:::: CHEETAHS :::: cinco de mayo!!

Carole :: hmm, I am still at a loss...and you *KNOW* I love my Seinfeld! :)

Sunny :: WOO-HOO! Enjoy the post-race high and congrats on the faster time!! I agree, it's most fun to do races when you have somebody to go with... All right, that's it - I am marching over there with my little mouse & ordering Squeeze RIGHT NOW. Don't ask me how, but somehow I have managed not to open the Karen link, either. I think I fear that woman.

Well, ladies, after my run, I did B&G Standing Legs and MM corework. And now, unfortunately, a migraine is coming on. :( I don't get it. I wasn't getting them for the longest time, and now this is the second one I've had in 6 weeks. This sucks! I hope it's like last time - not TOO intense. I have things I need to do today! (Other than posting like a madwoman. :p)

Ciao! Though I'm sure this is not the last you'll hear from me today...
Cathy :)

Oops, Christine, I just missed your post. Thanks for the info on paella--now I'm hungry. Sounds tasty!...Cracked up about the Pupperware...The group rides sound great...enjoy today's w/out!

~Cathy :)

christine- oh great, now i am going back over to itrain for that workout...lol the more i hear about the jimmy the more i am leaning towards wanting a dog!!!!

cathy- hopefully we will both enjoy that one. i've never done a workout like squeeze. with all of my itrain purchases, i have managed to avoid the iballets. i am so excited about having a running buddy:7

yesterday i also ordered the carribean workouts stretch into yoga...(slaps self on top on head). it's a 2 pack and was only $5.99 at deep discount video.

ok, off to ds's last football game for the season.

have a great day:)

Cathy - if you ever make it out my way, I'll take you for Paella. I'll bet you can get it around your area, too - it's a Spanish dish, but a lot of Northern Italian restaurants offer it too - and seafood restaurants as it has a lot of seafood in it. Now I'm craving it too.

Sunny - lol - I only tell you the good parts. I didn't mention that I had to spend 20 minutes wiping him down last night, then another 20 minutes cleaning because he decided to dig up a geranium and drag it all over the house - dirt and all.

>>Grrrr! LOL

>>I am actually eyeballing the mat for the step. It is

So did ya go back to the site and order it yet? Did ya? Did ya? Hmmmm!?!?! }(

I just did!!!!!!}( :7 }(

Good morning ladies!!

Cathy - SSE are not difficult. It's just that Debbie does so many reps using lighter weights. Those weights can get heavy after so much. That can wear you out. I always get some good definition in my arms when I use Slim Series. Glad you enjoyed your new iTread. Yes, it's very addicting. I don't think I could make it through my treadmill and elliptical workouts without those coaches. Hope the migraine does not stick around.

Sunny - Had to come back and edit. Great job with your 5K!! You had a good time too!! You will be addicted! You can handle a 10K! What's the longest you've run?

Wendy - I always thought SS workouts were too long especially those over an hour long. Hope you enjoy them. Participating in a few races is what got my motivation to run back again. I may be burned out again by the time I finish. Good job on completing BBC.

Carole - Oh, yes, I see. KV would be worth $50 for all of that. Can't wait to hear how you like it. But, don't enable me! LOL!! Man, I see you posted the link again!

Gayle - Glad you had a great trip to DC. If you have to be stuck in traffic, let someone else do the driving. Enjoy your day with the boys and planting your garden. Wish I had the knack for that. Maybe when I retire.

Christine - That's awesome that your company has bike rides! It sounds like so much fun. Enjoy your manicure.

I did 10.3 miles this morning. The weather was perfect. Wow, was that last mile hard! Just when my legs wanted to give out, the song "I Like To Move It" came up on my playlist. It gave me that extra energy to push through. I finished in 1:50:46. I did Cool It Off Express. That stretch felt so good after that run. Now, I'm icing my legs and will get a hot shower in a bit. Next weekend is my 10K and I want to try to run it as close to 60 minutes as I can. I have no idea what the course looks like. DBF is doing the 5K. He will walk/run. I'm so proud of him for wanting to do it.

Have a great Saturday ladies!

Jackie

Thanks Jackie - now I'm going to be singing that song ALL day... :p Glad your run went well, and glad that last mile was bareable because of that song.

Okay NOW I am really off to workout. I so enjoy lazing around Saturday mornings - because I never get a chance during the week!

Good morning ladies,
Thank you ladies again for all of your kind words and support. You are a TRULY special group of women. I have actually gone through the morning so far with no tears. I am really excited about Allyson's party. We are having a cinco de maya party. We will have 12 little girls over and her sisters. It will definitley be a loud household. Ally wanted a realy spanish dress for her b-day and we found one on E-bay. She looks so cute in it especially with her blonde hair. I will post pics later.

