Good morning ladies!

Personal-slackin' Cheetah here to start us off this morning. I know I promised to be back last night but I ended up laying down for a *nap* at 3:00 and didn't wake up until midnight. Got up, had a bite to eat, and promptly went back to bed . Feel a little better this morning...at least well enough to, hopefully, get through the workday today lol! I promise I *AM* good for em tonight, though.

In the meantime I just want to send {{{{{HUGS}}}}}, {{{{VIBES}}}} and {{{{CONGRATS}}}}} to all those who need 'em! I'm sorry to be so general but I do want you ladies to know that I've been thinking of ya!

Gotta skeedaddle and get to work. Ooooh, hearing some rumbles of thunder. You can bet I've got my fingers crossed that it's gonna rain and shorten my day a bit...hey, one can *hope*, LOL! Have a great day ladies!

Good morning, Wendi, & all cheetahs!

Christine :: wonderful news about Kimo! So glad to hear it...Wow, B's and C's in potassium--impressive! Never tried wheat germ. Have to look into that. Can't blame you for wanting to take advantage of the gorgeous weather and ride. Hope it's equally as nice for today's run.

Carole :: good tip about the shoes. I'd wondered if maybe I ought to have gone up 1/2 size, but I actually did go back to Fleet Feet and get refitted since it's been so long...The Fleet Feet guy suggested I make an appt. with an orthopedist re: the heel cup the chiro gave me. Since it isn't a custom orthotic, he thought it might potentially do more harm than good. I'm inclined to agree with his point, so while I'm there, I might as well mention the toe pain/numbness...Hey, by the way, who won that last game of Scrabulous? That was so close at the end. It disappeared and I never saw the final score.

Judy :: Oh, I was off on the book title: it's Nickel and Dimed. It was a NY Times bestseller in which the author went "undercover" for a year to experience how low-wage workers make ends meet. She held various jobs (e.g. waitress, maid, nursing home aide) in various places (Florida, Maine, Minnesota) and attempted to live off her earnings for a month each time before moving on. Ehrenreich is witty and entertaining while at the same time presenting a pretty sobering look at what life is like for the many Americans who are struggling at the poverty level...Bet you slept well after 18 holes. Caddying your own clubs must burn a TON of extra calories.

I am functioning on minimal zzz's, so I see a nap happening at some point today. Kettlebells and yoga, too.

Have a wonderful Sunday!

PS...Gloria :: The school supply sales are really kickin' in now around here...gonna have to do some bargain-huntin' this morning! :)

Cheetah morning. Today is rest day for me. I need to get some things done around here before we leave for the beach.

Cathy- we had storms last night and a tree fell in the yard and is hanging on by a thread to another tree. If it falls it will knock out all the power lines. I mean it is hanging on so slightly over all the wires to the house. Called the electric company and they said they will get there WHENEVER< So I'm thinking lets wait until we knock out the entire thing before we come over.

Good morning cheetahs

Wendi..that is one heck of a nap! Hope you get your rain.

Cathy...So the toes that get numb are the ones from the foot using the heel cup? That could have something to do with it. It is good to get these things figured out now way before the marathon! That last game of Scrabulous was weird. I believe you were 9 points ahead (I had 330 and you had 339), and I used my last letter to make an 8 point word, but then it said I won and showed the scores as you 336 and me 338?...Go figure, I think you can see the totals somewhere to each game...Enjoy KB's and Yoga.

Karen...scary about that tree! I hope the Electric Co gets out there soon. Enjoy your day at the beach.

Judy...thanks, I do hope my lungs will be fine if this smoke ever goes away! Good job golfing 18 yesterday. So was it coffee or a nap?

Christine...the smoke was better yesterday. Thursday & Friday night were awful, it brought the Air Quality to 265 for us! 301 is hazardous! It had been under 100 for some time. I hope today it is better. Glad to hear Kimo is better...:)...Good job with the 24 flat miles. Is DH's DS moving far away? My DH normally catches a lot of Salmon, but not this year so we have resorted to buying it. Hope you guys had a nice dinner.

I am planning on 10 miles with my friend, but we will see how the smoke is.

