:::::CHEETAHS::::Sleepy Saturday?

Good morning ladies!

***Crickets chirping***

Where is everyone? I hope you all are catching some good zzzzzz's right now.

Just finished up RS. Still not feeling 100% in the energy department and I'm working by myself today so I opted for an easy one. I'll try to kick it back up with a good circuit tomorrow and then a run Monday.

Actually, some weird things have been going on that are leading me to believe that I might be having a Lyme relapse...mixed up words, sometimes coming out as total gibberish, odd aches and pains that I've *never* had, sluggish, etc. I'll probably end up going in and having them run a titer..great, just what I need right now:rolleyes:.

I'll BRB with personals.

Christine - I'm looking forward to trying your world famous chili, too! Had to LOL about the "cyclist with running problem..." comment...too funny! I will definitely keep those books in mind if I ever have some time kill...I used to read A LOT and I miss it. I get to stay "home" as in no horse shows but it's major crunch time getting everything back into work and getting caught up on all the repairs that need to be done that occurred while I was away:rolleyes:.

Carole - Hopefully you're DOMS-less for your run today...getting in some good mileage now, huh? Glad to say that the hammer has been put away...he was quite apologetic last night:). Enjoy the UB!

Judy - Ooooh, yummy! I still can't wiat to try that Spinach Alfredo Lasagna. When is that Buffalo half? I just may consider it, especially since I'm not sure I'm going to make Philly:(.

Shelly - Glad you're enjoying the fall display out here. I can tell you, having lived 28 years out here, fall *NEVER* becomes ho-hum:D. It's my favorite time of year, especially for running!!! Enjoy GS and your TM run today. Nope, no rest for the wicked this weekend...just the opposite. I have a TON of catching up to do.

Linda - Oh goodness...I'm so sorry to hear about DD's issues:(. {{{HUGS}}} and prayers coming your way!!! Um, I'm sorry but those are horrible working conditions for someone who's pregnant with health concerns:eek::(. I hope your workout provided some stress relief for you.

Dallas - I had no idea you had gone through all that! Thank goodness it was caught sooo early. Glad the mammo wasn't too bad. Yeah, I probably was a leetle cranky but what he said was uncalled for and, quite frankly, hurt. He asked if I was bored of him cause I fell asleep on the way to and from bowling Thursday night. WTH???? I'm exhuasted for cryin' out loud:eek:! Sheesh, I worked 37 hours in two days:eek::confused::mad:. I think I had a right to be a bit sleepy! Sorry for the vent:eek:.

Wendy - Hey, sometimes you just don't feel it and you were wise to call it a day. You'll know when you're up for it. Besides you certainly had enough on your plate yesterday.

Jackie - Did I hear something about you running a 5K today? If you are, I'm sending lotsa {{{{{CHEETAH SPEED}}}}}} your way!

Posh - Golly lady! That's quite the jam packed schedule you've got there:eek:! I wish you the best of luck getting it all done...although, I KNOW you'll find a way! See post to Dallas^^^^ regarding the hammer. At least he was very apologetic last night and took me out to dinner:). You know, that's exactly how I look at those long riding lists;).

Karen - But, see, you KNOW you would have had a pretty vicious food hangover had you eaten the pancakes;). Good for you for making the healthy choice:). I think you are wise to take it easy this weekend...enjoy it!!! Mmmmm, I may just have to stop for a latte after I check out LNT sale after work tonight.

Cathy - How was your TM run last night? Yeah, sorry about the negative vibes lately. It just never seems to end...yesterday got lectured from bosshole that I'm mean to the new girl, WTF?!?!?!?!?! I couldn't be any nicer and couldn't try to make her job any easier. I swear I'm this close to losing it right now but I'm going to try to follow your lead......serenity now, zen, etc:p.

Gotta get moving...lots to do before clients show up. Have a fabulous Saturday chicas!

OH Wendy- go right away and get that titer done! How long ago did you have Lyme disease? (((HUGS))) and I hope your instincts are wrong!

