Cheetahs Sat June 30th

Amy: Oh my dear girl...if you want a super intense, super tough, extremely challenging but OH SO EFFECTIVE work out program that comes all laid out and all you have to do is "BRING IT" then check out P90X! It's main focus is weight training. It's a 90 day body makeover!!! I tweaked the rotation when I did it by personal choice but Tony gives you three different rotations to choose from and they are all laid out from day 1 to 90 quite clearly. It is an awesome program!!! :)

Cathy: Wow, you are talkative today, huh? LOL
You said you were petrified of the possiblity of falling on your face when you first left your job to become a student teacher. I can totally understand that. I am scared to death of failing as a PT even if I pass the cert w/flying colors!!!! I know I work out daily and have done so for years w/great success and that all fine and dandy but totally different from what I am looking to do for a living. Following another person's work out is a whole different ball game IMO then creating an effective program for someone else. I also have to help them execute it knowing they are paying BIG BUCKS for this so if I can't keep them motivated and get them the results they seek then will walk and so will my paycheck. You would think I'll be relieved when I get my cert results if I pass but I will only get even MORE nervous at that point. OY! I am in for it...LOL
Online dating can be hard. My friend went that route as well. She talked to, or met and even briefly dated quite a few people that she came in contact with through an online service but there were no successes. It was worth a shot though and I don't think she regrets trying it. She has often times has a tough schedule to fit a social life into and when it comes down to it, attempting to date gets the ol' heave-ho when it's up against other things like hanging out with her friends, etc.
What is Ratatouille rated? Maybe DH, DS and I can go see it. It's a cartoon so he'd probably sit through it. Is it appropriate to bring a kid to??

Hello ladies,

I was able to finish the race congested and all. I stopped twice because i just couldn't breathe:( . The official race results were 1 hr and 6 mins. I wanted to quit a few times but i kept on movin':7 . I told my running buddy to just go ahead and run her race, not to worry about me. So i bought my ipod along because as i expected she took off running and i never caught her. She finished in a hr and 4 min. I am happy i did it and finished however i think i will attempt another 10k (hopefully not sick) to see how i do and then decide on a half or not.
As each mile came and gone I would go from feeling worn out to feeling strong. At mile 6, survivor from destiny's child came on and helped me to reach the end!

thanks for all of the well wishes:D

cathy- what squeeze mish mosh did you put together? sounds fun!

wendy- not to intrude, but you my dear are NO looser. are you going to join me and jess in aug. for p90x??!!

jess- sounds like a good idea! let me know what you decide.

Sunny :: CONGRATS on an awesome finish despite being sick!! WTG! ETA: I don't have a standard mishmosh - I just do anywhere between 20-40 minutes of whatever I feel like to get a good burn.

Wendy :: yeah, I am bit talkative today. *lol*...I should get my butt moving...I *WILL* get my butt moving...I completely understand the fear of a new venture, but I do truly believe that you will be GREAT at training. You obviously have the knowledge to achieve results for yourself, and you do a helluva job motivating others around here, so I can easily see you enjoying much success!...Yeah, I had some good laughs with the online dating thing. My favorite was the 41-year-old man who said he was passionate about his granddaughter and lying on the couch...I agree about the busy schedule thing - I am often juggling so many other things that I don't even notice the absence of a love life sometimes...Not sure about the Ratatouille rating but it was definitely appropriate for kids. There were a lot of families with little ones at the theater.

OK, time to get off my duff and go and get buff. I think I'll do Squeeze first and a run after...

Cathy :)

"I always loved running...You could go in any direction, fast or slow as you wanted, fighting the wind if you felt like it, seeking out new sights just on the strength of your feet and the courage of your lungs."
-Jesse Owens

Cathy...actually Joan Van Ark was in "Knott's Landing" and not Dallas...:)

I did Amy's Xtreme Kickbox again today...wow....sweated buckets...I will go back and catch up...

A few more personals

Amy...a rule of thumb that I follow to increase your running distance is not to exceed 10-15% of your weekly miles each week. So for ex if you ran 20 miles total one week don't increase more than 2 to 3 miles the next week, so the total would be 22-23 weekly miles. Remember that when you add in days of running.

