:: CHEETAHS :: Monday

RunninTeach

Cathlete
Good morning, cheetahs! :)

Judy :: thanks for the link. The flats I have are comfortable, but when I am ready for a new pair, I'll check out both SW and CH. I looked at some of the CH's while on the Zappo's site--very, very cute!

Linda :: Galloway's cutback weeks were in the 8-10 range, so at Carole's suggestion, I bumped them up a little (11-12) and had it in mind yesterday to push for a few more. But when the migraine happened on Saturday, I knew that wasn't happening. I never feel 100% for a couple of days after. I've noticed Higdon's cutbacks are a little higher, but we will be OK with 10-13. The critical thing, I would think, is sticking with the long runs. Perhaps our experienced marathoners will weigh in. You did great running strong through 11. I bow down to you on that one!!! IA--it might possibly have been the most humid run ever. I was completely drenched. Crossed paths with a few other runners, and they looked to be suffering, too. Cracked up at your GS's comment at the movie.

Christine :: I saw on the Zappo's site that some CH's do not have the Air. That's one helluva tangle with a bear. The poor guy. I was reading a piece in a recent issue of RW, in which a man recounted a bear attack that occurred when he was out running with, I believe, his daughter. The bear basically "scalped" him. I shuddered just to read it. I think I would be petrified to run in an area where I might encounter a bear. The condo sounds awesome!!

This afternoon will be an u/b circuit using the EXT.

Have a great day, everyone!

Hiya Cheetahs!

Aloha Cheetahs!

MIA Posh cheetah checking in from beautiful sunny Maui! ;) (3 hours BEHIND west coast cheetah time and 6 hours BEHIND east coast cheetah time.)We arrived yesterday (Saturday) here at the Sheraton Black Rock Maui to find we were upgraded to a ocean front room for our anniversary AND a complimentary bottle of champagne! The beach is lovely and the pool has a meandering river and waterfall….nice. Weather is balmy tropical 80’s …Tomorrow we rent the beach cabana and it’s a lazy day reading, swimming, snorkeling etc…I will do a 5 -7 mile run on Tuesday probably….now on to the half marathon report…

Ok, so this half marathon started at 5:30 am Maui time so we ran in the dark a while. I was shooting for an even paced 2:30 half for Chicago training and almost made that if not for my 4 (YES FOUR!!) potty stops! grrr…I was having some menstrual cramping, etc issues, so I just let the stops be ok and did the best I could. I did finish in a 2:40 something but haven’t checked my chip time yet. I forgot to turn off my garmin at the finish so I don’t know  . I must say though, that this was a beautiful, friendly and fun half and I will do this one again if I come back to Maui. The locals and the volunteers here made is all the more better too! I had some pretty bad menstrual cramps toward the last few miles and started getting slow worthless runner thoughts so I started thinking about the cheetahs to get me through. I know this sounds cheesy, but I also played Christina Aquilera’s “Beautiful” song on my ipod the last stretch to rid myself of the negative slow runner thoughts and get over the finish line with a smile on my face. It all worked! Had a great run considering and I am thankful I’m able to even do it!

My apologies for lack of checking in and personals last week but I was just so flippin busy at work getting ready to be off a week, and everything else that I really had no time to browse and post…..I’ll try to read up in the next few days and get some things posted…Ya’ll are great and even if I can’t get on here, I’m always thinking bout me wonderful cheetah friends!

Well, it is now 11:30 p.m. Sunday in Maui, 2:30 a.m Monday in California, and 5:30 a.m. Monday on the East Coast, so I’m going to get this posted and get some sleep! I’ll check in with ya’ll later and maybe post a pic or two of marvelous Maui…..

Have a good one ya’ll!

POSH!

Good Morning Girls.

Rest day for me today. I'm overdue-should have taken it this weekend and I can tell...I really NEED it.