Sleepy Cheetah here. I'm taking it easy today. The cold is in full swing so my energy is low. I think knowing I was going to rest today allowed me to sleep in a little extra. It's pretty cold here today. I love it. We are still going out to the pumpkin patch and fall stuff today so I'm taking a nice warm bath this morning and then eating some oatmeal and oj. I'll come around.

Wendi= I hope it's not that. We live in the woods and every time my kids get bit by a tick I freak out. Luckly no one has had it yet.

Morning Judy :D

HI Again :)

Cathy- & Wendy- The Buffalo half and full marathon is May 24. But I really do not know how much crowd support there will be and DD17's senior Ball is the night before. I am going to look and see if there is something more east of here. I thought there was a race in Utica but I doubt crowd support will be any good there either. Ithaca may be better but that is very hilly country!

Dallas- We played at Seven Bridges last year or in 2006. This year we are at Edge Ice Arena on Halloween in Bensenville and on November 1 , we are at Addison Ice Arena in Addison.

Cathy- I don not remember the name of the restaurant in Naperville, but it was on the main street and it was a large, well known Italian/ Pizza restaurant.

Good morning cheetahs

Cathy..I think I missed the red tights lady. Chicago would be fun again if all things work out. I won't really think about it until after Napa. Mom has not mentioned smoking. She does know though that she will have to smoke outside at my sister's.

Wendi..I didn't know you had Lyme's. Does it ever go away totally, or is there always a chance of a relapse? I hope you are not having a relapse. I have been running 5 days a week and getting my weekly mileage to about 30-32. I want to be up to about 36-40 by the beginning od Dec and that feels doable. Glad your SO was apologetic last night...:)

Judy..thank you! Yes I am still vegetarian. It is nice with Cathe's nutrition program as you can get specifically "vegetarian" suggestions when you might be short in some vitamin or mineral. So when is the Buffalo half you might be considering?

Karen...sorry about the cold. Hope the Airborne can give you some releif or at least shorten the duration of the cold. Thanks re: my Mom. She will be happy getting out of rehab.

Shelly...I bet your fall colors are lovely. It is nice you get to enjoy them so when running. Yes, depending on how Napa goes I might be doing 2 marathons next year! I think you would love Chicago, huge crowds but very organized.

Linda...thanks for the update on your DD. That is awful her job does not allow at least water for her to drink while working. Glad some of the other tests came back good. I will keep her in my prayers. I joined you with CTX yesterday. I did Sho's and tri's.

Dallas...good job with the APX leg premix and TM run. LOL about the running outfits in Chicago. I was amazed at the runners overdressed as well as under dressed!! I imagine you could register for Napa now. Yes, the training for 2 could be taxing for you and the kids. Did you get any ideas for your 13th Anniversary gift?

Christine..I agree that running with help you with riding. I have not marathon trained in quite awhile, so that will be interesting for me! I chose CTX for my shoulders and tri's yeaterday, Cathe does have some great choices...:)

Jackie...I think the DOMS is finally gone today. Yes, Mom is happy to be getting out of rehab soon. Sounded like a good workout for you yesterday.

Posh...glad you will get your nail fixed today! LMAO about "Happy Sunday", maybe I should look him up for tips???...:D..Hey, speaking of the Chardonnay, we must wine taste after the marathon in Napa!!

I am planning on a 20 min iClimb before a L&G/KPC premix.

Have a great day...:)

Good morning Cheetahs!

Getting prepared for the 5K race this morning. Trying to decide if I want to wear shorts or tights. The temp is 48 right now. Don't want my legs to get cold while I'm standing around but don't want them to get too hot while I'm running. Decisions! Decisions!

Wendi - Oh, dear, hope you're not having a relapse girl. Feel better. Decided to go ahead and do the 5K. It's a fundraiser for St. Jude Children's Hospital too. Thanks for the speed wishes.

Karen - Take care of that cold and get plenty of rest. Enjoy the pumpkin patch.