Have a great day...:)

Cathy...re Scrabulous, you can click on the "quick links" and then settings, then the game number and it shows the game and totals.

slow moving morning for me

Karen :: Yikes! You'd think they would consider that high-priority. Happy running around getting ready for vacation.

Carole :: I finally figured out how to see results of past games on Scrabulous. You earned your points for your word, plus a bonus of three points for the tiles I had remaining in my tray. Darn it! I thought I was going to finally have a win over the reigning Scrabulous champ!! No such luck.
sigh.gif
:)...No, the toe numbing/pain is happening in the left foot, and the heel cup is in my right shoe. Hope you have a great smoke-free 10 miler!

ETA: Carole, missed your post above, but thank you!

Good Morning All!

Wendi – Glad to hear you’re feeling better this morning! Hope the rain stays and gives you a nice, very short day.

Cathy – What you don’t realize is how hard I had to struggle to get B’s and C’s in potassium! I sat down Friday and Saturday mornings and planned out my entire week. Which I’ve already messed up. When I’m at work, I can manage to eat what I plan. On the weekends, I cannot always do it. Enjoy NapMax! And your kettlebells, too!

Karen – enjoy your rest day! Don’t you simply love the electric company? I hope the tree stays hanging by the threads.

Carole – hope the skies are clear for you today! It’s the 240s for the last two days? Ick. We had gorgeous skies yesterday and it’s supposed to be cooler today. The race is between Santa Cruz and Capitola so the skies should be clear. DS is moving down the street. With the housing crisis, the number of people renting has skyrocketed and apartments are at a premium, his old place raised the rent and he refused to pay that much a month, so he moved to a cheaper place. Dinner was very nice, thank you.

Well, up and at ‘em for today’s 10k. We’re running the Wharf to Wharf. It’s a run between the Santa Cruz Wharf and the Capitola Wharf – a lot of it is along the beach. Nice little 6 miler – it is 6 miles exactly. There’s a huge party afterwards in Capitola. I don’t know how long we’ll stay. So, I must get going and get ready. Have a great day all!

Cathy...I think I never quite understand the bonus point thing in Scrabulous!! Glad you got the totals, I do think a lot of that game is the letters you get. So, maybe a half size larger in your running shoe might be a good option??

Christine...Enjoy Wharf to Wharf!! I will have to do that one one day! I was just teasing about DS moving "far" away...:D...I do understand about the housing crisis. My Mom has had her house on the market for about 2 years.

Christine :: hope you and DD15 have a blast running the Wharf to Wharf together! Looking forward to your race report. Glad I'm not the only one struggling with potassium. I have been planning a day or two in advance. Went off the straight n' narrow for the BBQ yesterday, but otherwise, it is going well.

Carole :: Fleet Feet is pretty good about making adjustments if the shoe isn't quite right. It's been about 3 weeks, so I suppose the window to make a change is still there.

Good Morning to all the Beautiful Cheetahs! It's a beautiful Sunday morning and I got in a good 7 mile run. Yesterday BIL and SIL ended up coming over too so it was quite a crowd in this little house! Fortunately they all left before supper so at least DH and I had the evening to ourselves. I was able to get in Ab hits also. It's been a while since I gave the old core a good long workout.

Wendi- With those mega long show days of yours it's no wonder you crashed yesterday. Your body definitely needed it and I hope it gave you the recharge you needed. There is alot of rain in the forecast for the East coast so I'm crossing my fingers it will work out for you and give you a short work day.

Cathy- IA totally with Carole (always do when it comes to running!) that it's a good thing in a way you are having foot pain issues early on so you can figure out the problem before it get's out of hand and too late in your training. I know orthotics are wildly popular but sometimes I wonder... they seem to have the potential to cause as much if not more harm then good. How is your foot doing today anyway and how is the back? BTW, I would love to come to Jersey and do a long run with you..... I don't care what speed or how many walking breaks!!:D

Karen- I hope you have a fabulous time at the beach. You mentioned coming to the Jersey shore next week? Where are you going--- Cape May, Atlantic city?