So I'm gonna try to get in my long run on Wednesday again this week. 15 miles. EEK! If Wednesday doesn't work then I have 2 more chances on Saturday and Sunday to get it done. I'd like to do TWO 15 milers before cutting back for the race so I am planning another 15 miler the following week as well. DOUBLE EEK!:eek: :D:D

I was looking at marathon training plans on line a bit last night going under the ASSUMPTION that I'll still want to do this after finishing the 18 mile race. ;) I like the looks of Hal Higdon's 1st novice plan so that's probably what I'll use. I think it's 18 weeks long so I'll have more then enough time to complete it.

Posh: Glad you are enjoying your vacation. Sounds lovely. Congrats on your half time. You did great! :)

Wendi and Shelly: When are you girls signing up for Phila?? I am probably going to do it!

Jackie: Oh my gosh, how awful about your alarm going off. I'd have been so pist! I hope you got a nap in. I'll bet you are happy that happened on a weekend though, ey? BF is doing remarkably well. She's a very strong woman. She has her moments but over all she's handling it like a champ. I'd be a blubbering idiot personally!

Dallas: So did you blow off your rest day y'day? ;)

Carole: Nice 14 miler. How was football y'day? Enjoy your day off today! :)

Cathy: Sounds like you had a yummy dinner as well this weekend. Good for us! We deserve it! :D Advil before a long run? I"ll have to try that before my 15 miler! Thanks for the idea!!! The shoes you posted are sharp lookin'. Love 'em! I have very little call for wearing anything but sneakers and flip-flops so my shoe collection is beyond pathetic. LOL Yeah, I had a nice cool breeze for most of my run yesterday. It was sticky but the breeze helped to off-set that. When we headed out for SIL's house we almost died. It was super sticky and there was NO breeze. Weather you would NOT catch me running in. It's supposed to get nice again after today so I should be good to go for my 15 mile attempt on Wednesday. :)

Linda: LMBO at the story about your 3 year old GDS! Too funny! Kids say some of the darndest things. I could totally see my son saying something like that! He's such the little comedian already! :D

Christine: Glad you and DH are thrilled with your condo. The article you posted is nuts. I can't believe that even happened! The guy is lucky. He probably startled the you know what out of the bear causing him to take off instead of attacking the guy. Had the guy just come across him w/o hitting him perhaps the story would not have such a happy ending....

All caught up. Gotta go get the little guy outta bed now. BBL!

Good morning Cheetahville!

Aaaaaaahhhhhh, sooooooo nice to be able to sip my java and catch up on the den's news. I was really missing this time in the mornings. I will catch up with personals from yesterday after my workout, PROMISE, cross my heart:eek:.

Cathy - I can't believe you and Wendy ran in that soup yesterday:eek:....holy shmoly!!!!! You're a better runner than I, by far! I will admit that I was a bit worried about ya and even said so to my DSO on Sat night cuz I thought you had a looooooong one (20+) scheduled. I was relieved that that wasn't the case. Sorry to hear that you've been really plagued by the migraines lately...have you had them checked out recently?

Posh - Wow, fantastic job on your half!!! Sounds absolutely gorgeous there. Enjoy every minute of it!!!!!

Wendy - Wow, WTG on your soupy run yesterday...blech! Glad you got to spend some quality time with your BF the other day....I'm sure it's just what she needed. Enjoy your well-deserved rest day today! I think Shellers is already signed up...I'll have time to do it today. I can't wait to run with you ladies!

So yesterday's Imax 2+3 combos only turned into Imax 2 step only combos, Imax 3 step only combos 1-5, Imax 3 combos AND blasts 6-10....ahhhhhhh, SO much fun:D! I felt so good yesterday that I actually left the step height at 8" for the entire workout...thank goodness there seems to be no adverse effects this morning lol.

Had a run on tap for today but will move that to tomorrow to let the humidity break so I'm gonna go bang out Viper here in a second. Be back afterward with yesterday's personals. Have a great day ladies!