Dallas - I still have a little touch of DOMS today but it shouldn't prevent me from running this morning. Did you find the perfect gift for DH? Thinking about going to Wal-Mart and picking up a Wii for DBF for Christmas. Need to get one while I can find it. DBF should be here later today.

Posh - A busy day for you. Hope you can squeeze a good run in.

Cathy - DBF will not be at the race to take pics. It's such a small race and sometimes he has appointments on Saturday. I wasn't really sure I would run because I didn't register. Somebody will have a camera and I'll have to see if I can't get a copy. Did you get a nice run in ?

Christine - Ahhh! Understand about Napa. Sometimes traveling can be exhausting. Week went a little faster for me because of the holiday. Didn't mind a bit.

Well better run. BBL wit a race report. Enjoy your day!

Good morning, cheetahs!

No sleepin’ in for me. Been up early gettin' stuff done. J

Christine—my MT is a bit steep, too, but I have gone elsewhere to save a few, and it is just not the same. My spa does run coupons (15 or 20% off) fairly often, so that helps, too. Visited the Big Sur site—wow! Stunningly beautiful. Noted the Bart Yasso quote: If we were told that we could run only one marathon in our lifetime, Big Sur would have to be it.” Hmm…in addition to your & Carole’s testimony, the photos are seriously compelling! I’m thinkin’ I’ve GOTTA come out for this sometime. I don’t know if someday (with a lot of work!) I might be able to run a course that challenging within the time limit J, but the 10-miler looks just as appealing (and is perhaps more realistic!).

Carole—totally understand that Napa will determine where you go next with your training & racing. I really hope I can be there to cheer you (and any other cheetahs) on!...Enjoy your iClimb and L&G/KPC premix. Sounds like a surefire plan to fry the legs.

Dallas—I’m glad MIL is responding to the chemo & doing well enough to get out of the house. How’s DH been with the stomach issues?...Will have to try Malnati’s and Oven Grinders next time—which just might happen sooner than next October! J J J...I didn’t realize you had a close brush with cancer, too. I must say, I would never have guessed that you could be 36 years old or beyond—you look great!

Judy—That one is within a two-hour drive for me, so yes, I would definitely consider joining you for the half.

Wendi— Sorry to hear you might be having a Lyme relapse. Hey, vent if ya gotta! I was totally kidding—that’s just an expression I like to use (on myself, too!) J We all have days like that when Zen just ain’t happenin’.

Well, I shamelessly never did make it on the ‘mill last night, and I have no good excuses. *lol* I just didn’t do it. I was fooling around pricing trips instead, and then I watched Spirit of the Marathon again. *sigh* :) But I’d more or less planned on this being a “whatever-I-feel-like” kind of week, anyway, so it’s all good as far as I’m concerned. I’ll be happy with three easy runs. Gives me a nice recovery week before beginning a new rotation on Monday.

Have a terrific Saturday!

ETA:

Jackie—simulposting! Fleet feet vibes comin' your way. Having similar temps here, so I was thinking about what I will wear, too. When it's in the 40s, I usually go with a long-sleeve tech shirt with shorts.

Totally pissed now. Had a wonderful nice relaxing bath this morning before the kids got up. Got dressed and went to get the kids their breakfast. I made a huge crock pot of oats with apples. I had enough for all four of us girls. Then I went to pour some rice milk on it and instead poured chicken broth over all of them.:mad::mad::mad:. Now it's cold cereal for all of us. UGHHHHHHHHHHH:(

Morning Girls!

We're about to leave for a very cold and damp soccer game. What a change from last weekend, huh? Anyway, today is a rest day. I still may do a quickie yoga premix. Tomorrow will have to be my shorter long run, but we are going out tonight. So...;)

Cathy!!! ~ It may be sooner that you'll come back?!!? Thanks for asking about the family. DH still has the stomach thing going on right now. He's using the nutrition software. I keep asking him what his report card is, but he has no idea what I'm talking about. I'm guessing if he gets straight A's like Carole ;) maybe it will clear up. I haven't had the time to fiddle with it. :( Where is the report card? Oh, thanks! you are too kind!!! I can't believe I'm so close to 39!! Yikes! Yes, that was a very scary time for me. :( I had just started my Masters too. I put it on hold and never started back with it. You deserve a nice and easy week! I'd like to see that Spirit movie

Jackie ~ A Wii would be a great gift. We have so much fun with it. Good luck with your 5K. :) What did you decide to wear? No, did not find anything for DH. He has everything!!! UGH!

