::: CHEETAHS ::: Monday

Kath :: I vary my routes now that I'm running longer distances, but I do have a favorite out-and-back course if it's a 6-mile-or-less run...I hope the biopsy is clean for your BF. She has been through too much already. Keep us posted. *lol* about your washer love.

Christine :: How's Boston?

Shelly :: hope the orientation and testing weren't too boring. Oh yeah, those automatic updates have the worst timing.

Judy :: I am a longtime wearer of Superfeet as well. The heel lift is for a leg length discrepancy. I may have to make an adjustment to it. Not sure what I think yet. Great hilly run.

WT :: Yeah, we have to pack up everything as well. So far so good...Did you have any luck speaking with your advisor today?

Carole :: I guess I am showing my ignorance by not knowing fish and seafood were on the verboten list. DUH! *lol* ITA with you on the complaining...Who'da thunk golf could be exciting? *lol* My kids wanted to watch it today after grad practice.

Dallas :: glad the Z-pack and Zyrtec have kicked in for ya. Guess I just had a persistent strain!...So much for a soccer break--sorry!...Smiling at the visual of your DS up to his ears in socks. Too cute...I didn't see Luke Russert--probably was on while I was at work.

Jackie :: glad to hear KenpoX+ piqued DBF's interest. Hope your Monday was a good one.

Carole- I was watching the golf and hoping for Rocco. The underdog usually gets my alliance in these events! Rocco was just so humble and happy to be there. He appeared to enjoy every the whole experience. It is quite amazing that they tied after 18 holes today and then a bad second shot on the first sudden death hole ended it. When it was over, I mentally compared Rocco to David Archeletta :) Coming in second with grace and humbleness.

Dallas- Thanks for the vote of confidence. The iTreads and HIIT's are probably helping. I'll bet you are glad to have some medicine to get rid of your cruddy germs! The visual of DS5 in his shorts and socks warms my heart!

Jackie- I have to think NROL4W and HIIT is helping. I was just concerned that I let my total miles drop off too much . But you know what? I feel better this way instead of chronically sore! So now I am believing quality miles are as important as quantity miles.

Wendy- amazing workout!!!! And yes you are welcome her anytime along with any Cheetahs!

Afternoon Girls :)

I did 4miles this morning. had to go a bit later because DD's test started at 8am. No biggie :) I clocked in a time of 35:02.

Judy: Wow a family of swimmers. Is DD still swimming? Excellent run this morning :) I know I've said this before but I'm impressed with how you have stuck with the NROLFW. You go girl :)

Lorie: Have to agree with you--attitude means allot. I just deal with things-- it is what it is :) How lucky that your partner works out with you. BTW I am not a teacher. Think you may have me confused with Gloria :) I'm a SAHM but was a nurse.

Carole: Thank you for the hugs :) Like I mentioned to Lorie--it is what it is. I know in my heart I would love to have them accept me--but I am not responsible for their thinking. It is their loss not to know me :) Enjoy your recovery week. My weeds are growing like crazy :)I too watched golf today. I wanted Rocco to win as well. How cute was Tiger's daughter though ?

Dallas: So glad you made it into the clinic. I am adopted. I hope your meeting your bio family was a nice wild ride :) I have a bio-brother who has a daughter born on my birthday. Also bio-sister who is 11months younger than I , has a son born on the same day as my daughter and she has a daughter with the same name as my own. Kinda spooky huh? :)

Jackie: Thank you so much for the prayers for BF. Her biopsy came back negative-- she is still in the hospital recovery from thyroid surgery. Poor girl. Her mom is a godsend.

Cathy: what are superfeet? How many more days till summer vacation starts?

Shelly: Hope your firts day was a good one :)

Ok thats it for now :)
I have some laundry to do--no just kidding :7

Howdy cheetahs! Back after a tedious day of orientation. At least I'm earning money again. I think I'm most proud though of successfully navigating my way around downtown Philly! :p :p :p
In a bit here I'll do LIC upperbody circuit... it'll feel good after a day of sitting in a classroom and at the computer.

Wendi- Very glad to hear that you are taking a well deserved rest day! Enjoy!!