Carole- OMG- that smoke isn't giving you a break is it? I sure hope the air quality doesn't ruin your long run for you!! Hope you check back in today and let us know how it went.

Judy- Thanks for the support about my in-laws yesterday. Actually, if this were our home I'm quite sure they would never come over unannounced but since this is their place they feel they have the right and I can hardly complain about it! It is why we are so anxious to move into a place of our own!
They are actually very nice, both of them.... they can just get to be a tad annoying at times but DH has to endure the brunt of it;) Hey, have you ever worn a pedometer on your walking 18 round golf days. I'm curious how many miles you log.

Christine- Enjoying your weekend with DD I'm sure~ How was dinner out last nite? Going for a run today? Glad to hear Kimo is better. She sounds like my Birdy (14 yrs old) Has had bad arthritic hips all her life and survived major knee surgery last year and is still going strong. I call her my tough old bird! I didn't know PA was your home state! I do recall you saying your sister lived there. Can't wait til you come back for a visit.... would love to meet up with you!

Jackie- Hope you are enjoying your weekend with DBF!

I think I'm about caught up. I may go for another shorter pm run tonight.... I'll see how I feel.

hellooooo...

hi everyone! what a busy weekend so far! i had to endure an 0830-1530 staff development meeting on friday. ugh. it was SO boring! then, i had a bbq that night for a friend's birthday. yesterday, i was at the sanctuary all day (it was AWESOME!). so, i finally have some time this morning before i am off and running errands.

i will try to catch up with personals from friday...

wendy-i am glad you are not really backing out of the rt. i am intimidated as well, but with all the wonderful people, i don't think it will be intimidating. i am gonig to the friday morning step class and flying in thursday evening (at 7). we can meet before. as far as taking step classes, i don't do that much step and i know i am going to make a fool out of myself, but i don't really think ANYONE will be watching me. all eyes on cathe, ya know?

wt-now i remember you talking about the conference in aruba. i would TOTALLY go if you went. i bet i could get "duty days" for it! of course, the surgery is your first priority. keep us posted...

carole-i am so sorry the smoke is back. here's our girl for you...
15_5_20.gif

christine-yeah, we go back super early here which is really stupid because it is so hot. yeah, make the more southeren states go back earlier in the summer so we can use the maximum amount of electricity trying to keep the place cool...

gloria-warm colors on the bulletin board sounds like a good idea. i really don't do decorations or actual stuff on the corkboard since it's not a classroom. mostly just stuff that pertains to the pet club, psychology, and, of course, linus.

shelly-YESSSSS!!! i will be at the friday step class. how totally exciting that you will be there! can't wait to meet you!!!

judy-i definitely want to start nrolw again but since i didn't get to do it in aruba, i am thinking i will wait until after the rt to pick it up again. i am stillin stage one with my two big breaks i took.

karen-yes, being with the animals is like a spiritual experience for me. they are so pure of heart. there is a wonderful indian legend i love that says: "when a human dies, there is a bridge they must cross to enter into heaven. At the head of this bridge awaits every animal the human encountered during their lifetime. The animals, based upon what they know of this person, decide which humans may cross the bridge...and which are turned away"-Unknown. also, don't ever feel like you are a "burden" here. i have certainly had my share of trying times and these amazing women have been instrumental in getting me through it.

jackie-wow, curacao! i have heard it is beautiful there. we will definitely have to keep an aruba cheetah retreat in the back of our minds...

wendi-here are some photos of "my" horse. his name is Half Moon and he was soooo sweet!

well, i am off to start my day. lots of errands and catching up to do. i'm not too hopeful about getting a workout in but i hit it pretty hard this week.

oh, i am also going to try out the nutrition software and see if i can get my eating in check (i.e. no junk!).

cathy-i might need your technology help with that. i can't even see the place where we sign up! DOH!

Got the luggage out and beach blanket washed. Dh and I are tackeling the wagon, stroller, and other stuff and washing off the sand toys before we put sand in them agian. Oxymoron ( I know)

Wendi- I hope you get that workout in tonight. Enjoy the day.