Carole ~ I know the more I thought about it, I'd love to run in Napa in March. I think it would be very difficult to get away. :( If we could make a family trip out of it, I wouldn't feel so bad. However, dh dies not fly. I AM excited that so many are contemplating Chicago '09 though!! I WILL be there and running with the Cheetahs!:D

Judy ~ Too bad you're so far from me, I'd pop in the ice arena to say, "HI!" and meet you. :) You never know though, I haven't checked our soccer schedule we could be in your neck of the woods. I'll check when we return.

Karen ~ Enjoy your rest day too. How fun the pumpkin patch! :) ETA: I've accidently poured beef broth instead of chicken broth when making Italian bean soup. :( Sorry about the breakfast!

Wendi ~ Glad you'll get that checked out. I'm so freaked with the ticks around here. DD was walking to the bus stop and I looked behind her ear and saw a tick!!! Sorry you're feeling so crummy. Oh, SO is feeling a little neglected. Aren't they like little boys!?!? ha ha

So, somehow I missed my doc's call about the mammo. He said everything is fine, but I need to call him for the next step? What the heck is next? I thought I'd be good for another year or two???

Well, better get going...at least it's a home game. :)

Hi to the rest of the Cheetahs!

Happy Saturday Cheetahs!!!

Man was it nice to sleep in!!

Dallas – Wow! Glad they caught the cancer early :eek:. That must have been terrifying for you and your family. And to have to go through it all again with MIL. Wow. The no PMS symptoms would be nice!! Thank heavens for pap smears, eh? Glad MIL is doing well.

Wendi – I like RS – it’s a fun one. You’re right, not as tough as some, but fun. Oh man I hope it’s not a Lyme relapse! ITA with Judy - best to get it checked out! Well, at least you get to sleep in your own bed. But, I get the idea that your “not up to my normal energy level” is much higher than most people’s high energy level. You’re amazing. :D

Karen – Oh! Sorry to hear you’re sick. Have fun at the pumpkin patch! Sorry about the oats and apples. :( That does sound delicious!

Judy – I’m enjoying hearing about the marathons and halfs! They all look fun!

Carole – Thanks for the info you sent me. I’m going to try it. I increased my water in take, too, and that seems to be helping (although I had to get up 3 times last night!) I plan to bring Mike to Napa so I can ride up and down the course to get photos. That will be fun.

Jackie – GO JACKIE GO!! Enjoy your 5k today!!! I hate those decisions – did you end up like I would with capri’s? Oh California is too politically correct to celebrate Columbus Day. I took a day off work. The 4 day work week was nice, though, I’ll tell ya!

Cathy – I do agree that with MT’s you get what you pay for. And YES, Big Sur is amazing. It truly is one of the most beautiful places on earth. The 10.6 (and they also have a 21 miler if you want more distance and to run over the BIG bridge) is a wonderful run. Very well supported and with bands (well assorted musical entertainment) throughout the course. Not too many crowds until you get closer to Carmel, but that’s not as big a deal when you can look out over those views. Have fun with your new rotation! :D

Wow, it’s actually raining today. Showers, so nothing too bad, but we do need it, so I’m not complaining. I do plan a long ride today – about 50 miles or so. I’m still on the fence about the Tour di Stupid. I don’t think I’m ready for such a ride yet. That’s 10 hours on a bike and the most I’ve done is five right now. I could probably push it and manage it, but I don’t think it would be fun. I’d rather train properly and do such a ride when I’m 100% ready. We’ll see. If I can do a 50 this weekend, a 60 the following and a 70 the weekend after that, and can do it comfortably, then I may consider it. :p I hope everyone has a great day!!

