I've got a serious case of spring break fever as I can't wait to finish my NB work and send it off!! :7 It'll be SO nice to be able to focus on just that. 'Nuff o' the boring stuff:

hello all!!

i am so excited today we are having our new dining room set delivered!! oh the things that make a girl happy:7

workout today is a 30 min itread and my tt workout of the day. it looks scaaaaaaaary;-) }(

cathy- so happy to hear you back to your chipper self again!

christine- no i haven't tried either of those yet. or a few others i bought. i will let you know once i give them a whirl:D

lorie- i hope you are able to get in some fun time while off from work.

I jsut finished a 7 mile run and abs. I have to work all day today and then I am throwing a surprise sleepover party for DD at my MILS house. It should be a busy day!

Wendi :: glad your foot is cooperating for you…sounds like you were plenty worked out with that riding list yesterday…yes, I am well over the bug I had, but I did get hit with two migraines (Sunday and Tuesday), so it’s been a bit of bumpy ride. All is good, though. Mind over matter. :)

Christine :: sounds like your finger must still be sore. I’m planning on doing Providence tomorrow.

Carole :: mmm, that soup looks delish.

Kath :: another East Coast cheetah here…I’m in Jersey, near Philly.

Jackie :: is that a new thing that the hip is acting up for you at night?

Shelly :: sounds like things are really moving along at a good clip for you…IA with you about iTrain’s changes…did Jerry bag the coyote?

Wendy :: Yeah, I am VERY happy about having all of spring break to finish this off. It will be SUCH a relief to focus on this only. I’m generally not a person who gets shaken easily, but yeah, this has been very much an up-and-down process, and it’s been a challenge sometimes to hold it together under the pressure. It’s definitely the hardest thing I’ve ever worked for…I usually find M&F Hers at Target, but it wasn’t there last time. I bought the regular M&F instead but won’t make that mistake again. It’s even worse than Oxygen with the ads!…I have to admit, that I never do workouts from magazines. I like to follow a video. But Mint sounds like a great one I may have to try.

WT :: sent you some fun Flair on Facebook…thanks for the encouragement!!…I wound up not signing up for the Nike Half…I will be working straight through break, too, but I thank God I have this time or I would not make the deadline. I can rest when it’s over. I am off from March 21-March 30.

Kristi :: sorry to hear you’ve picked up some injuries…my opinion is to have it checked by a doc. **sending healing vibes**

ETA: Lori :: Yeah, I'll be working straight through it, but that's what I need right now. Hope all goes well with the sleepover.

Morning Girls :) :) I know I get up early--but what time do you all crawl out of bed? :)

My schedule has me doing another 3miler --so I may be crawling it today. Who knows I may be a slow cheetah :) :) I'll also kill my triceps. I like DOMS }( I will probably work my abs on the machines at the gym too.

Jackie: yes we did get some rain. But none of that nasty freezing stuff. It is still raining this morning so maybe that nasty white stuff will be gone for good. HA! A girl can only hop.

ShellyC: Major change for you I say. Az must be a beautiful state. I know PA is pretty too. I just hate driving through it to get down south for spring break. It's one big state :)

Wendy: I'm fast on a good day. I don't have many of those. Who knows today I may be crawling that 3 miles. I run at my gym and I have a few fans. Golden oldies group. They sit at the juice bar while I log my miles. I think they are betting on whether I can finish every morning :) :) :) Nothing like having some 60 year olds watch ya :7

Wendi: Hope you got some sleep last night. Sounds like you have a busy life.

Cathy: Thank you for the welcome. Your snowball makes me dizzy :) You are a teacher? What grade? You should be enjoying your springbreak on a beach some place :) :)

Ok I need a refill. May hit gym early. I totally forgot about it being Easter this weekend. DD has today off from school and DH will be home tomorrow.

Happy Spring Cheetahville!