Cathy- My girls and I went the other day and got all out school stuff. I'm a homeschool mom and have tons of stuff. We got so much at the dollar store for our house calander and bulletin board at home. I love to shop school stuff. My girls even got a double binder this year at Wal-mart. I never saw it before. You have a notebook on one side and then you flip it around and over and you have a whole other binder. Neat!!!

Carole- Enjoy the 10 miles. I hope the smoke doesn't interfere with your good time

Christine- How was the 10k today? It sounds lovely to run a warf and then have bbq. Does your dd run too. My 11 yo is starting to get intrested. I hope she will love it like I do. Her legs are so long. My other dd is 9 and her legs are very athletic like my dh. However my 6 yo will problaby out do us all because she tells me all the time she has MAD SPEED.

Shelly- Nice run. I'm gald you and dh got some alone time last night. I think I have a good 15 years before I ever get that again. Dh and I had kids right away so we never got that time together. Not that I would change it but alone time is few and far between.

Lorie- I'm glad you had such a wonderful time at the sancturay. It takes a day like that to bring the world back into prespective.

done with the run. 1 hr 15 min but it took us 10 min to cross start. Great race. 52 bands, well entertainers. I'll be back with a full race report. This would be a great race for a GTG. It's fun!

Hola Cheetahs!

I don't know why I'm so tired today. I think the stress is adding up. :( I'm so worried about dh. I'm so happy he'll get lab results back and he's going for a colonoscopy Wed. He's lost so much weight and his stomach issues are not getting better. I'm really praying this is all stress related due to his mom's situation.

Cathy ~ WTG on the 14 miler! You did it! :D That figures about KM - yep, Murphy's Law is always in play here.

Jackie ~ You are moving along with the house! We've only done two rooms w/window treatments. It's been 6 years, I think it's time. lol

Wendy ~ Hope your having a nice time on vacation. Bummer about the location of the hotel. I think Amy IS doing just a kettlebell workout. I was looking for my preorder receipt and can't find it. ??? Better look into that. lol'd about the dancing comment! NO- I can't dance! I played GH w/the kids last night. DS told me I need to start with the tutorial. DD said I look like Jack Black from School of Rock. Was that the name of the movie!??! LOL!

Let me post this, so I can use more smilies. lol

Christine ~ Sounds like a fun race! How did DD do? Is she hooked?

Shelly ~ IA about Amy's workouts, but I still have trouble. LOL She is so on tip of things as far as customer service. The 2x's I had to contact NRGfitness, she responded directly. :) Good luck with the closing. It will be nice to have your privacy back. I bet that PT was impressed with your hilly run. :) Really? You think orthotics cause more problems? Hmmm After running w/o them (last weekend) and having foot pain...I don't know what to think. UGHH!!

Carole ~ I forgot to mention the PT wanted me to do compound exercises/total body using a balance object (i.e Bosu, foam, on foot, etc) to work on the muscle imbalances. It makes sense, but I still don't see the harm using 3 day splits. Oh well...guess it's a matter of opinion, huh?? IA about Will that was sure a surprise. I thought Joshua or Mark would have gone home. Aren't some of the dances just amazing. I think the blond choreographer is my favorite. Hope your run today is smoke free or close to it! Gosh, Beau is having a heck of a time. Did he get into something he wasn't supposed to again.

Karen ~ You have a lot on your plate. We're going through some things here as well. Anytime you want to talk, I'm here. I can completely relate to what you are going through. ((((HUGS))))

Gloria ~ Are you counting down the day until school/work starts? Pip sounds like he's doing well with his training. :)

Judy ~ So, you're catching the kettlebell fever? You're right, I'm keeping it low/no impact this week and hoping for the best.

Lorie ~ You're back at work already?!!!?! Summer gets shorter and shorter, doesn't it!

Wendi ~ You're the best!!! ((((HUGS)))) right back at ya! Hope work is uneventful.

Hi to the rest of the Cheetahs!

I slept in until 8:30A when the kids got up - that was my window to work out. I have to get a few things done around here before we go to my mil's house.

Have a great Sunday.

Just woke up from an extended nap. Just the ticket to feeling refreshed after getting only 4.5 hours last night.