Getting ready to head out to the pumpkin patch and get some new ornaments for the tree as we always do each year.

Judy- Mapquest put that half about 2:30 away from me. Looks good

Jackie- Can't wait for the race report. Good Luck. Go Jackie.

Dallas—That *is* quite a change from last weekend! How'd the game go?...I hope DH's stomach problems clear soon...I am chuckling about him not knowing anything about the grades. The report card is visible on the upper left-hand side of the screen--I'm thinking he *must* see that but not the GPA. Which I didn't see, either, until someone here pointed it out. It's right underneath the report card "box."...I don't know about the next step after the mammo?? Wonder if anyone else has experience in this department to shed some light. Shelly would likely know. But if he said "everything is fine," then everything must be fine, and they are following the proper protocols. Keep us in the loop on that...Yes! I might actually come back in December if I can find a cheap package. I hear the city is just wonderful during the holidays. Will see.

Christine—I'm glad you were able to sleep in...Yeah, I can see why Big Sur is on your list every year. Simply gorgeous!...I do still think B2B is one that must be done once in one's lifetime. :) That would be a hoot...Your thoughts about Tour de Stupid make sense to me. How was today's ride in the rain?...My rotation is basically the same as it was just before I dropped the weights—4 days running, two circuits, 1 day yoga.

I enjoyed a solid 2.25 run—keepin' it simple in the "reverse taper." :) I felt my knees on the uphill, but nothing of concern. It's a little brisk out there today, but the fall colors are just breathtaking.

OK, off to my massage & hair trim. Ciao!

Hi Cheetahs! I'm back!

My time was 27:29 by my Garmin. Probably a second or two less officially. I'll have to check when the times are posted. I came in 1st in the 40+ age group. Got a big trophy to add to my collection. Some little young thing came in first overall female. And, a baby came in first in the 10 and under. He looked so cute sitting there holding his trophy when we took pics. It was a good run and my legs did well. This was the same course I ran back in April and knocked at least a minute off that time. If they would just take that hill off for the last .1 of a mile, everyone would do much better. I'm happy with the results. The temp did rise a little and I wore shorts and a short sleeve shirt. Took a jacket and some pants just in case I needed them after the race. Came home and ran 2 more miles on the treadmill and did some stretching.

Also, my neighbor was running the race too. He's going to help me train for the half in Dec. because he plans on running it too. I got to meet his wife and their son too. Said he would map out some routes. I'm glad we finally got to set some plans. This should make running a little more fun too.

Carole - Glad the DOMS is gone. Enjoy your workout today.

Cathy - Sounds like a nice relaxing night for you. You deserve to take your time getting back into the workout groove. I'm still so proud of you! Good run today. Enjoy that massage.

Karen - Sorry about the chicken broth mishap! I've used salt where I meant to use sugar before.

Dallas - Enjoy your rest day. Hope the soccer game isn't too bad. Have fun tonight. DBF has everything too. Get tired of racking my brain trying to come up with something for him. I've heard him talk about the Wii and Play Station. Just got the regular console to see if he likes it. If he does, we can get some more controls and games. That was a strange phone call from your doctor. Maybe he just wants to remind you to schedule again next year.

Christine - I complain to my sis in Chicago that they get too many holidays. She works for Cook County. Think they make some up just so they can get a holiday. :D Enjoy your ride today. Tour di Stupid sounds grueling to me. Your plans sound good to go at your own pace.

I need to hop in the shower now. Enjoy your day ladies.

Hey everyone!

The surgeon is going to wait until after the baby is born before performing the surgery (if she doesn’t run a fever or start having severe acute attacks). He said the gallbladder does not have much edema right now and her amylase level is only slightly elevated, so he feels she should be okay. Thank God! Literally!

Wendi - Oh dear! When did you first come down with Lyme’s? I hope you aren’t having a relapse! Could that be one of the reasons for your swollen lymph nodes?
Try to take it easy and get as much rest as you can!

