WAY TO GO SHELLY!!!!

the superman/banana for those who dont know is where you lie on your stomach in superman postion then roll over onto your back without using your arms . arms and legs off the floor. they continually keep rolling from one to the other, its hard. Its in the core synergistics workout I think. I did ab ripper x. I had to take rest breaks, more for my legs rather that my stomach on some of those moves.

talk with ya later!

laurie, shelly and susan, thanks for the nice comments regarding my class and me teaching. I really hope they all like the class. I made sure I went down and talked to the newer people last monday. they all said they liked it, that they just like to whine sometimes. I really do want everyone to like the class and I enjoy teaching it much more than I thought I would. again thanks!!

Shelly...I have taken food over for T-Giving before. I guess to be honest I am tired of a particular comment from my sister. She will say "Mike (DH) would eat turkey if Carole wasn't here" This happens at about every family food get together. I suppose she thinks its funny but I have not seen the humor so instead of making a big deal, I would rather eat here...:)..PS...DH eats whatever he wants and it does not bother me in the least! I am so glad you were not sore after the 11 mile race yesterday!! Tough workout today!! Have fun. 3rd???....WAY TO GO!!!!!

Jess...thanks for your support!! I see I should have T-Giving with all the cheetahs!!!

Christine...sounds like the Vegan chili was a good thing! Thanks for your thoughts for John...I am having Tofurkey for T-Giving which has stuffing inside it...tasty stuff...:)..I did the same with CF yesterday!

Susan...you can rant all you want. I get the workout remarks too...:)...I guess they really don't know how much it hurts. Thanks for your thoughts on John too.

Linda...awful about the dog poop!!! Thank you also for your thoughts on John.

Cathy...rest today is good for you...you did have a tough week! I feel the exact same way about people and eating as you do....WTH and who cares!!!

Elaine....yes it does stink about my family and T-Giving. Read my irritating comment I receive in my post to Shelly. Right now John is just doing upper body work until after the surgery. Then he will be able to start rehab full force. His thinking is that he will eventually walk. He has some feeling in his left leg and slight motor movement. After his surgery he might join up with a wheelchair basketball team he has watched and met up with. Sounds like your SIL is doing good under the circumstances. She has your love and support which is so important now.

Well my 13 miles turned into 14.2 miles!! It felt great, but I am tired now...:)...so, off to watch more football...

way to go carole!!! dont you just love those days where you feel like you could just go on running and running!!!! I do!!!!

Shelly! Way to go! 3rd place and a medal?! I'm very impressed! WAY TO GO!!!!

Carole - great job on the 14.2 mile run! Families are funny, aren't they? You'd think we'd be supportive of one another, but we aren't in a lot of ways. Fortunately, it seems everyone has rallied around John, though. I'm making my first recipe out of Vegan Planet today - Tuscon Style Pasta with Chickpeas, Zucchini and Rosemary. It sounds devine, and DH wants something more mild after the Chili last night.

Back from shopping and am in between chores. It's SOOO nice to feel almost normal (still a bit stuffy, but not too bad).

Good Evening Cheetah Gals!

Oy, I haven't been around since this morning! Sure do have a lot to catch up on! ;) :+

Laura: It's so nice to see you so excited about teaching. That's so great! How did it go today?

Laurie: You are my hero...able to resist buying new running shoes until AFTER Christmas shopping is done! You have more restraint than me girlfriend!:7 Friday night was fun but I ate waaay too much. I was very uncomfortable for about two hours after dinner. I didn't have a stomach ache or anything...just literally felt stuffed!

SunnyD: You are taking on the malls on a weekend around the holidays!? You are braver than I am! LOL How was the BBC f/b work out you did today?

Carole: Good job on your run today! My friend and I had kinda planned for 4 miles and ended up doing 5! It must be something in the air!;) I am going to have pics taken on NY's eve for sure of me and DH but I may also take a pic of just the dress and the shoes prior so y'all can see it.

Jess: So what work out did you do today? How's DD feeling tonight?

Shelly: WTG! Great job on the race girl! WOO HOO! :+ Thanks for the explanation of the banana...you have my curiousity peeked now! When I get P90X I'll be putting Ab Ripper in first just to see (and try) this thing! LOL

Christine: Glad you were able to work out today. Hope you are feeling even better tonight!

Susan: So what did you eat for lunch? }( :9 Thanks for the kind words, BTW. That was very sweet of you. I look forward to hearing from you on here every day as well. :)

LD: LOL about the dog poop! I'd have given DH a good whack for laughing though and then made him clean the poop off!:p

Cathy: My run this morning was cold at first but fun. We took a totally different route than we normally do. We did 5 miles. We are ready for Friday! LOL

Elaine: If I work out hard on the days I eat crappy it makes me feel less guilty about the food. When I don't work out AND eat badly then I just feel awful. :-( I'll be posting a pic of the dress and shoes soon. Good job on the 12 miles!

