Good morning, cheetahs!
Carole :: it is interesting that there are some universal experiences in the grieving process. I agree that it does come in waves…you don’t know what will trigger it, either. I was a Daddy's girl growing up, too.
Laurie :: what an excellent way to describe that – we’re zebras when the rest of the world is horses. Wow. That is *precisely* the feeling. I talk about this a lot w/ a friend of mine who lost her mother very suddenly in April 05…I think she’s still very much a zebra...I worry about her. How was your ankle yesterday?
Wendy :: OK, that is one I don’t have. I groaned when I read about your x-mas eve tradition…it sounds like what my extended family used to do. About five years ago, I convinced them to go to a Pollyanna, and then two years ago, we switched to a “Yankee” swap, similar to what Christine did last week or so. It’s fun, and nobody’s trotting home dollar-store knickknacks and trying to figure out what the hell to do with them. I wouldn’t mind us donating money to a charity instead of gifts, but I don’t think we’ll get that far with this group…lol.
Shelly :: I didn’t even preview DrillMax yet. It is the one cover where Cathe looks mean, so I’ve been afraid to take off the plastic…lol. Good workout yesterday!
Katrina :: yes, sometimes there are distractions…waiting for lights is one…and lately, the honkers and screamers have been out in full force. I am usually more focused on watching traffic – people around here drive like nuts…they do not seem to want to slow down and acknowledge that the WHITE PAINTED CRISS-CROSS LINES GIVE *me* THE RIGHT OF WAY – helloooo!! Great job on the 8 miles.
Linda :: glad you’re enjoying running in the cooler weather. Great run! Hope today isn’t too chaotic. I worked like a beast yesterday, as you know, so I could veg today. I LOVE that feeling. I used to dread Sundays when I left everything on my "to-do list" til then.
Susan :: LIC + DrillMax! WOW! I previewed LIC yesterday, and although it probably looks simple to all of you, I think I’m going to have to take the “Around the World for Dummies” class. :: LOL :: I find it so hard to learn those step moves when I face her/the TV. I really need to be *behind* somebody to pick up the moves more easily. So, what do you think makes DM better than BC?
Yesterday I logged in 6 miles and followed with the GS BSB Timesaver premix. Today I'm tempted to run again, but I think I'll try B&G. I managed to get all of my schoolwork done...I just have to write one one-page paper for one of my grad classes, so I really have the whole day to myself and no specific agenda. It's a beautiful thing!
Have a great Sunday, everyone!