Judy - Did you decide to do the Buffalo half? I really would like to do a spring marathon! I am not sure how that is going to pan out since my daughter’s baby is due in February. But…I think I should be okay with training! May would be a good time! It wouldn’t be “too” hot yet! I am searching and debating what I will do...or if I will be able to do one again ;)

Carole - I love CTX! It has been so long since I have done it! It “felt” new again! J Enjoy your iClimb and L&G/KPC!

Karen - Oh my gosh! Bless your heart!!! I would have been sooo mad, too! That really sounds like something I would have done! Hmmm….chicken flavored oatmeal….But see…..the chicken soup may have helped your cold ;) On a serious note….I hope you feel better!

Jackie - Congratulations of your race and on shaving off time from last year’s! That is wonderful! Good idea on taking the pants and jacket, just in case!

Cathy - Great job on the 2.25 miles! I love fall…it is absolutely my favorite time of year!
I agree about last night! You need no excuses….you are supposed to be recovering J I let Patty borrow my Run, Fat Boy, Run….but I haven’t been able to part with “Spirit” yet…I, too, want to watch it again! Did I tell ya that I cried during the last part? Silly, huh….but it is such a long journey and I could sooo relate to those people and imagine what it would be like!

Christine - We really desperately need rain here, too. I love the name….“Tour Di Stupid” :) The thought of riding 50 miles, let alone 100, 70, or 60 totally amazes me! That is just awesome! What is the average temperature for Big Sur?

Dallas - Hmmm…I wonder what the doc meant about the “Next step”? I guess I need to go back and catch up from the past couple of days….did you have a lump or something? Isn’t it amazing how the temps so drastically changed so quickly?? Enjoy the soccer game and try to stay dry!

Today we ran 13 miles. Patty’s Achilles has been bothering her this week a lot. Her hamstring is better. She was really down about it yesterday and afraid she wouldn’t be able to run today, or to even do the marathon, period. But, I very happy to say that after taking yesterday off, she said it felt fine today. She said she could “feel” it but nothing that she couldn’t deal with. I hope she remains okay. She is definitely happy we are “tapering”, verses her original idea that she was not going to!! J It was a good run!

Hey to everyone!! I hope everyone has a great day!

Good evening ladies!

Just finished up some mighty yummy leftovers from dinner last night :9 (you know, I miss the *yummy* smiley:(), I'm gonna get my Cheetah fix and then head to bed early. I am a bit knackered.

Oh, yeah, regarding the Lyme (which I'll try to squeeze that appt in on Monday)...had it, gosh, had to be around 12ish years ago. Seems like it was caught very early, just had some swelling in my knee. Abx for a month (which they discovered I was *deathly* allergic to the doxy, but only after the fact lol! Turns out that the peeling skin that I experienced is a symptom of some rather dangerous condition associated with the allergy...who knew???). Fully recovered and I've had no problems since. I could be totally off-base with this but it's worth the $20 blood test to check if it's higher than my previous baseline. I don't know...I just don't think I should be *this* tired and, like I said, my speech has been rather garbled for the past month or so. Could that be a product of exhaustion...might be, not sure *shrugs*.

Judy - I could definitely be on board for that half in Allentown. Looks like it would be about 2ish hours for me and that's a good date. OMG, it would be a blast to do that one with a bunch of Cheetahs! Uh, yeah, Ithaca could be rather challenging:eek:.

Karen - Oh my, honey, NOT a nice way to start your morning:confused::mad:. I'm so sorry. Although, I have to admit that I did LOL as I've been known to do stuff like that. Hope you had fun, yet restful, day at the pumpkin patch:).

Carole - Lyme never goes away...it lies dormant in your central nervous system until something "wakes it up" so there's always the possibility of relapse. I didn't realize that the nutrition software let you specify veg only suggestions...that had to help a bunch! Oh, see, there you go punishing those poor legs of yours again:p. Hope you had a great workout.

