Happy Monday morning, cheetahs :)

Today begins Phase 3/Week 1, so C&B and ARX is on the agenda for this afternoon.

Carole :: I agree with you about customer service…I love when I go to Target and some teenager gives me my change, I say: “thank you,” and he or she responds with, “Yup.” ??? *lol* I’m not unhappy with the X results per se – just that I can’t see it as much in the photos. I took shots on day one and day 62. But yesterday, I wound up dropping them in side by side, and you *can* tell more of a difference in some spots than I originally thought, so all is not lost, but I want to work as I hard as I can in this last phase and tighten up on the eating, which is the not fun part!…Glad DH went for a ride with you…and that it stayed dry…Starting the walkers before the runners makes no sense…Makes ya appreciate the well-organized races.

Wendy :: I know what you mean – it was impossible to stay indoors yesterday…And no, I’m not clicking on that link………yet. :)

Have a great day, everyone!
Cathy :)

Busy, Busy weekend - so I need to go and catch up with you ladies, Whew....We had some awesome weather, a little windy, but I was able to get out and run 2.5 miles both Friday and Sunday. So, I'm making my way back :) It's so hard when you just get started running again and you have to start from the beginning. It's so sad because I used to run 5, 6 miles no problem, but now UGH it will take a while to get back to that again.

Tonight I have circuit class, hopefully more will show up than last Thursday ;-) .

I'll be back after reading posts for some personals.

Marcia.

Good Morning Cheetah Babes.

I am going to try to squeeze in some yoga before DS gets up this morning and then tonight I have my running class. We are heading out to do some outlet shopping w/a friend later this morning so my usual exercise time will not be available. I am not complaining though! }(

I'll be back!:)

Hi Cheetahs

Cathy- don't be discouraged by your pictures, You know you have made gains in fitness and lost inches right?

Hi Marcia :) Isn't it nice to get out and enjoy a great outdoor run again? I understand about not going as far. But you will progress. Good luck with the circuit class attendance tonight

Sunny- Welcome back from your trip! You did amazing at accomplishing your workouts!

This morning I will go back to the canal to run 6 miles without pushing speed. I will also get in some legs, probably 4-5 B&G exercises.

Carole - did you get rained on yesterday?

Did I tell you swome of my girl friends want to do the Avon 40 mile Breast Caacer walk in October in NYC? They are definitely doing it. I am on the fence about it. I really don't like to miss my son's hockey tournaments, and there is a conflict. He is older now and the games are pretty aggressive. My worry is that he might be injured. If he is, I would like to at least be with him. On the other hand, I have 3 SIL who are survivors and my DD's best friend's mother died a year ago from Breast Cancer. Doing the walk would be a way to honor them. This must be pondered.

Edit: Hi Wendy! Have fun at the outlets. Are you shoping for anything or everything?}(

If you fail to plan, then you plan to fail.

Good morning cheetahfriends! Hope everyone is having a good start to their week:) I'm finishing up work now and have one night off:(
Oh well, it'll be a busy week for me with the usual assortment of meetings, work, etc. I've gotten over feeling frustrated about my 5k and look forward to my next challenge of the killer HM on May 6 :7
Bring it on!!

Cathy- I'd be willing to bet your pics don't look bad at all to anyone else except yourself! But I'm glad to hear that you do see some difference now.... helps with the motivation! You have a tough workout day with C&B and ARX!

Marcia- I bet that last week was a fluke with the attendance, you'll probably have a crowd tonight:) Don't get discouraged with the running. If you increase each time just 0.5 miles (that's not much!) in no time you'll be back up to 5-6 miles :)

Wendy- ooooh Outlet shopping! fun fun:7 Glad to hear you're keeping up with the running classes. How far do you run with these typically?

Judy- Wow, you're already back to your canal runs? This sounds very promising :) I can understand your hesitation about leaving your son
but I think you should do the Breast Cancer walk. It'll be an amazing experience for you.

Okay, enough chatter, need to get back to work. I have to go to another mind numbing inservice after work. After a nap I'll be doing a 5-6 mile hill repeat run. Later today will be BBC Legs + cardio
:7 :7
I'll try to check back in later.

