::: CHEETAHS ::: Sat., 12/9

Well, started with the grocery shopping and quickly realized that walking around the store was very tough work. I managed to get it all home and put away, then spent the next two hours doing NapMax. Got up, took DD13 shopping for a CD unsuccessfully (she's trying out for the school musical come January and wants to sing a song from "Into the Woods" - so I needed to CD but it was not to be found). Sat down for a bit, then got my nails done. Got home to find out that we're off to that same fine establishment for dinner tonight - a friend of ours is introducing us to his new lady who he met on an Indian dating site (she's Anglo and anxious to get married)). I want to meet her to make sure she's not a wacko as he's a sweetheart. This time I will be VERY careful about the bottomless glasses of wine (as we will be sitting at a table and not the bar, that will help - those sneaky bartenders!).

Carole - I am so sorry to hear about your friend's father!! I think it will be devestating to lose both parents. I lost my mom and that's hard enough. She and you will be in my prayers.

Laurie - Ya know - I'm usually pretty good and can drink a glass or two and be fine, but last night that line was very blurry (as were all the other lines around me!). I guess my altrustic hangover comes under the heading, "No good deed goes unpunished" - eh? :+ Oh well, I deserve it today certainly.

Elaine - YOU ROCK!! But you know that! Great job on the run!

Cathy - I don't know - I'm vying with you for the title of Super Cheetah Sloth and I don't even have a good hair day to blame it on!

Wendy- can't wait to get the card! I love getting Christmas cards!

Enjoy everyone! And if I come back tomorrow complaining of a hangover, please shoot me!

Elaine, awesome job on your run, and the pace WOO HOO!!! You are some CHEETAH!!!:7 Forty seven eh? I never would have dreamed that the '40's would fly by so fast and I'm ONLY 44;-)

Carole, thanks, I'm sorry too:( I'm trying not to feel rejected and wounded but......I guess I could just pick up the phone but it doesn't feel like the right thing to do. I'm so sorry about your friend's sad, sad loss, I've said this before here so forgive me if I repeat myself but my Dad was well into his '50s when his Momma died, I'll never forget seeing my big strong Daddy crying over the sink saying 'I'm an orphan', it still wrenches my heart to think about it. It's so sweet that you and your Dad shared so many interests and had such fun together. I hope tomorrow is a happier day for you :)

Cathy, screw the lesson plans Girl, lets go out for some Corona and Tequila shots}( :+ You have no idea how bad I wish that could happen!!! I need to blow off some steam but it's too late for me to workout:p I don't know where Okemo is but from where we ski in Quebec you can see Jay Peaks. I'm not as aggressive as I used to be skiing, I'm always worried about falling and breaking my wrist or forearm, not good for a massage therapist.

Hope you all have a good Saturday night!:)

Take Care
Laurie

Hello Cheetahs!

G'evening Cheetahs! I'm late posting so no one will probably read my post but I'm just finally getting a chance to get back to the computer!!

We had a great day!!! (and I'm LOL'ing at Elaine calling us the Waltons!!) The tree farm was w/out power for a whole week after our storm last week & the trees were still icy but they did have some fresh cut ones so we picked out a Frasier Fur. It turned out to be the *perfect* tree, no bare spots & it looks awesome in the living room. The girls had a blast playing outside for a couple hrs & Greg got the icicle lights up on the house. We got the tree decorated & it just looks beautiful. Then I got to work wrapping presents- I spent a good hour & a half & got quite a bit done. Still more to do though!! And we had our Christmas Contata choir practice tonight, I'd forgotten about it! Our Contata is next weekend and we're doing the Hallelujah chorus so we needed some work on that!

The day flew by & I'm ready for bed! I was going to take a rest day tomorrow but I think I'll get up do to Muscle Max, I haven't done it in a while but I do love it. My hamstrings are finally feeling better today!!

OK, gonna head to bed soon so I'll be ready to get up in the morning! I'm singing in a ladies group, we're singing the Carol of the Bells accapella (it's so pretty!) & also playing What Child is This? on my flute. I might not have time to post much tomorrow so have a great Sunday!!
