::: CHEETAHS ::: Happy Friday, 1/26

Good morning ladies,
I am late posting today, because I went to the gym first thing this morning and did the elliptical for 45 minutes. I think my body has hit a plateau with it. I can't seem to get my heartrate above 155 on it anymore. I am just too dang fit}( I am going to go on Sunday and do the bike and see if I like it. I tried it before and it aggravated my back a little, but I am going to try it again and see if I like it.

MY ELLIPTICAL IS COMING TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It will be here between 3 and 5 today. I am so excited. It will keep from jumping around at home so much. I have to order some of those workouts you guys use with them.

Cathy, how fun to chaperone a dance. I remember those dances all too well. I was always so excited about going to them. I know, I was such a geek. How are you liking your new dvd's you ordered and oh, are you enjoying the heart rate monitor?

Marcia, sorry you had such a crappy day yesterday. Thank god for our workouts or we would all be a bunch of grumpy pants.

Wendy, glad you are plugging along with the 500 page book. Wow, the prices have gone up. I paid about $150 for my ACE certification about 12 years ago. You are going to be so happy you are doing this. I used to go to Barnes and Noble and study there for hours whenever I would get certified. I did not have kids at the time though. Good job on the 90 minutes of yoga. You really are a yogini now!

Laura, whenever I overtrain or lift heavy weigths consecutive weeks, I feel a little puffy, especially in my upper body. Just make sure you mix things up a lot and it will balance it out. Also, make sure you take rest days to let the body calm down and to give the muscles a break.

Judy, enjoy your time at the salon:)

Kristi, enjoy your rest day. Sounds like a great contest for your hubby. I am sure he will do great.

Christine, sorry about the groin pull. Be smart and give it a rest. Don't sweat it about the 2nd. I can definitley do the week after that. Just let me know. We will get our GTG in one way or another.

Carole, the upward dogs and the forward bends were putting a lot of pressure on my back when it was injured a few months ago. The upward dog is hyperextension and it is a great stretch for the back but it can put some pressure on it, if your back is super tight. Forward bends also put some pressure on the back if it is tight, but if you bend your legs while doing them it is safer for someone like me. Enjoy your workout and have a great day!

Barb, so glad to hear you are feeling better. Thanks for the little recipe for chips. My girls LOVE helping me in the kitchen and they love baking. I can't wait to try these.

Karen, great workout, as usual.

I am off to my weekly massage. I am so enjoying those. When my hubby does the budget, I have a feeling they will turn into monthy massages}(

Have a great day ladies and I will TTYL

Cheers!

Susan

Colleen cking in. Ran 45 min/ 1min walk. 1min run slow. 1 min. run fast - 10x - along with 5 min warm up/cool down, BM2 abs and stretch.

Yesterday did CBT 90% of Cathe's weight. I just can't seem to match her on that one.

Susan I laughed reading "too dang fit". Good for you. Have fun with your new eliptical. Some day I hope to get one but first I have to finish my voice over web site. All my $ have been going into my new demo and marketing materials. I should have it up and running in one more month.

DS has a class skating party tonight. I get on my skates and hobble around once a year. For some reason no matter wiether the skates are mine or rented my ankles bleed. I have fat ankles.

I must stop talking and get back to reality. Hi Barb, Cathy, Janice, Carole, Judy, Jess, Mattea and anyone I've missed.

Colleen--
good job on your run/workout. You are a busy cheetah.

Thanks for the reality check though. I thought this was reality!!!!:+

Ok, this is explaining a lot.....

kristi- thanks. I guess I can just do what you did and add and adjust my calories. thanks.

susan- yes, I think I could or should get some more cardio in. I have been doing more plyo and wt stuff.

I didnt end up doing my treadmill this morning so I am hoping to do something before the night is over. It is very cold here in ohio and I am thinking tomorrows run will be cold.Brrrrrrr. Oh well, thanks to my friend I know how to dress for it!

see ya!

A circus :+ :+ :+ YES, Barb, you nailed it right on with that comment. My workplace is most definitely a circus. I did pretty good staying out of everyone's way and problems today :) .

I came home and did 30 minutes on the elliptical; that way when we go out to eat tonight I won't feel quite so guilty if I have a few "no-no's".

Have a great evening everyone!

Marcia.

Good Evening Ladies. :)

I'm slackin' on my posts the last couple of days, aren't I? I'm usually here postin' away several times a day and now it's down to 2-3! I should be ashamed of myself! LOL :p

I've had my head in the PT book for a while this evening and will probably go back to it when I'm done here. I'd like to read throughit ATLEAST once in it's entirety...if not twice! Or atleast have time after reading it once fully through to go back and re-read the chapters that will be most relevent to the subjects covered in the exam...Sorry to bore you with this ladies! :p

Legs and Back and ARX were completed as scheduled. The run w/my friend did not work out but that's okay...I know we'll be hittin' the pavement together once I finish the X if nothing else! }(

So I have one more work out-my long run tomorrow-and then I'm into my first Rest Week on the rotation! A month of work outs is almost done with already! WOW! Time flies when you are having fun, right? I really AM having fun! It's so different from anything I have done in the past! I think that's why I am loving it so much. Ofcourse, it doesn't hurt that I can already see changes in my body!:)

Okay, I fear I am rambling on here and I'm not even going to do personals tonight. Sorry. :-( I will catch up tomorrow...probably before I head out to the gym.

Have a great night Cheetahs!:)