Good morning Cheetahs! It was a busy weekend. DD is still recovering from her ear infections, but I think she is finally getting better. Last week was rough. Saturday was spent in Indiana going through a storage unit filled with my grandmother's belongings. She passed away a few days before Christmas. Family from all over came in to see if they wanted anything. I'm glad the weather was so beautiful and warm for that. Sunday was more of a relaxing day, but still busy. I ran 11 miles on the treadmill and then did laundry all day and went grocery shopping. All in all it was a great weekend.

This week will be a relaxing one with my exercising. With my HM on Saturday I won't be running much this week, only a couple 3 milers. I do plan to stretch more this week and work on my ab work. This may sound odd, but I will actually be glad to get this milestone behind me. I've been training for this since the beginning of January and while I am nervous and excited at the same time about running this, I will be relieved as well when it is over. After the HM I plan to start focusing on weight training, with some running for cardio. I've let the weight training fall by the wayside. I don't think I am P90X ready, but maybe after a month of doing Cathe I will be up for the challenge.

Well, I need to start working. I'm hoping I will have time to come back for some personals. Have a great day!

Good morning, guys! Just another quickie here for me. I quickly read the weekend posts.

Shelly-great time. And great idea about the red cap! LOL I should get me one of them! GREAT JOB!

This weekend, for me, was an 8 mile long run. This week is taper BIG TIME! 3 miles, every other day, then Sunday's half.

I'm in the middle of painting older DS' room right now, so I can't chat. In between coats, I'm clearing out younger DS' room for a paint job later in the week.

Sorry I can't chat, and that I've been a quick in-and-out Cheetah these days. But once this warm weather hits and the yard work begins, the work just piles up. Then add in 2 bedroom re-decorating projects, and I'm busy once again.

BBL to catch up.

Gayle

Good morning ladies!

Susan - I know that being with friends was a great boost for your friend. Hope you enjoyed the brunch. Good job on the 4 miles.

Jess - Glad to hear you're liking P90X. I feel proud reading about dh sticking with the game plan. He's going to look great! WTG on the chin ups!! Poor Kirsten is having a hard time. Hope she's feeling better soon. Has she been back to school?

Carole - Good run. You're improving. Think you will be ready for a race in a little bit?

Heather - Hope you can get in the pool.

Cathy - I'm glad viewing the pictures side by side gave you some encouragement. Bet you've made other gains too.

Wendy - Have fun shopping. Hope you find some great bargains.

Judy - The Avon cancer walk sounds like a good challenge but do understand the dilemna you're faced with. Is there someone that could be there with your son? When will the training start for your friends? Have a good workout.

Shelly - I still think you did an awesome job on Saturday. What's your goal for the HM? Killer workout for today, I see. Have a good one.

Kristi - Glad dd is feeling better. Enjoy your easy week. You will do great with your HM.

Gayle - Post when you can. Good luck with the half on Sunday!

I did an iFIT 20 minute elliptical workout, BC Lower Body premix, 50 walking lunges, a 2 mile run and a 20 minute Yoga Zone. Backs of my legs are really sore from Saturday. It's probably from the hills.

Have a great Monday!

Jackie

Good morning cheetahs

Cathy...so, "Yup" means "you're welcome?"....:)...crazy to say the least! Enjoy C&B and ARX today.

Marcia...good job on the runs. I also hope you get some more bodies for the class tonight.

Wendy...Outlet shopping sounds fun. Hope you can squeeze in some yoga before.

Judy...no, the rain had stopped by the time I ran yesterday. It is supposed to be warm today. That will be a tough decision about the Breast Cancer walk. Enjoy your run and legwork.

Shelly...Glad you are feeling better about the 5K. Enjoy your hill run and BBC Legs.

Kristi...how exciting your HM is on Sat! I think you are trained well and hope you have a good time.

Gayle...and your HM is Sunday?...wow 2 cheetahs racing this weekend...:)

Jackie...Not many races coming up around here. I am contemplating a run, bike, run in May. Its a 3 mile run, then a 6 mile ride, then another 3 mile run to finish. Sounds like you got in a good workout.

Heather...have fun with GS legs and enjoy the pool jogging today!

I am doing GS BSB, abs, 40 min on my EXT and floor legs from PLB.

Have a great day...:)

Hey ladies. First coat of paint is done and drying, so I have a quick second or 2.

Kristi-Like you, I'll be glad to have this race behind me as well (my half is this Sunday). Although it's not my first one, I've still got the jitters. I've joined a pace team (1:45) and am really feeling confident that with that extra help, I will be able to stay the course. Also like you, I'm looking forward to focussing on the weights also. GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fell confident that the training we have put in these past several months is going to do its job this weekend!