Good Morning Cheetahs!

Cathy – Enjoy your UB circuit with the EXT! That guy was lucky that the bear did not fight. I’m sure the bear thought he was some kind of super-predator to knock the poor thing off of its feet! Amazing. We have bears and mountain lions in our mountains here, but the bears are few and far between – more in the Sierras. There was a story the other day about cyclist riding in LA – not mountain biking, just road riding, but at dusk, the idiot – and a mountain lion came charging down a steep hill and tried to attack him, fortunately for the cyclist, he was going down hill and managed to out run the cat. I’ll bet his legs never spun faster!

Thomasina – Amazing job at doing so well on your half with cramps! OUCH!!!! WAY TO GO GIRL!!!! Enjoy your beach cabana and lazy day! That sounds wonderful! I love Maui!

Wendy – enjoy your much needed rest day! I’m sure you’ll do fabulous on your 15 mile run. I still chuckle remembering when 2 miles was long for you. Good job there, girlfriend! I think most bears want to avoid confrontation – most of the stories you hear are from momma bears protecting cubs. By as I told Cathy, I’m sure that bear was very afraid – how many things can knock a bear a$$ over teakettle?

Wendi – Glad to have you back! Glad you totally enjoyed your Blast Heaven yesterday! Enjoy Viper!!

Another day, another dollar… :p I woke up at 4AM thinking, “I’m wide awake!” I still managed to snooze until the alarm went off. I’m yawning, but I think I’ll be fine. My rotation this week is mainly circuits with yoga tossed in between. Today is LIC, but I’ll ride the bike during the step circuits. Enjoy your Mondays everyone.

Good morning cheetahs

Cathy...It is amazing how comfy the headlamp is. We only wore it for the 1st mile. My DH like to use it for duck hunting, so I might have to get him one before he looses mine. Enjoy your ub circuit with the EXT.

Posh...great job pushing through the half with cramps! I am lucky to not have terrible cramps and have never had problems during any races. I would love to go to Maui one year and do that half. Sounds like you are having a blast there. Cannot wait for pics!!

Wendy...enjoy a nice rest day. I think 18 weeks is great for marathon training. I did not watch a lot of FB yesterday. We had a work party at my Moms, so I was down there for a couple of hours. I plan on watching the game tonight. Thanks, I do love mondays...:D

Wendi..good job with the Imax mish mosh on an 8 inch step yesterday!! Have fun with the Viper.

Christine...well, I think Fall is coming but it was hot yesterday (102). Hopefully cooler temps this week. I watched some of the Packer game early but then headed to my Moms for some cleaning with my sisters. I watched the end of the SD/Denver game when I got home, a crappy call let the Broncos win...:(. I will be watching tonight. WOW, what a story about the guy in the bike and the bear!! I don't think Black bears are nearly as aggressive as Grizzly's. Have fun with LIC today.

Linda...One thing I always thought of as important for marathon training was getting in the 3 long (20-22) runs sometimes during the training if you can. The only time I cut back my long runs to 10-12 was during the 3 weeks prior to the event. I kept my long runs to 14-18 during the training except of course for the 20 milers. Also keep in mind I was usually training for a certain pace. I am sure trying to get my mileage up as I have missed distance running and hope to do another marathon at some point in my future. Headlamps are cool!...:)..Way to go running in that high humidity. I know we have some days that are a bit humid and running is tough, but you guys have some way nastier humidity than we do.

We got a lot of work done at my Mom' house yesterday. I was a bit worn out from getting up early and the 14 miles. Then I had this allergy sneezing attack! So that was not fun at all, and I sneezed off and on for a few hours. No wonder I slept like a rock last night! My sister had gotten some frozen Veggie Lasanga for lunch and then I look at the nutrition info...WOW, after seeing 1000+ mgs for sodium and 13 grams of fat for a one cup serving I for sure passed!