Jackie - WOOOHOOO, huge congratulations on the first place finish and in a great time!!!!! How great that it was for St. Jude's:).

Cathy - Sounds like you had a very productive day today....don't you just love those? I can't blame you for not keeping that date with the TM last night...you had a looooooong week lady! Oh, I knew you were kidding...your comment just made me realize just how crappy of a mood I *was* in. Grrrr! So what new rotation are you starting Monday? Hope you had a wonderful massage and got a good trim.

Dallas - Glad the mammo was normal but I share your confusion...what's "next???" Ooooh, I don't envy you having to sit out there in the damp cold for a soccer game:(. Uh, yeah, finding ticks on your kids would get ya VERY freaked out!!! Well, DSO worries about the "gap"...he is *much* older than I am and thinks that he's an old fart (which couldn't be farther from the truth!) and that he doesn't always "thrill me" like a younger dude would. Um, if I want thrills I'll go jump out of a plane or something:p.

Christine - Oh, hon, you've got me blushing but I can't hold a candle to others here! How was your ride today?

BRB, phone's ringing....

Sorry about the interruption. Last, but certainly not least....

Linda - Prayers that your DD doesn't have any complications before delivering. I'm glad you had a good run today! Also glad to hear that Patty has decided that a taper is a *good* thing. I don't think the two (Lyme possibility and swollen glands) are related only because I *know* where the point of infection was;).

I think that's it for me for now. I'll be back tomorrow morning after my workout (probably a circuit of some sort). Have a great night ladies!

Just getting back in from the pumpkin patch. Short and sweet since it's almost 8 and I haven't eaten yet.

Great Job Jackie you did fablous

Linda- I'm so glad to hear she is doing better. I hope they can wait for both her and the baby's sake.

Wendi- Those square boxed look a like. I was making the chile again last night and put the chicken broth box and the rice milk box side by side. Man it looked horrible. The kids started laughing. I guess I need to seperate the two boxes from now on.

hi

Evenin’ Cheetahs..

Whew! What a game Friday night…may I boast about DS a minute? The lil’ bugger played his hiney off last night - scored two of the five touchdowns; one with a 76 yard jukin’ run and the other in a tight fit for the endzone. He also caught numerous passes to put the team in nice 1st down situations (seetchu-aaashun)..lol. On one of those passes, he jumped up to catch the ball and got nailed in the thigh to where it made him literally body flip in mid air and come down. The entire crowd said, “ohhhhhhh” and my DH said, “oh sh>>T” and I said “so what, he’s got the ball!!!”…ok, ok, I know, so everyone looked at me like I’m the worst parent on earth but hey, I knew the kid was ok and he had the ball for a the 1st down!!..lmao! I made it up though by making him scrambled eggs, sausage, toast and milk after the game and hooked him up with an ice pack for the leg and a dose of ibuprofen all at 11pm! He also got the “Pizza Factory Player of the Game” last night for a free pizza…boy was he happy with himself …lol…

Was up and going this morning with my busy day – cut the run to 4.2 miles and took it really easy…got our shopping done…DD’s car is going to cost me a fortune this month…ugh...front brake service and new tires…but you know, I am so thankful DH and I still have our jobs and are able to pay for all the extra expenses that have come our way lately.

Gosh, after seeing what ya’ll are posting re: costs of MT’s, I feel pretty fortunate to have found mine. She gives me a discount (only $45 a session) because she participates in a program that is affiliated with my healthcare insurance AND she gives the best massage I’ve ever had! Not to mention, she’s a very nice person. I firmly believe my frequent appts with her, the foam roller, and stretching have kept me injury free so far…(knocks on wood)

Wendi – Holy shhmoley! Hope you’re able to get in to the MD on Monday! LOL’d at the term bosshole…lol.. What? mean to the new girl? Cuz she covered the barn door handle with horse poo? lol… Hope things can settle down for ya!

Judy – I’d love to have your meatless lasagna recipe if you’re able to post it…How exciting to go to Chicago for the tournament. Best of luck to you DS and his team!!
