to pop back in for a cheetah fix.

Sunny :: hope you enjoyed KPC! It’s great to hear how your client base continues to grow.

Marcia :: that’s funny…I have managed to NEVER see an infomercial for P90…I never even heard about it until the Cathe forums…which probably proves I am living in a bubble…I agree—venting is healthy, so feel free anytime! Fingers crossed the job situation improves. I can certainly understand not wanting to give up your benefits as a public employee!…Have fun with tonight’s karaoke contest & may the tips come pourin’ in (get it—pourin in—-ha! Bad pun!)

Wendy :: ooh! I’m pumped now!! Hmm, I wonder if I should live on the edge & start a new rotation midmonth…*lol*…I guess I will have to do the band option…that’s something I better look into. Any suggestions?…Yikes on the temper tantrums—hope that’s a phase that passes quickly. Wait, so there’s not much room for running w/ X?

Laura :: don’t get too down on yourself about a few extra lbs…To me, it didn’t sound like you have very much to lose…you *can* do it…keep the faith!!…I really believe that with your plan to change things up, you are going to be pleasantly surprised. I am definitely seeing changes in my legs in the past month, and my mileage is at an all-time low. PS…I am taking the shirts to the PO *first* thing in the AM…should get there by Wednesday!!…I am in Jersey, just outside of Philly.

Gayle :: great pics! You look strong in every one. I give all of you a TON of credit for racing in such bitterly cold weather. Hope DS is doing better.

Karen :: feel better soon!!

Christine :: hope you enjoyed the early V-Day dinner with DH. I think you hit the nail on the head…I have become less anxious about bagging a workout now & then because I am generally very consistent. I figure if I’ve managed five workouts in a busy week, I can’t beat myself up--that’s pretty darn good…Smooth move this morning (sorry, another lousy pun—I couldn’t resist.) :)

Judy :: I do look forward to weekend workouts as I don’t have to rush! I attend classes through the Univ. of Scranton online. Thanks for the tip on SS/PP. I have that one but think I’ve only done it once – can’t remember it too well, honestly. Yippee on the new Polar! Thanks for the group hug! :)

Carole :: yeah, I couldn’t allow myself to be the only cheetah in the dark about the X! :) Guess what? My purple and silver bands arrived today, and I think I screwed up – they are way short!! Maybe only 4 ft. in length?? WTH...DOH!!!!

Barb :: sending you lots of warm & fuzzy cheetah vibes to make you feel better!! If that doesn’t work, have a nice big shot of…something other than Kahlua!! ;) I don’t blame you for wanting to tear off DH’s face…a “working” ski trip?? No fair!! Thanks for the info on P90…I’m glad I ordered it!…Thanks for the support! :) I had to warn the kids not to expect a quick turnover with the essays this time. I am going to spread it out over the next couple of weeks. Even the anal-est of nerds were fine with it. I really am lucky to have a group of sweetheart kids.

Shelly :: YAY on breaking in the new ETX!!…But poor Birdy—-hope she’ll be OK. That’s funny—I’m in AWE of you—-and of all the cheetahs, actually. All of you juggle so much, and yet you ladies all find time for absolutely KILLER workouts! It’s definitely inspiring!

Jess :: feel better!! I did not get a chance to view your pics…did they disappear?

Elaine :: I know *allllll* about those Kettle Chips…Carole got me hooked on those, too! Luckily, most of the enabling done here is for healthy things!…But on a serious note, I said ut-oh when I read about eating the whole bag of chips…because it sounded all-too-familiar to me…After my uncle’s accident, I went into a seize-the-day mode, too, and that is not always a positive…In my case, it led to some seriously reckless spending. I can truly understand where you are coming from with that.

Susan :: glad the elliptical gave you a good work w/out aggravating the hammy! Love the pics!! You both look great!

Linda :: looking forward to hearing what you think of Barry’s w/outs once you try them. I know Sunny’s a big fan. I have a feeling he will be the next guru to take my money. :)

OK, I believe someone suggested we post pics in our cheetah shirts...I must preface this by saying I'm not really crazy about this pic - bad hair day again, pimple the size of Mt. Vesuvius, yada ya -- but here goes anyway...

Have a great night, ladies!
Cathy :)

Cathy,

Thank you for posting a pic of you. You are gorgous and what a beautiful smile you have. I cannot wait to show off my shirt to everyone. Thanks again for going to all that effort.

Susan

christine- you sure you havent been to fremont before? I could swear I have seen you before?

cathy- thanks for the support. I cant wait to get my shirt,by the way, you are very pretty!

I've been to Fremont many times, but not for about 20 years. I used to room at BGSU with a girl named Lisa Meyers who was from Fremont.

Cathy - DD14 said the same as Laura - I was showing her all of the photos and she said that you are very pretty. Love your smile!

Susan - DD14 says you are very pretty too. She's the one who said that you look like you belong on Broadway.

Love the pictures ladies!:)

Susan and Christine: Glad you gals had a nice time. Would love to join you next time! Where shall we meet?...KANSAS!? LOL It's such a shame that so many of the Cheetahs are on the west coast. :-(

Cathy: Great pic! I haven't even tried my shirt on yet! *gasp* I must do that...maybe tonight. If you can't use the pull up bar then use a band just make sure it's heavy enough tension. I bought a medium tension band (when I thought my pull up bar wasn't going to work) and it was too light for me. You'd probably want a heavy weight one. It will need the over the door attachment as well. There is room for running while doing the X. It really depends on the rotation you choose. If you want to keep several days of cardio in your rotation then you should probably do the doubles rotation. That gives you 5 days of cardio. I am doing the classic which gives you 2 days but I added 1 day in phase 1. For phase 2 I am doing only 2. You may want to consider pulling back the reigns on the cardio and seeing what happens. I was afraid to do it but have been getting great results from it! :)

Gosh, it's only 9:30 and I feel like I could go to sleep for the night already! LOL I'm gettin' old. I need to spend the weekend with Cathy. She still has the energy to have a good time. She'll keep me up and partyin'! }(

Alright...I'm going to try on the Cheetah shirt now...it's about time, right!? :p

Okay, the shirt fits. I could have gone with the smaller size but I didn't want it to be too small so I went the safe route. :) As for a pic of me in it? Not happening...not tonight anyway!:p

Have a great night folks and see ya in the morning!:)