Today is 4DS Sho, bi's & tri's, abs and a 5 mile run. I also have a massage this afternoon!!

Have a great day...:)

Howdy chicas!

Viper and C&W abs is in the bag. Feelin' mighty good as I munch on a my breakfast now:D.

Christine - Okay, I've got to check out that bear story when I get a chance! Although, that mountain lion chase is just downright scary!!!! Great plan for LIC today....enjoy! Funny, I had almost the same experience with my local Roto Rooter a couple of years ago and ended up with a wonderful local company...hate those big franchises.

Carole - Too funny about DH stealing your headlamp:). I think that would make a fabulous Christmas or birthday gift;). You've been really logging some great runs lately....WTG! So glad to hear that a marathon may be in your future again:D. Yeowzas on that Veggie Lasagna...yikes!!! That's why I always tell people read the labels cuz you never know what's in most of that stuff. Sorry about the sneezing attack yesterday:(. Funny (sort of) story.... a good friend of mine had a sneezing fit while stopped at an intersection, her foot slid off the brake, hit the gas and she ran into the back of a school bus. No damage to the bus (obviously) but her caravan was totalled.

Gloria - That advanced studies class sounds a lot like what I was enrolled in when I was in high school. Sounds like it should be fun...enjoy your mock election.

Judy - LOL about the major smelly laundry from the boys...did it get up and jump into the wash on it's own:p? Bunion stretches, huh? Interesting.

Karen - Ugh, the heat and humidity have been wicked the past few days! I hope it finally broke for you today. Continued {{{{HUGS}}}} and prayers being sent your way.

Jackie - Sorry about your alarm issues:(...no fun! I was wondering how you faired with the remnants of Ike heading up your way. BTW, and I'm sure I've just missed it, how'd the open house go? I'm sure everyone was wow'ed by your exquisite taste!

Dallas - I was just thinking about your MIL and DH the other day... I hope everyone is doing well. {{{HUGS}}}.

Linda - WOW, girl, what a run in that heat yesterday!!!! Good for you for listening to what your body was telling you and taking a rest. OMG, too cute about your GS!

Hi to our MIA, but much loved, Cheetahs Lorie and Shelly!

Okay, gotta get motoring if I want to be on time for lunch with DSO. Then it's straight to get my hair done...in desperate need of color (can we say Carrot Top???). Then maybe some errands if I have time afterward. See ya gals later tonight. Have a great day!

Good Monday morning Cheetahs!

Dallas - Is it still raining there? It's clear here.

Wendi - Hope the computer problems are all fixed. You're missed in the den too. No AC? Oh my! Hope the workout was still good. The Open House went well. Had around 50 people in and out and still had lots of food left over. Ended up sending some with people. Froze the cake because it was so goooood! Ate the fruit and veggies. Everything that I didn't open is still in the pantry. It will come in handy for another occasion. Got some really nice gifts too. Yes, everyone loved the house too. One lady told me the reason people weren't eating was because they didn't want to spill anything. Thought that was funny. Enjoy getting the carrot top taken care of. :D

Carole - Will be checking with the alarm company today to see if they can figure out a remedy to my problem. Good job on the 14 miles. Bet that shower felt good. Glad you got a lot accomplished at your mom's. Don't blame you for passing on the lasagna. That's a lot of sodium for one meal.

Cathy - I had a callous on my foot during a massage and I asked the tech to be careful around that area. It was so sore. Did take away some from a good massage. I've seen people use udder cream. Never gave it a try myself. How's the new baby? Enjoy your UB circuit and EXT.

Linda - That's nice of your friend to not leave you behind during your runs. Good job on your 11 miles! Lot of people cut down on the mileage this weekend because of humidity. That makes it rough. Glad you're feeling strong. How cute about GS! I don't like people talking during my movies either. :D

Christine - I'm so happy I have an escape route from my bedroom if I have intruders. Been going through my head what I would do. I can see the kitchen door from my bedroom. DOMS better today? The new condo sounds great. When is the first trip planned? What a scary story about the bear. Bet the bike rider scared the bear as much as the bear scared him.