Shelly :: Must feel like heaven to have the place all to yourselves again!...I do think there is something biomechanically "up" here. The cant strip placed in my ski made such a tremendous difference, and when it comes to running, the problematic leg is less achy when I run with the chiro-ordered heel cup in, BUT it's one of those adjustable heel lifts, and I just feel like the Fleet Feet guy might be right, that this should be the specialist's domain...There is a little bit of discomfort in my toes/foot pad. It's kind of hard to describe, almost like something feels pinched. My back feels just a little tight but is considerably better than it was yesterday. Exactly what happened last time, too. I don't dare tell the chiro. She seems hell bent on banning me from things lately. *lol*...Oh, thank you SO much for the offer, but to be honest, I kind of prefer to train alone. Besides, at the rate I'm deteriorating, you'd wind up having to carry me on your back. *lol* Anyway, I hope you understand!! It's not that I'm anti-social, but I just find that it doesn't work for me to run with others. I would love to get together, though, and am hoping to be able to meet up with some of you on the Friday of the next RT.

WT :: I don't think Aruba will work during Teachers' Convention weekend because of the quirky scheduling of the outbound flights from here, but I won't rule it out. I wonder how expensive it would be between X-mas and NY's. As for the surgery, I sorta have my doubts that it will happen on a weekend that's convenient with my school schedule. I already have to take a personal day just for the consult. He only meets with adult patients two times per day on certain days apparently, and the surgeries are scheduled on other days, yada yada ya... Love the pics. Too adorable! I love those cargo shorts you're wearing...Sure, I'd be glad to help you with the nutrition stuff. If you go to Workout Manager after you've logged into the forums, you will see a purple premium membership box on the left side. Just click on it, and it should take you through the purchasing process. But be forewarned, a couple of people have hit snafus at this stage. Hopefully you won't. The only other issue I still see happening is with login after you purchase. I have to do a little logging in/out trickery each time I first access the program, and if I'd idled too long it logs me out automatically, but once inside the software itself, it works fine.

Sheesh, how did I miss so many posts?

Karen :: Ooh, I am very intrigued by the double binder. I totally geek out over office and school supplies. I never did make it out, though. Didn't feel like navigating the shopping crowds today. Sounds like the little one takes after her speedster mom!

Dallas :: Oh, I'm so sorry DH is having a health scare of his own. I hope everything comes back clean. It sounds like you wanted to get that workout in this morning, but I think the sleep was more important. Can you carve out a little time to get a massage or pedi? I think you deserve it! Take care of yourself, and remember we are here for you. (((HUGS)))

Ooh, a good rumbler of a storm seems to be rollin' in here.

Cathy...I hope then that Fleet Feet can help.

Shelly...glad you got the evening alone with DH. Do you do ALL of Ab hits?? You are such a sweetie to me...the run was really nice today. We got to see some blue sky which is now a huge treat!! We got in 10 and it felt great!

Lorie..thanks! Your tantrum girl is perfect for this awful smoke.

Karen...the smoke was not too bad this morning and we got in the 10 miles.

Christine...good job on the run!

Dallas...I can only imagine how tough it is watching DH as he goes through this. I sure hope his issues are just anxiety. Yes the dancers on SYTYCD are awesome. I also thought it would be Josh or Mark. The problem with Beau is when DH is watching him outside, it is not quite watching if you know what I mean.

So the run went well. DH left for a work party at church. I needed it as he has been a jerk for the last week.

hello!

Hiya Cheetahs!

I finally have some time to get some postin’ in… Thank you all for the kind wishes for DH and his root canal issues and low and behold while the endodontist was in there working the one root canal; he discovered DH needs another one on the tooth next door!!! This is terrible news as DH has exhausted his benefit for the calendar year which means another $900 procedure not covered  ….uuugghhh.

Yesterday I tried to get in a longer run but got out too late and it got too hot. I did a lousy 5 miles in always hilly Auburn  . It was also a little smoky and I think that just messes with me the farther I go and probably because of the asthma. Today the air is much better. We had a fire scare a few miles yesterday…I was on the freeway coming home from Auburn and looked over and saw the tanker flying so low I could practically wave to the pilot! He dropped down in the trees and dumped the retardant on the huge flume of smoke…thankfully they got that sucker out before all uh hem broke loose.