Cathy- Okay doll.... I'm waving at ya!! I need to download a smiley program to get some cool graphics. I havent seen a Dave and Busters on my explorations and I have to admit I don't know what it is!

Kath- How sad for your BF... I bet she appreciates your support. You seem to be a "rock" for alot of people.

Judy- Well, I wouldn't exactly call this my first day back to nursing since all I did was sit in a classroom and take tests... but at least I was earning money! Great hill run today!! I knew you still had it in ya.

Lorie- I imagine it wont be long before I start recognizing the regulars at the fitness room! Have a good time with Alwyn today?

WendyWendyWendy!!! Now you KNOW that scale this morning wasn't really showing pounds actually gained from ONE meal!! It's just fluid shifts... you got a uberfit bod there girl! With all the workouts you have you still go searching on line for even more killer workouts!!!!

Carole- I didn't know you did Pilates. I tried it once and didn't care for it at all. They actually have a pilates machine in the fitness room here. Also a primo squat rack!!!

Dallas- So good to hear that the meds are doing the trick for your sinus infection and that you are back with the living again!

Jackie- How nice that you've got DBF interested in p90x! Wish I knew the magic words to spark my DH.

I guess that about catches me up.

Cathy: Great job on the run in humid weather. Your situation is one I do not have to deal with. What do you mean by helicopter parents? I had my game face on this morning and everything went as planned! :)

Wendi: Good to take the rest days, but this is coming from one of the lazier Cheetahs! LOL! Hope you got a lot done!

Kath: I am sorry to hear about your BF. That must be so traumatizing for her. Sometimes I think that I do not know what I would do without my DH. DH and I had a talk this weekend about life and how nothing is important enough to complain about for us right now.

Christine: Happy travels. I miss going to the airport! I have to say that Minneapolis has the best airport I have been to. You are on business in Boston if I am correct? I would like to go there someday. YEAH on the new bike. I am sure you will put the miles on that baby!

Shelly: Does it feel good to go back to work? I know today I had a good feeling and was excited after my week off. I knew you would be the queen of the fitness center. What else can we expect from our hard core cheetah! Hope you had a great day! I have not lost a post yet, but I am sure it is a matter of time since my Internet will boot me off from time to time!

Judy: Great on the outside run! It sounds like you have a big family!

Lorie: How was your workout today? Once I am off from summer school I may drive up to the rec center about 30 min. away and try the pool. Wait, I was just thinking, I don't even own a bathing suit! LOL!

Wendy: Sounds like a great workout! Everyone is entitled to a little indulging once in a while.

Carole: Yeah, I could eat Mexican everyday. When I am alone I usually eat primarily vegetarian, but DH is a carnivore. I do like eating meat, just who I am. I did buy the book Fast Food Nation but am a little afraid to read it. Dh read some and said if I read it I will never eat meat again. He knows my weak stomach. Didn't have to give the "look" today. My introduction put them in their place. Seems like a good group. We will have fun, I do not want them not liking school. I told them that they were specially selected to come and they are lucky. They will be ready for the middle school.

Dallas: I am happy to hear you are feeling better! Glad it wasn't strep! I hear you on the cyclists! LOL! I have had my run ins with them on the paths! Like you said, no offense to our beloved Christine!

Jackie: Glad you left the dvd with DBF. I like when my DH hops on the treadmill. The only problem is that the belt is a little small for him. I work out in the living room and we have hard wood maple floors. I may be killing my joints but I do not have the money for that special flooring. Gotta deal with what you're dealt I guess. Good to have you back!

We are walking at 5 now, which is better for me now that I am teaching summer school. I am so tired right now. I took a nap when I got home and didn't get an afternoon workout in. I just don't have it in me. At least I did a little something. I am so enjoying this time with my principal in the morning! She was such a chatterbox this morning about her new job. I am happy for her! Summer school is way easy!! I am loving it! I already have them whipped into shape. Seems like a good group, but it is only the first day. The first two weeks of teaching are always the "honeymoon" period, so I figure I am golden from here on out! Have a great night ladies!

Good evening ladies!

Thought I'd catch up with ya's now cuase I think my morning is going to be a tight on time. I'm planning on a long-ish run, probably around 7-8 miles. Since it's finally gotten a little cooler here it's not neccessary for me to be into work super early so I will have the time to bang that one out.