Gayle

Hello ladies,
It is gorgouse here again in CA. I am loving this weather. Well, I definitley had way to much for brunch yesterday. I had two servings of eggs benedict, my favorite. But, today I am going to eat cleanly and really focus on moderation with the eating.

I feel good after my 4 mile run yesterday. Today, I think I am taking a rest day. I may end up on the elliptical for 30 or 40 minutes to burn off some calories, but we will see how the timing works out.

I have my chiro appointment today to get adjusted and I think I have been holding my adjustments longer, which means my spine is staying in alignment.

I will be getting BBC today. I will have to come up with some type of rotation. I am not great at sticking to a rotation. I may use Wendy's.

I am off to take kids to school. I promise I will be back for personals.

Susan

Hello ladies,

today i am going to tackle tracey staehle's new kickboxing workout. i will report back later to give you my thoughts on the workout.

feels good to be back (sort of, lol). it's nice because the clients i had today all seemed to have really missed me:)

judy- thanks! you are next, vacation here you come!!

i will try to come back later for more personals gotta go workout while my baby is napping.

ttyl....

Hello again ladies,
Well it is quiet in cheetahville today. I just got back from the chiro and am feeling good. I have decided I am going to take a rest day today and just focus on some stuff around the house that has to get done.

Cathy, are you still going to your yoga classes? Did they ban you from them from laughing in class;-)

Marcia, you will be amazed how fast you can get your mileage up. Hope your class goes well tonight and everone shows up
:)

Wendy, I love going outlet shopping. I love the gap outlet and Nordstrom outlet. Have fun at your running class tonight.

Judy, What a great idea just picking a few of the leg exercises from butts and gutts. I am struggling trying to get my leg work in now that I am running again. I think I may focus just on the lying leg work.

Shelly, I am going to sign up for the back to school run in September. You always inspire me. I think by then I will have no problem with a 10k and it is a pretty hilly race, so I will have definitley have to start adding some hills in my runs. I am just trying very hard not to overdo it. Your workout looks great today. I will be doing Barry probably tomorrow.

Kisti, Sounds like you are definitley ready for the half. I can imagine how grueling it is to get ready for some of these longer races. It will be nice when you can switch it up a bit after the race. I too have kind of been slacking on weight training. I just get in moods where I do one thing for a long time and then move on to something else for awhile. I am glad that you daughters ear infection is better.

Gayle, I love painting rooms and fixing up the house. We have painted so many rooms in this house. I love the change. It looks like you are more than ready for your half on Sunday. It is nice to have a taper week.

Jackie. WOW!!! that sounds like one awesome workout. I really need to do something like that to avoid focusing on one thing too long. I am going to write that one down:)

Carole, that race sounds fun that you are contemplating. I have never been a cyclist. I think it would be fun to get into though. I just read the lance armstrong biography and I learned so much about biking and how grueling it can be. Do you have a professional bike for races?

Hello to everyone that follows. I am off to vacuum.

Cheers!

Susan

edit: Hi Sunnydelite. Great to have you back! Enjoy your kickbox workout
:)

Hi everyone! Monday already?? :-(

Cathy - Oh my! It sure sounds like that phlebotomist was not very skilled at all! I'll bet your P90X results are a lot better than you think...even though when you look at the pics you don't "see" a lot of difference. It sounds like you have really lost inches, etc. !

Judy - I would love to be able to do that walk! As a matter of fact, my friend and I were talking about this Saturday night. But, of course, we are nowhere close to where it is. Good luck in your decision! That would be a tough one.

Wendy - Enjoy the yoga and the outlet shopping! I love outlets!!

Marcia - Good job on the run! It won't be anytime at all and you'll be back to being about to run those 6 miles at a time with no trouble!

Shelly - Enjoy your hills and BBC L&B! Sorry about the in-service meeting! Good job on your race Saturday! That was great!

Kristi - Wow! Your HM is really getting close! You will do great!

Gail - Good job on your 8 miler! Yours is really getting close, too!

Jackie - That sounds like a great workout! I really think walking lunges are one of the most effective exercises!

Carole - Enjoy your GS's and EXT and floorwork!! Your lab experience sounds terrible, too! Youch!

