Good morning, ladies! J
Wendy—Makes sense that you were feeling a bit rundown. You were beginning a cold and worked a long night at a new job that must’ve been a little stressful for you at first, so your body probably needed a little more rest than usual. I see you bounced back quickly, though! Glad the run left you feelin’ good. College is not for everyone. I’m sure you’ll figure out what’ll work for you. A massage is always money well spent, IMO, but this one was tops. I think my leg muscles needed it more than I realized.
Christine—going into Monday kicking and screaming is just a waste of energy, IMO. Even when I’m not looking forward to it, I just fake it. J It works for me. Glad you enjoyed dinner with DD15. Was it a blind date when you met DH or did you just happen to meet him there?
Carole—thanks, nothing I can do to speed up now, anyway, so I might as well enjoy it. J The word somehow leaked at work, and now I have folks coming up to me and asking me about it, and generally, non-runners’ responses seem to be impressed that anyone would want to run this far, period, regardless of time. That's kinda nice. Glad the fall weather arrived out there! So, you are pushing up to 5 days now or 6?
Linda—Patty does not want to taper??? I never heard of anyone doing that before. I think you are wise to let her do her own thing on that. I’m smiling at our hill/gradual incline discussion. None of them are easy for me!
Jackie— I’m one of those people who is not a Monday hater, which I think annoys the hell out of everyone else. Even if I’m feelin’ a little roughed up on a Monday morning or not ready for the weekend to be over, I try to just get past it right away rather than grumble about the day before it’s already started. So yes, I had a great Monday! It did end with a migraine, unfortunately, but it was otherwise a productive & enjoyable day. I love IMAX theaters. Sounds like a full weekend. Darnit, did DWTS start last night? I missed it. I heard Maks is back. *hubba hubba*
Karen—Winging it, sort of, is right. I’d planned to stick with circuits, anyway, so there’d have been no need to re-invent the wheel. I'm just continuing to follow the rotation loosely, as I have been. Considering the busy factor, I do consider it a success to fit in 4 or 5 workouts a week instead of 6. Though last week it was runs only—not ideally what I wanted to do, but oh well. Sorry the dentist appointment fouled up your plans. Nice job with the run & PUB combo.
Gloria—The circuit never happened ‘cause a migraine did. Same is true for me with music, too. I need to sit down and make a good running playlist for Chicago…Glad you got through those papers. Don’tcha love how one stack disappears and another forms? J I went to bed early, too. Similar week here at my end. When it’s busy like this, any exercise at all has to be considered a good thing. I thought the same thing about the equinox when I first read that. Ah, the power of the preposition. J
Wendi—sounds like just the right way to honor and celebrate a dear friend’s life. *raises tea glass* To MK!
Yesterday’s circuit plan was thrown for a loop when a migraine hit me after school. I could not work out. Not dwelling on it. I contemplated heading out for a run in the wee hours this morning, but I’m still feelin’ a tad walloped. I have an appointment first thing after school, but it shouldn’t take too long. Look forward to getting out there in this gorgeous fall weather.
Have a fantastic Tuesday!