Shelly...yep, I have yelled at that TV when Cathe is on too...No, I have not done the Who's Who yet but I plan too. Very fun idea.

Cathy...Target does still carry Gillian O'Malley but not the particular style I loved. So, no likey Circuit max? That was a nice personal getting to know you...I know this may sound weird but when I decided (after dating a few losers) I'd never get married, that's when my DH stepped into my life again, as we knew each other in High School but never dated, so ya just never know...:)

Sunny...way to go running and not feeling good!!!

Wendy...we will have a Kohl's soon! I thinking fighting thru texts would be fun...but my DH is a bit text illiterate...:)..I know you will pass your PT exam...and be one helluva good PT!!!

Jackie...good job on the 8 miles!! Hey, great pics!!! Thank for sharing, it is nice to see all the cheetahs...

G'evening Cheetahs! Well, Allison had a great *pretend* bday party. She got a... STUFFED CHEETAH!! :) Hannah & Kiersten both have stuffed cheetahs that they love so my MIL found her her *own* Cheetah. It's super soft & she just loves it! I had to chuckle thinking of my Cheetahs here! ;-) And a puzzle, a book, and a couple new outfits from my MIL. We had a nice relaxing day. I hit Kohl's this morning & got some awesome deals. If you need any exercise wear, they have some great prices! I got 2 running tanks and a running skirt. (it was all 60% off!) And I got 2 tankinis, I spent a good hour & a half trying on swim suits. UGH! And a few other things, yep I spent too much money!

Greg grilled out steaks & chicken for dinner, yum! I made twice baked potatoes (but didn't eat them!), and other fixin's.

Here's a pic of Allison & I in the backyard tonight. She's just getting so grown up!

Everyone was chatty today! I don't know if I can catch up!

Sunny ~ Great job on the race!! I think you did great just getting out there not feeling well!!! Sorry your friend didn't stick w/ ya, that can be a bummer. I hope you're feeling better tonight!!!

Cathy ~ Great reading your story about getting into teaching. It definitely sounds like you've found your *niche*! Teachers make such a huge impact on kids, I still remember all of my teachers! Thankfully so far my dd's have had awesome teachers. I hope it stays that way. I'll definitely take the girls to see Ratatouille sometime this week, thanks for the review! They really want to see it.

Jackie ~ Great pics!! I could hardly see you (and other pics to share?), but your dd is beautiful! Looks like a great race! Great workouts as always! And thanks for peeking at our pics!

Wendy ~ You were a chatty one too! I love the barely there thongs too, yep get mine at Kohl's too. Very comfy! You'll do great as a PT, I know you will! I have the same fears as I think about becoming a PT eventually. Good luck if you do the 5 miler!! It's funny that once you do a race you get bitten by the race bug! LOL

Carole ~ No Kohl's?? I don't know what I'd do! You can order online. }( http://www.kohls.com

Laurie ~ Sounds like you're keeping busy. Glad you enjoyed the visit w/ your friend, sounds wonderful!

Laura ~ Glad that shins let you get in a good run! Good luck w/ the house, sounds like it'll be your dream home!

Amy ~ Thanks for looking at the pics! What do you teach? It looks like you got your answer, but P90X is an awesome 90 day workout plan. I'm on day 78 of it now and am VERY pleased w/ my results so far. It's heavy weight training w/ lots of pushups, pullups to really help you build muscle! My dh has been doing most of it w/ me, it's great to have him exercising!

Gayle ~ Read your Break Up post on the OD. Sorry to hear about it, but it sounds like you both know that it isn't going to work out. Best of luck to you!!! Oh, and great job w/ the CC PP workout this morning!

Marcia ~ Are you going to join us on the P90X rotation in August????

Shelly ~ You amaze me w/ your workouts, girl!! You are a bundle of energy! Loved the pics you posted, it looks like you ladies were having fun! Hope your adjustment back to work was a smooth one!

Christine ~ Where are you???? I hope everything is ok w/ you, check in when you can!

OK, I think that's all (sorry if I forgot someone, my brain is shutting down for the night!).

Have a great night, I'll check in tomorrow after church sometime!
:)