Posh - Enjoy Hawaii! Fun! Fun!! Great to be upgraded! Happy Anniversary! Great job on the half! Glad you just enjoyed it! Sorry for the cramps! Love Beautiful!

Wendy - Enjoy your rest day! Good luck with the 15 milers! Plans sound good. I was a little miffed about the alarm but glad I was at home to know that it happened. Good to hear BF is doing well considering what she's been through.

Today's workout was a 3.6 mile run. Used iTread #4 & #16 - both 20 minutes long. Then, I did the weight, ab and stretch sections from Cardio & Weights.

Gotta get to work now. Enjoy your day!

Christine – The condo sounds wonderful! I had actually heard about that bear/biker on the news! That is scary! That is where we were on the last couple of days of our vacation and I ran there! Wow! He is so lucky the bear didn’t think of it as the man/bike attacking him and fight back!!

Cathy – Whew. Okay…that is good. I will do it that way with the cutbacks, too. That is what I was thinking…but I always doubt myself. You did great running through the humidity, too! It is amazing, really, that we did it, considering the humidity and heat! Ya know….I just do not get it….my friend was nowhere near as sweaty as me! She actually looks at me like I am weird because I get so sweaty! She doesn’t need near the fluid that I need and she NEVER gets cramps! What is the deal?! I wonder if I am not in good condition or is something wrong with me?

Posh – Congratulations on your half! It sounds like a beautiful place to have it! That is not cheesy at all to think of the Cheetahs to help you through it! I know when I do my race in Nov. I will definitely think of all of you guys as motivation! Great job!!

Wendy – It is funny….a lot of times when you are talking about Joey, I can really relate because he sounds so much like Chase! I think they are around the same age. Chase will be 4 in December. I like Hal Higdon’s Novice Training schedule, too. I guess I am kind of combining his, Jeff Galloway’s and John Bingham’s. That is good that you will have a few chances to get in your 15 miler this week. When I know I “have” to get it done on a certain day I feel pressure ;)

Wendi – I am glad you are getting to finally sit down and relax for a bit with your coffee and Cheetah fix! Great job on your Imax’s combos! Sounds like a wonderful calorie and stress buster workout! Enjoy Viper! Hope your humidity breaks soon! I think ours is much better today!!

Carole – Thanks so much for the information! I will try to add a couple more miles to our cut back weeks. I can sure understand how you would be tired after running and then cleaning your mom’s house! I bought some lasagna from Schwan’s last week when the truck came to our office. It is just unbelievable how much sodium and fat is in there! Wow! But it is so yummy :0 Enjoy your run, 4DS and massage!

Jackie – Good job on your run, abs and wt section of C&W! When you do the weight section of that one, do you do just the upper body weights…..or all of them? I have been thinking of using the upper body premix for one of my upper body days. LOL…you and Chase would get along just great in the movie theater :)

Today is my day off from running!

Happy Monday!

Linda

Hmmm....I just received my new One on One with Tony and it is an abs workout. I haven't got to preview, though....I had it delivered to work and I am at the office now. I am kind of disappointed, though! I was hoping for a weight workout of some sort. Oh well....we will see! :)

Here's something we all need after the news on Wall Street:

funny-pictures-hedgehog-has-a-coin.jpg

Oh, I did LIC and rode my bike during the step. First combo I did 1 minute on, 30 seconds off using different gearing. Second combo I did a build set - started in a low gear and went up one gear every minute until done. Third combo was speed work - 20 seconds on, 10 seconds off - every other rep standing. Fun times. Interesting weight work. Really just what the doc ordered today. My only beef with Cathe is the endless bicep and tricep work. *shrugs* Oh well...

I'll be back later for personals...