Ok, I think that covers everyone who posted today!:)

I met my friend at the park at 9 am and we ran 5 miles. It was cold but I warmed up fast. We had fun. Ran a totally different route from what we usually do. I only have one more run planned before my race. It was going to be tomorrow but I changed it to Tues or Wed. I think it's a wiser choice. It will be a short run as well...probably 3 miles.

Okay, I have some things to do now....Maybe I'll peek in later to see if anyone's come by!

Toodles! :D

G'evening Wendy!! Sounds like a fun run! So your next race is coming up, fun fun! I can't wait to get healed so I can get back to racing!!! I miss it! Although there isn't a race in my Mom's town so at least I don't feel bad about missing one!

Can't wait to see a pic of the dress & shoes- you'll look great! I don't own any *going out* dresses, we never get to go out!!

Have a great night!

Well, today was MUCH better than y'day!! Pretty relaxing actually!! Kiersten is about back to her normal self by tonight! I think she'll be ok to go to school tomorrow, she's been on her meds for over 24 hrs & fever free. She's making some Thanksgiving crafts now.

I ended up doing C & W this morning, that workout just makes me sweat!! By the time we got to the pushups, I was just dripping! It's fun though & goes by quickly!! I also did CM #2 (stability ball), I hadn't done it yet. Feel those obliques!!

Hannah & I made 2 pumpkin pies this afternoon, I always make one for us & one for Greg to take to work. My extended family is BIG on homemade pies, no store bought ones for the crew or they'd riot!! :p We grew up spoiled by my Grandma's pies, I guess! ;-)

Have a great night!

Wow, I've missed a lot here today! I couldn't get on the computer as the Girls have been doing projects and presentations on it all day. I get on, they kick me off, I won't complain though, they just brought home some very impressive report cards:) I ended up rebounding for about 40 minutes then did the step combos only premix from IMAX3 then it was the u/b work from Slim & Lean. I must say I am pleasantly surprised by this workout! I tidied and cooked today and had a huge pile of paper for 12 y.o. Faith to shred, she LOVES shredding:)

Sunny, thanks but I didn't do B&G and LowMax on the same day that would be CRAZY....hmmmmm....maybe I'll try it next Sunday}(

Carole, sometimes sisters really SUCK getting their little digs is. My sister and I rarely see each other and even then the tension is palpable. I love her dearly but don't particularly like her very much. Oooh that sounded mean but it's true. Big day for football in Canada with the Grey Cup Championship game being played. That's it for the season here.

Jess, sounds like a good day. I'll bake just about anything I'm asked but I never mastered pastry, for some reason I always got too emotionally involved with it:+ CW (any circuit w/o for that matter) is always a sweatfest for me too.

Shelly, DOUBLE WOO-HOO!!!! That's fantastic that you got a medal AND are feeling so good after your great performance yesterday. You must be so happy! I think my coffee guy is promising too but keep telling myself to just keep focussed on the here and now, nothing more. You KNOW I'll keep you gals informed!!!:)

Christine, that must have been some good spicey chilli!!!:) So glad you're feeling better. The Aloo Gobi was a big hit at dinner thanks! My love affair with Indian food started when we lived in a very multi cultural suburb of Toronto, we were at a small church then and would have the most wonderful pot luck dinners with samosas next to scotch eggs, it was like a pot luck dinner at the United Nations. So much food, so little time:+

Susan, nice workout Girl!!! I hope your brunch was as lovely as it sounds. I use Bio Freeze in clinic but have to make sure to wash my hands right away or the rest of the massage feels very weird to me. You are very sweet to say that he's lucky to have my company, I really like the fact that conversation flows very easy when I'm talking with him:)

Linda, what a nasty way to finish a run, blecchhh x( The snow melted pretty quickly here but I put my big a$$ snow boots out by the back door and pulled the shovel out from behind the rakes and hoes so I'm ready when it comes:)

Cathy, that's awesome that you are staying on top of your paper writing, I am the queen of procrastination. My house was never so clean as when I had papers due, me and my avoidance behaviours have a loooong history! I hope you enjoyed your 'rest' day, cleanmax can be quite a workout in itself!

Elaine, yeah I do!!!:D You're so funny, I blush very easily and did so when I read your post:) It's lovely that you and DH are helping your SIL, I'm sure she's overwhelmed with everything right now. I remember how much my burden was eased when people were kind enough to help me out in those first months, especially with things that I wasn't used to doing myself.

Wendy, trust me, I'm nobody's hero and my restraint is only because those darned Girls of mine and Christmas have picked the money tree clean off! :+ Glad you had some fun on Friday, I know that overstuffed feeling though, it can put a damper on a good time! I'm loving Slim & Lean Wendy and will definitely be picking your brain about other Jari workout if I see them around.

Well the Girls are toddling off to bed so I'm going to say my goodnights to you and them:)

Take Care
Laurie