Last night we attended the football fundraiser barbeque and silent auction. I had two Sierra Nevada pale ales along with the gourmet potato salad and green salad provided at the dinner (I don’t eat meat). I must say, after 4 days of eating wonderfully using the Cathe nutrition program, I felt like a snnnnaausage with 40 pounds of lead in my stomach! YUK.. Today I am making the “Stellar Legume Soup” from Tosca Reno’s Eat Clean book (had it many times before and it’s good!) and then going to put the recipe in my nutrition program. Also, I have some great fresh picks from the local Farmer’s market to prep for the week as well. I’m hoping to get in the 4D’s KB and maybe some yoga later to help cleanse the impurities consumed last evening…I’m on my 5th glass of water and I still feel like crapola… I’m also going to help DD get her room organized and some things packed for her semester at Oxbow.

Wendi – I know what you mean about the “general” posts and I feel the same – I love to read what my Cheetahs are doing and I think of them daily but don’t always have enough time to post. Hope your work day was shortened! You deserve a break from working so much!

Cathy – LOL chyeah, I should have listed a nap too on the blurb above ^ ….Hey, I scanned I think yesterday? and read you did 14 miles! WONDERFUL! as you know not all runs are created equal and there’s gonna be some harder than others but you rock, sista!- getting those miles in there when the going got tough! Oh, and I have the same issues with the nutrition program – F’s in potassium etc…I bought some dried apricots, natural almonds, and wheat germ to incorporate and I eat the Nature’s Path Optimum Power oatmeal which adds to the omega grades. I love the program because it forces me to make more choices of whole unprocessed foods in order to get good grades..lol. Also, it has opened my eyes to what my sodium consumption has been…sheesh! Hey, by the way, I have not forgotten about a donation – I’ll be paying bills this week and then I’ll hop on over to the site and get something in there…K?

Karen – Hi there, nice to see you posting here again! Hugs and prayers to you and your family, dear…Alrighty then…a tree dangling over power lines…hmmm…I’d say it has a leeetle bit of a PRIORITY? hello? sheesh… I hope you have a lovely vacation with your family!! We’re gathering up the school supply deals out here as well. That stuff can really add up!

Carole – Sorry you’re having the smoke issues so much! We’ve had some off and on but not nearly as bad as before - seems like a breeze today is making for much bluer sunny skies over yonder. Your doggie sounds so cute! I was going to say give Sadie some time but looks like she’s already coming around. It took our little terrier mix, Rescue, some time to warm up to Violet (the golden) when she was a puppy. Awe dang, youse guys are making want another puppy! DH would definitely kill me I’m sure if I brought home another pet…lol

Shelly – Hey! So cool you’re getting to move in than lovely home soon! Are you in an area of PA that will get the snow? If so, I bet them there rolling hills will be beautiful scenic blankets of snow ….of course, maybe all of PA gets snow? I wish we could get some of the East coast rain though! Glad you and DH got to have some alone time. I bet he’s real excited to move into the new place too! Ol’ Birdy sounds like a sweetie pie…bless her heart she hangs in there runnin’ with the “big dogs”…lol

Lorie – Thanks for sharing the pics! You look great and it’s obvious you were having a wonderful time in Aruba. I would LOVE to go back for a visit. Just not sure how much the air would cost me since it is soo far to go from out here. I agree with Gloria on the warm colors for the bulletin board and a few days ago me thinks I saw something about a fish tank – that would be good too. Um, yes of course that is if Linus agrees…lol. How is that cute lil’ bug anyway? LOVE that dog and like I said, he can come over to be doggysat anytime! My house is similar to Christine’s when it comes to pups…should be named “SPOILED Dogs R US”… LOL

Christine – YAY! Congrats on the run with DD! Hope ya’ll are enjoying the festivities. My hair stylist does that run in Santa Cruz every year and talks about how fun it is. Also, I had a thought about the nutrition plan and WW. Perhaps the “core” plan foods on WW will incorporate with the nutrition plan? I may look into that but I’m certain I’d rather track the foods in Cathe nutrition rather than WW. I am eating much better food choices with this new plan.