I have to be in to work early this morning so this will be a fly by for now. I did 4DS Bootcamp/LB Circuit...FUN, FUN, FUN!!!! I can't believe I didn't try this one sooner. I did sub *much* heavier weights for the first set of "warm up" squats and added the outer thigh with band, low pulse lunges (B&G) and firewalkers, before the core work.

Today is another marathon riding day but I should have time to get here tonight for personals before bowling. Ciao for now!
 
Good Morning.

Well I was supposed to be off today and work tmrw. I got a call last night and someone wanted to switch hours with me so I'm working 8-11 today and this gal will work my 8-11 shift on friday. It actually works out better for me (for once), so I'm happy about. :)

When I get home later I will FINALLY be doing yoga. I'm feelin' it this morning. I feel like I need it. I have some DOMS in most of my back, obliques and shoulders. Feels great and satifies my DOMS craving I had but also signals a good time for some stretching. ;)

I've been enabled once again....Mark Blanchard's Progressive Power Yoga Series has been mentioned here in the past and I have considered buying it. I was much newer to yoga at the time so I talked myself out of it. Well, there is a very positive post about the series on the O/F now and it pushed me over the edge. }( I should have the set just in time for next week's yoga session. :)

I still have a few minutes for personals:

Cathy: Glad you are feeling more like your old self. :) I usually never follow work outs from a mag but I couldn't resist this one. If you try it, I hope you like it. It seems to be a hit so far. ;)
So you are spring break starting tmrw? YAY!!!

Lorie: Hey, atleast while you are on break and writing your paper, you will be on YOUR schedule and not the school's so you can jump on here and post when you see fit and ya won't have to worry about early meetings. See? There's a silver lining in every cloud. ;)

Sunny: These TT work outs are like the big secret with you ey? LOL You never told us what kind of exercises they involve. I saw the site but I couldn't tell from that either. Care to share a bit? ENABLE me girl!}( NOT that I need anything else on my plate right now but I really am just curious as heck!:D

Lori: Holy cow. EARLY run there baby. Good for you. I couldn't do that. I want to go to the gym early for my run tmrw but that will probably mean getting there at 8am! LOL BTW, your new avitar is precious!!!

Kathy: The story about the 60 year olds watchin' you is pretty funny. Enjoy your 3 miles today!

Wendi: Glad you had fun with 4DS today. I have barely touched on those work outs. There's just too much try and not enough time to try it all!!!:eek:

Wendy...I bet you will like the soup..:)..The 1st time I made it I could only find Ranch Style beans w/jalapenos, wow, did that give the soup a kick!!! Enjoy yoga today.

Kristi..have you been icing the knee? For training you might have to back off a bit running wise. Just avoid any weight exercises that aggaravate the knee. How nice you get Good Friday off!

Kath...I agree that time yesterday is great for 3 miles! I usually get up about 5 AM. So did you decided on which schedule to follow for your upcoming half marathon and is it your 1st one?

Jackie...I also add some Quorn grounds to the taco soup for some added protein. LOL about the frozen onions...:)..GS legs is always a good one...

Shelly...wow! May 6 will be here before you know it!! Good job with DM. You are so welcome re : The China Study. I am glad it opened your eyes as it did mine. I only wish more people would see the connection...:)...Glad you found a cheese you could use. So did DH find the coyote? I remember when we 1st moved in here, we had a few too many of them around. Hope you had a fun workout.

Has anyone ever had their eyebrows waxed?...I did yesterday for the 1st time...yeow!! One of the hairdressers I work with wanted some practice and I said yes....it is still a bit red.

I am doing CTX back, abs, and maybe a circuit with my EXT and 4DS legs (freestyle).

Shelly - Enjoying the Gym Styles this week. Moving sounds like so much fun.x( I know it's a lot of work along with trying to keep up with a full time schedule. You will probably get a lot done during your 4 nights off. Are you nevouse and excited about the move? Your description of DH with the rifle made me think of The Rifleman. :) Did he get that coyote?

Wendy - Glad to hear no problems with the shoulder. So did you get good results with your last X rotation? Guess you gotta concentrate on that running now to prepare for your races. Enjoy yoga today.