I think today was just what I needed. We pretty much stayed in all day with the exception of going out to lunch. I had an amazing salad of bacon wrapped jumbo shrimp (hey, there were only four and the bacon was cut quite thin LOL!) and cantaloupe over baby arugala with an apple cider dressing :9 :9! Other than that, we just stayed in and watched the US Open. Now, I've *never* watched golf in my life and only started playing last year with DSO but that was a thrilling match indeed! I was so pulling for Rocco. Even DSO, who worships the ground Tiger walks on, wouldn't have minded if Rocco had won.

Cathy - That lobster ravioli sounded wonderful! Glad to got to enjoy it a second time...gotta love leftovers! That's interesting about your leg length discrepancy. Is this a new discovery or have you just dealt with it in the past? IA about the consistency issue. Glad to hear that you're doing better on the diet front. IA about the consistency aspect being the hardest. I'm great for 3 days then horrible for a couple. I'll keep plugging though.

Kath - {{{HUGS}}} regarding the situation with your bio-family. I will keep you and your BF in my prayers. IA, things like that really do put everything in persepective. Nope, haven't heard anything from my father yet...kinda not surprising. Great run this morning! Tiger's daughter not wanting to leave him was too cute!

Christine - I hope you had a safe flight today! Hopefully, you'll avoid the storms heading your way for that walk! I'll fill you in on DSO and I when you get back. There's not too much of a story we're just a rather unlikely couple ;-).

Shelly - Ugh, sorry your computer did that this morning x(! I'm impressed with your navigation skills...well done! Sorry to hear that today was a bit boring but I'm sure that will pick up in no time. Hopefully LIC did the trick and got the blood pumping again...nothing worse than sitting around allllll day!

Judy - Woohoo, great run today! It's no wonder you had a great run with the kick butt workouts you've been doing! Glad the Super Feet work for you. I have tried them but those were the inserts that gave me the wicked blisters so I just went back to the ones that came with my newest kicks and, so far, no problems. LOL about getting *out* of the pool sweaty...I think that's why I hated swimming competively x(. That just didn't seem right in my mind lol! IA completely about Rocco...classy guy!

Lorie - Funny thing...I did an experiment one day, wearing my HRM to work, just to see how many calories I burned doing various activities. Can you believe I only burn 100 cal/hour (about 50 cals per horse)?!?! I think that's a perfect example of why you have to change up your workouts...talk about a plateau, sheesh! I hope you had a good time with Alwyn and NBF! BTW, does he know that you are still dating Eoin on the side :p?

Wendy - Like our very wise Shelly told you, you know that today's reading was nothing to worry about. WOWZAS...you're nuts!!! That was some workout!

Carole - LOL, if I ever told my mother that I soent most of today watching golf I'll never hear the end of it :p. That's gonna be my little secret. Good luck with the P90X next week...enjoy your recovery week }(! I'm just so glad to hear that all of those nagging injuries have finally resolved themselves.

Dallas - Uh, let me get this straight. You actually had a doctor say "EEEWWWW" because you've got such a wicked sinus infection so you decide to jump on the TM for a run, plus Gym Styles, plus abs?!?!?! Those must be some *very* gooooooooood drugs LOL!

Jackie - Yeah, I'm a sleeper which is why I'm usually in bed by 8 or 9:00. I really need about eight hours to keep motoring. Although, yesterday was definitely an anomaly brought about by a minor case of heat exhaustion from the weekend. Oooh, that would be great if you get DBF interested in P90X!

Gloria - Glad to hear you had a great first day! Somehow I knew you weren't going to have any problems with them. Enjoy the "honeymoon" :p. Glad you're enjoying the time with your principal.

Gonna post my novel, get some horse laundry going and settle in for the night. Hasta manana ladies!

Quick post to let y'all know I arrived safely and had a good time today. Ended up getting here, then running out for lunch because I was starved. I went to a local restaurant and watched Tiger beat Rocco - too bad. I was cheering for Rocco. Got back then did Cardio Coach 8, then met up with some folks for dinner. Had lobster. Yum!! Ready for bed now! :p Hope I can get up for a workout, but... Chat with y'all tomorrow.