Dallas – Bless your heart dear…Here’s the hugest hug for you and your family ((((((HUGGGUH!))))). Keep your chin up…I am hoping and praying your DH’s issues are not serious. I think he’s probably really stressed. I agree with Cathy, you deserve a massage – you’re dealing with a tremendous amount of stress and holding up the world at the same time right now… You’re a wonderful person, hang in there!

Hello to Judy, Jackie, Wendy-lou, Gloria….jim bob, john-boy ;) …lol

ok, naturally it has taken forever and a day for me to get these personals done, so I better get a cracka-poppin’ now as I’m burnin’ daylight and have a long to do list! LOL

Posh…

Hiya ladies!

So I have a little break before I have to go back to feed. Was psyched about the shorter day and was going to come home and bang out 4DS BC/KB cardios but almost fell asleep drving home so me thinks I'll wait until tomorrow to get a workout in. Should be able to get a good long run in tomorrow morning and I'm soooooooooo looking forward to it....ahhhhhh!

Cathy - My admiration goes to ya for that tough, tough run yesterday....way to dig deep! I'm sorry you seem to be having foot problems though:(. I think a visit to the orthopedist is a good idea. I wouldn't want to see anything interfere with your training.

Karen - {{{{HUGS}}}} hon! Uhhhh, did the utility company ever wander out and take care of that tree...sheesh! I hope you had a lovely, well-deserved, day at the beach!

Carole - YIKES about the air quality there...scary! Great run today despite the smoke! Oh, man, it sounds like you need to break out the silly putty hammer for DH:mad:. So glad to hear that Sadie has finally adopted Beau as well. Um, Scrabulous???? If it has to do with Scrabble I'm all over that one!

Christine - Sounds like you had a great race with DD! So, has she been bitten by the bug yet? Hope the after party was fun! I'm relieved to hear that Kimo has bounced back, yet again. It must be the wonderful care and love she gets!

Shelly - I've got my fingers crossed for you that all goes well with your closing!!! Uh, yeah, that *does* sound like quite the houseful you've had lately. So did you go for that pm run? I was tempted, very tempted....but I'm still just dragging a little. Will be fully recovered for my one run tomorrow. After that I don't see another workout on the agenda until Friday at the earliest...we have another go around at the same show...gag me with a spoon:(.

Lorie - Oh, I loved what you had to say to Karen...gave me goosebumps. Wow, have you been a busy bee! What a wonderful gesture to help out at the sanctuary...sounds like a TON of work! Glad you enjoyed it! Loved the pics of your horse...where'd the name come from? He looks like a sweetie.

Dallas - {{{HUGS}}} comin your way love! I hope all goes well with DH's procedure...I wouldn't be surprised if the wieght loss is, indeed, from stress. It sounds like you needed the rest more than workout right now....try not to worry over that one. You'll know when a workout is in order:).

Posh - Love your novels, babe! I can't help but LMAO as I read em. Hey, cut yourself some slack regarding your runs there girl. Being able to log any kind of mileage with the air quality being as poor as it is has got to be tough on the body. Glad they squelched that fire quickly! Ouch, sorry about another root canal for DH...and ouch on the pocketbook, too! Know *exactly* what ya mean about feeling like a snnnnaaausage (LOL!). I did the same thing a few nights ago, and ugghhh! I always ask myself "why" after the fact and vow to never do it again and then I do it again. You guys are starting to twist my arm about the nutrition program but I'm just not sure I'll have the time right now to keep up with all the entries. Maybe I'll just wait a couple of weeks *shrugs*.

Hi to Judy, Jackie, Gloria, and Wendy...hope you're all having a fantastic weekend.

Oh, BTW, so I'm going to do all I can to head to Jersey for the Aug RT. Who have we got going for the Fri am class? Lorie, Wendy, Shelly, myself, Cathy? I didn't miss anyone right?

Gotta go back and feed and then I'll probably crash. I'm hoping to have a 10ish miler to report to you all tomorrow morning...*fingers crossed*. Have a great night ladies!