Susan - I am really glad your 4 miles went well and that your adjustments are lasting longer! Enjoy your elliptical workout if you decide to do it! I hope you like BBC! I just love it!

This weekend, I was on a step kick! I can't believe it was so nice here and I didn't run outside! All I could think of was step :+ Saturday I did P90X L&B and Gin Miller's Simply Interval. Yesterday was Gin's Simply Step.

I am on my recovery week of Phase I in the P90X rotation. (but not using their cardio). I still am holding onto two of those three lbs that I gained since starting it. I "feel" stronger, but I don't see any difference. But I guess it is too early. Maybe if I started watching what I ate, it would be better ;-) Today is my rest day, but I am looking forward to CS tomorrow!

Hi to everyone that checks in later, or that I may have missed!!!

Linda

I can’t believe how quiet it is around here today. Is everyone doing P90X? I might need to rethink waiting a month to start it.

Cathy – Wow, phase 3 already?!? Where have I been? That is great! I’m sure you are having great results. It is just harder for us to notice them on ourselves.

Marcia – Great job with the 2.5 milers! You will get back to where you were in no time.

Wendy – Enjoy the day outlet shopping! It sounds like so much.

Judy – Good luck coming up with a decision on the Avon 40 mile Breast Cancer walk or DS’s hockey tournament. I’m sure any decision you make will be the right one. Enjoy your 6 miler!

ShellyC – You will do great with your HM. Only a couple more weeks to go.

Gayle – GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR HM TOO!!!!!! I’ll be thinking about you on Sunday. I’m sure our training will see us through to the end. (At least that is what I keep trying to tell myself. ) Have fun painting your DSs rooms. It is so much fun transforming a room with paint.

Jackie – Like usual, great workout!! You are so sweet and encouraging. Thanks.

Carole – I hope my training has been enough. Thanks for the encouraging words. Are you signed up for the run-bike-run race? It sounds like a nice one. Great workouts!

Susan – Great job with your 4 miler yesterday! Good luck with your clean eating. That is so hard for me too. Enjoy your rest day today.

SunnyD – How was your vacation? Are you well rested? I’m glad to see you posting again!

Linda – I’m sorry to inform you, yes, it is Monday already. However the great news is that it is almost over. How are you liking P90X? I’m sure the pounds will go away real soon. Enjoy your rest day!

Hi to all cheetahs!!

Hey Cheetahs.

No time for personals. Just wanted to report in that I got the first 20-25 mins of Long and Lean yoga in this morning. I was out too late to make my running class though. I'm kind of annoyed at myself for that since I missed last week too but oh well. I did nothing else today as far as exercise goes...BAD girl!x(

I *DID*, however, score a pair of Lucky Jeans for $50 at the outlets! I was sooo excited that I *ALMOST* bought TWO pair! LOL }( }( The style is "Maggie" super low cut. Never owned a pair this low...should be interesting...;) }( :+

I'll be back in the morning folks!:)

Cheetahs Check-in

Water Cheetah checking in!

I started this Monday with Gym Style Legs. I did the standing segment after the warm-up then skipped to the stretch. My legs were on fire! I think this one is harder than Leaner Legs and Butts and Guts! I love those slow motion lunges. Yes, I do! I love the leg presses with the band too. Butts and Guts is still my favorite lower body workout, but this is a close second followed by Leaner Legs. I love that Cathe wears shorts in this one. I love the pretty peach tops too.

My boss was in Dallas today. I had a peaceful day at work. Hopefully, tomorrow will be more productive as I still have a lot to do before he returns.

I went to the club after work and jogged in the pool. My beautiful new swimsuit that I bought last month is already way too big in the waist! I realize that this is a good problem to have, but swimsuits are not cheap! I have only worn this one a few times. My butt and hips are still too big to buy smaller shorts! The top is fine. My chest and hips are not shrinking at all. Just my waist!

I observed a few minutes of Pit Bull’s cardio boot camp class tonight and realized how much I miss her and her class. The part I watched with the stability ball looked like so much fun! One of the girls in class told me that they are planning to have a party when I return to class! I am hoping to return to class in July. I need to shed 20-30 pounds first.

I bought a digital camera bag tonight. I need to order my camera this week and learn how to use it before the Road Trip.

I am planning to do cardio in the morning followed by the Muscle Max upper body premix. I may do the Low Max step premix.

Blessings,
Heather B.
