Good morning ladies,
I am late posting today, because I went to the gym first thing this morning and did the elliptical for 45 minutes. I think my body has hit a plateau with it. I can't seem to get my heartrate above 155 on it anymore. I am just too dang fit}( I am going to go on Sunday and do the bike and see if I like it. I tried it before and it aggravated my back a little, but I am going to try it again and see if I like it.
MY ELLIPTICAL IS COMING TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It will be here between 3 and 5 today. I am so excited. It will keep from jumping around at home so much. I have to order some of those workouts you guys use with them.
Cathy, how fun to chaperone a dance. I remember those dances all too well. I was always so excited about going to them. I know, I was such a geek. How are you liking your new dvd's you ordered and oh, are you enjoying the heart rate monitor?
Marcia, sorry you had such a crappy day yesterday. Thank god for our workouts or we would all be a bunch of grumpy pants.
Wendy, glad you are plugging along with the 500 page book. Wow, the prices have gone up. I paid about $150 for my ACE certification about 12 years ago. You are going to be so happy you are doing this. I used to go to Barnes and Noble and study there for hours whenever I would get certified. I did not have kids at the time though. Good job on the 90 minutes of yoga. You really are a yogini now!
Laura, whenever I overtrain or lift heavy weigths consecutive weeks, I feel a little puffy, especially in my upper body. Just make sure you mix things up a lot and it will balance it out. Also, make sure you take rest days to let the body calm down and to give the muscles a break.
Judy, enjoy your time at the salon
Kristi, enjoy your rest day. Sounds like a great contest for your hubby. I am sure he will do great.
Christine, sorry about the groin pull. Be smart and give it a rest. Don't sweat it about the 2nd. I can definitley do the week after that. Just let me know. We will get our GTG in one way or another.
Carole, the upward dogs and the forward bends were putting a lot of pressure on my back when it was injured a few months ago. The upward dog is hyperextension and it is a great stretch for the back but it can put some pressure on it, if your back is super tight. Forward bends also put some pressure on the back if it is tight, but if you bend your legs while doing them it is safer for someone like me. Enjoy your workout and have a great day!
Barb, so glad to hear you are feeling better. Thanks for the little recipe for chips. My girls LOVE helping me in the kitchen and they love baking. I can't wait to try these.
Karen, great workout, as usual.
I am off to my weekly massage. I am so enjoying those. When my hubby does the budget, I have a feeling they will turn into monthy massages}(
Have a great day ladies and I will TTYL
Cheers!