Carole – I had a headlamp for Search but I got it when I climbed Mt. Whitney as we had to leave at 2:30AM to make it to the top before noon. They are comfortable, actually. For search I had to have it over a hard hat. It’s pretty cool today, here, how is it for you? This week is supposed to be 15 degrees BELOW average. YEAH!!!! No, black bears are usually pretty calm unless it’s a mom with cubs or the bear is startled. That bear must have been REALLY startled! Holy cow on the veggie lasagna!! Man! Enjoy the massage!

Wendi – Yeah, will never call Roto-rooter again! *pppbbbbtttt* As my DD15 would say. Have fun with DSO today!!!

Jackie - Yes, the escape route is a good thing! I have my furry intruder deterrent – although he’d bark and hide under the bench – but he makes me feel safer. The first trip to the new condo is in two weeks. We’ll be there on the 25th and 26th! I’m excited.

Linda – I seriously think the bear was so startled that his only thought was to get away – after all, how many animals have the strength and speed required to knock over a bear! Enjoy your rest day! And the condo is wonderful! Can’t wait to use it! Sorry One-on-one is a disappointment. I may be willing to take that one off your hands!

Well, Darn! Not sure if I should be doing a happy dance or what, but I went to “Mapmyride.com” (same thing as mapmyrun) and saw that the Tour for Woodside’s 55 mile route had been plotted. I checked it out – it’s NOT 4600 feet of climbing! It’s more like 2600 feet. So, Sunday’s ride will actually be EASIER than my ride last weekend, even though it will be longer. Well, at least I’m no longer afraid. :D

Christine - That is good that your ride is going to be a little nicer to you that you first thought!! That sounds great!I haven't previewed the workout yet (Tony's). It may be good....but if it is an hour long abs workout....I don't think I will get much use out of it :( I will definitely let you take it off my hands, if that is the case! :) They sent me a Chalene Extreme workout, too! I still am at work...so haven't got to watch it, but at VF they said it is a 34 minute circuit workout! I am excited to see what it is like!!!

Linda - Oh that is cool! I hope you enjoy the Charlene Extreme one (and the abs one as well!). Don't you hate when work gets in the way of new video viewing?!

Okay, so I went and checked out Charlie's website...very cool, and very insane:eek:. I can't even wrap my head around being able to run 70 miles per day, every day, for 6 weeks :eek::eek:!

Jackie - Looks like we were doing C&W abs together this morning:p. Great workout you put together this morning. Sounds like a smashing success for ya! Mmmmmmmm, cake, drooooool. LOL about people not wanting to spill anything.

Linda - Look at it this way, at least if you get your videos sent to work they don't become dog chow, right:p? I hope you enjoy your previewing tonight. Yup, Viper was just the ticket this morning:D.

Christine - OMG, that pic is too, too cute!!! IA about Cathe and tricep work...but maybe that's because I despise tricep work:confused:. Ooooooh, enjooy those beoootiful fall temps out there! See, there's nothing to be worried about now for that ride! Lunch was yummy, (and relatively clean)....grilled chicken paillard with a touch of pesto, topped with a mountain of greens, tomatoes, red onion, shaved pecorino (only ate about 1/4 of it) and the yummiest balsamic vinaigrette ever (on the side, of course;)).

I was soooooo looking forward to a nice little run tomorrow but I don't think I can squeeze it in. I'm by myself at work tomorrow and should really be there by 7 if I want to have any shot at getting everything done that's on the agenda. Probably won't be home until 7pm so I think after work is out as well. Oh well:(...I'll just have to look forward to getting out there on Wed.

Gonna go peruse the forums for a bit, toss some laundry in and call it an early evening. Nightie night!