Lorie - Great cardio session for you yesterday. Glad that hip is behaving. Maybe the shots will last a few years. A girl can hope anyway.

Wendi - Good attitude about not getting your workout in. Sometimes it's just impossible. Know you will make it up somewhere. A few areas around me got hit but nothing like what hit us in Feb. Hope you have a good day at work.

Kristi - Sounds like you need to give that knee a little longer to heal. Maybe you can do some UB workouts.

Cathy - Hope you finish the NB so you can concentrate on some fun stuff. You've been working hard. I've been having hip problems probably the last 5-6 years. But, cortisone shots have been alleviating the problem until recently. The first one worked for about 3 years. The last one seemed to have worked for about a year. Seems like hill running aggravated it. Been trying to keep the incline to 3% or less. It's just old ugly bursitis acting up.

Sunny - Enjoy that new dining room set. Now you have to fix a nice meal to break that baby in. Have a great workout!

Lori - Great job on the 7 mile run. Hope DD has a blast at her party.

Kath - I'm usually up and working out by 4:30. The time change seemed a little harder for me this time. Good luck with your 3 miles today. Hope the white stuff disappears soon for you.

Susan - Hope you have a wonderful birthday!

Carole - I get my brows waxed once a month. I've gotten used to that. It's the 'stache that hurts so bad I don't care how often I get it. It brings tears to my eyes. The pain we go through for beauty. Think you will do it again? Enjoy your workout.

I did iClimb #14 iBi Boot Camp. I warmed up with 6 Minute Abs and finished up with Denise Austin's Yoga Abs. Great workout.

Morning Cheetahs!

Well, the sinus thing got the best of me. I'm on a z-pack. :( I dressed in my workout clothes y-day....all day (I wanted to, but my head and body just couldn't). Oh well, I got a lot done in the house despite feeling so crappy. I felt much better when I got up this morning. I started Phase 2 early w/Chest, Shoulders and Triceps. (Not my favorite workout so far, but maybe cause I'm not 100%?). Got the kids off to school and now ready for some cardio and ARX.

Oh, I got M&F for Her and that workout (Mint Condition) looks really good.}( Thanks Wendy! The soup recipe looks good too. :)
 
Hello Again!

Quick workout report: I did iClimb#27/30, but added 15 to make a total of 45 minutes and then ARX. I still don't like those mason twists. :p I feel so much better. It's so weird how it hit me so hard Tues. afternoon. Guess I'm the last one to be sick in the house. We have to be done now, right?!??! I sure hope so w/Spring break starting. :D

I have to get some lunch for DS, but I'll be back after that. :)

Carole ~ The Clean Eating magazine is new. I’ve made a lot of the recipes from the Winter issue. I can’t wait to get the Spring issue. Good stuff! I’ve waxed my legs, bikini and eyebrows. I have to say the legs.....Yeowch!!! The only reason I'd do it again is the no shaving...for a long time....part. ;-)

Christine ~ How does Have Mercy compare to the iCycle workouts? I think the iCycles are tough! How's the hand?

Wendi ~ Yeah, no foot pain after your run!!! I can’t remember if I have tried that circuit? Sounds like a goody!

ETA: Thanks for the "cheers" for the BF%. I don't know if I can give all the credit to P90X. I can't remember the last time I checked that number. Maybe when I did a mini GS rotation? Anyway, I'll take it. I'm also using the P90X workouts as more endurance w/12-15 reps and moderate weight instead of 8-10 at the heavier. Something is working! :) As long as my pants fit the way they do -that's all that matters! :D Ok, really have to study while I have the opportunity. ;-)
 
I'm home from my mom's/training.

I had to stop at Walgreens to pick up diapers for Joey on the way out tonight and they had the perfect push up's $20.00 version there. I grabbed it up with out even thinking about it!}( :7

It's a wonder I've successfully avoided kettlebells for as long as I have, ey? :p