Just checking in. Today was not a good day. My mom went and got the second opinion on the spot on the pancreas and they want a biopsy. Not good but it's what I thought would happen. They were very middle of the road when talking so it makes me worried that they know it's cancer but won't say. So mom will have a biopsy within two weeks of today and then if it is cancer will begin chemo again to shrink the spot. In my heart I knew this already. I'm being positive that if it is cancer she will beat it agian. I took dad to the store this evening and tomorrow will make my mom and him some organic healthy dinners that dad can pull out and mircowave for both of them. Cried a lot today with my sisters and my mom so I'm now going to go into focus on remission mode. Mom was talking about her funeral and I jsut don't want her to get depressed and think like that. She can beat this. If it were not for those kidney stones we would have never have seen the bone cancer or whatever is on the pancreas. So devine intervention would not be for nothing here. So that is where I have been today. I'm not going to go there and think the worst. Did that today and now I'm going to keep positive. Dh and I talked aobut how we would tell the kids ( Only if we have too) because they will see my mom lose her hair if she needs chemo. Last time they were small and never really cared. My oldest is 11 and then 9 so they know somthing is up but we keep telling them mom mom is having kidney stone issues which is true. So I know you will all pray for my mom that this is somthing other than cancer and if it is cancer that we can beat it. Karen

Today was a 3 mile run with PUB and abs. Running is really a stress reliver and so is my race. I put off registering for so long and something made me do it that one day. Now that I have the goal it keeps my mind on other things. The half sold out and so did the team relay and full already. I have somthing to look forward to. It is good for my inner peace.

Cathy: You scored some nice shoes! Hope your workout was a good one. :)

Posh: I have always wanted to go to Hawaii. PLEASE post some pics for us! :)

Wendy: Good luck on the 15 this week! Hope the rest day was relaxing for you!

Wendi: I am excited for advanced studies. I did not plan for it this weekend like I thought I would. I graded a lot of papers. I will be ready though when it is time for class. Great workouts!

Christine: The Napa condo sounds heavenly! You will so enjoy your time there I am sure!

Carole: I would imagine all that activity would be tiring. You do have to watch out for the frozen foods. For me, even though I work out, salt just bloats me up like nothing else. I love it too. Dang it! Nice to get some things done at moms yesterday and manage getting in a workout today.

Jackie: How many GKs do you have? I was up early yesterday, but did sneak in a 2 hour nap. I like the abs from CW. Haven't done that in a LONG time.

Linda: Hope you enjoyed your day off of running. :)

Karen: I don't know what to say...your family has been through so much. We all are here for you. (((HUGS))). Running is the reason I don't have to pay for therapy.

Sorry for the abriged personals. Had to catch up with some parent email and the such. Ran four miles instead of blasting yesterday and took today off due to a cold I have caught. Hopefully I can get rid of it quickly. Good night everyone!

Hi Cheetahs!

Linda - I did all the weights from C&W this morning. I usually do the workout as is. But, since I'm running more I had to change things up. Hope you enjoyed your day off from running. Think I'd want something more than an ab workout from Tony too. Hope you like it anyway. Can't wait to hear about the Chalene Extreme workout. Didn't think they were releasing any of those yet.

Christine - Things are getting scarier and scarier with Wall Street. Like the pic. Great mixing up your bike and LIC! Laughing at your comment about Jimmy barking and hiding under the bed. :D New condo will be fun. Something to look forward to. Glad your ride will be easier than you thought.

Wendi - Great story! Makes a lot of sense too! I can't even imagine running a marathon. Definitely can't get my mind around 70 miles. Sorry you won't be able to get your run in tomorrow. You can make it up on Wednesday.

Karen - Sorry for the news on your mom. ((((HUGS)))) I will continue to be prayerful that it's not cancer. Glad the running was an outlet for you today.

Went to Sam's this morning for gas and they were closed. Attendant said they were out of gas but should have some later in the day. Went back after work and was able to get some for $4.19 a gallon. They were running out fast.

Sleep well tonight ladies!

Hi Gloria - We were posting at the same time. I have two GK - girl and boy. Good job on the 4 miles! Ugh on the cold! Hope you knock it out quickly.