I did 30 on the elliptical last night and then BBC arms and abs. That is one tough workout. I did not do the cardio portion. Today, I will do a 3mile run and then BBC shoulder and back. I really like this series. I don't care for the chest dvd, but I will still do it.

Well, I am off to workout and then the festivities begin. I hope tomorrow to have time for some personals. Have a great day ladies!

Susan

I'm back and BBC full body is DONE!}(

Gayle: Sounds like a great day in the sun that you have planned for you and your boys. I was out in the yard with Joey and Clyde for about 30 mins when a dog that had gotten out of his yard cut our play time short. My dog was playing w/him through the fence, running back and forth, etc and Joey wanted to play too. I, ofcourse would NOT let Joey go anywhere NEAR the fence with the strange dog there (he seemed friendly but you NEVER know!!!) so I had no choice but to bring him inside because he was crying over not being able to play with the dogs. I couldn't get my dog away so I just waited until the other dog finally walked away and then my dog came in the house willingly.

Cathy: Have you checked out Karen's website for the step mat yet? }( Glad you liked the ITread. You should consider picking one or two up for TM use when you just can't get outside but want to get a run in. They really make a difference!:)

Sunny: Congrats on shaving off that minute! Every second counts girl! ^5's!!!:)

Christine: Those group bike rides sound like fun! I am a part of the running club in my area and they have group runs about 3x per week. Each run is in a different area and a different distance. I have never been to one. I really should grab my running buddy and go one time. It's included with the price of the membership which I got for free from when I signed up for the first running class last year!

Cathy: Feel better!!!!

Jackie: Great job on the 10 mile run girl! I have not actually made it to 6 miles yet even! LOL I have slacked off working on distances and have just been having fun with speed and hills using ITread. When I left off working distance I had run something like 5.91 miles on the TM. I need to get outside and go for a solid 6 or more this spring!}(

Susan: (((HUGS))) I hope your DD's party is lots of fun and gets your mind off your troubles. You need some light hearted fun right now! Your whole family does!:) So what is it about BBC's chest work out that you don't like?

I’m back, ladies…*Gotta* share this w/ my cheetahs…I went shopping this afternoon to pick up a few much-needed spring/summer wardrobe staples and found myself doing the giddiest of happy dances in the fitting room…BECAUSE I am o-fficially now a size 6!!! (Which I haven’t been in about 10 years!) Yay!!

Personals…

Sunny :: OK, I'm probably gonna need a second job soon, but I went ahead & placed my order for Squeeze. It looks like it might be similar to Fluidity (which, admittedly, I haven’t been able to do while on the X) but it’s gotten such supportive reviews that I have to give it a shot…hope you had fun at the football game.

Christine :: come to think of it, I’m sure I have seen Seafood Paella on a menu somewhere…maybe I’ll have to give it a go…Anywho, I’m still hoping one of these days we can arrange for that cheetah GTG someplace central.

Wendy :: OK, I went to Karen’s site and saw the mat…WHY did I do that??? I'm gonna try to block it out of my head for now and pretend I never saw it *LOL*...re: the iTrains, good idea. As you know, I’m not a lover of the TM, but having someone coaching me in my ear would probably make it so much more bearable. And now that I see what it’s about, I really can’t wait for Cathe to start releasing all of her MP3 workouts!!!

Jackie :: thanks for the add’l info on SSE. I’m intrigued but know I need to cool it now w/ the fitness splurges. I still have BBC waiting for me when the X is done!…Thanks -- the migraine, thankfully, was relatively short-lived and now only a mild headache remains. Totally manageable...Yeah, I’ve got that song stuck in my head now, too *LOL*…Great time on your 10.3 miler. You’re gonna *ROCK* next week’s 10K. Cool that DBF’s joining you.

Christine :: I’m the same with the Saturday morning lounge-about. Love it!

Susan :: good to see you check in…I hope Allyson enjoys the party…sounds like a fun theme. (Makes me want to crack open a Corona.)…I hope it also serves as a distraction for you from all the sad thoughts & heaviness weighing on you right now.

My new power yoga vids arrived in today’s mail, so I'm off to go preview those. Oh, and I cancelled dinner – I’m in full-on homebody mode this weekend and am lovin' it!

~Cathy :)

Cathy, I'm glad I could enab-er-HELP you out w/both the mat AND the ITreads!;) Enjoy your night in! If I lived closer I'd come down with a pack of corona and preview those yoga vids with ya! LOL :7

I have to say I really liked the KV workout, and the bodybar. Her style is so different than Cathe's. Very precise, slow moves concentrating on the muscles and using light weights. Karen's cardio was fun but some of the moves were confusing unless you have done some of her stuff before. Very low impact in this workout. Good for an easy saturday though...:)

Sunny..good job on the 5K! A picture would be so cool!! I did get that Tracey kickbox one too, so maybe next Sat! It was iStretch Combo 12 for 60 mins.

Christine...so Jimmy likes the bed?...that is where Miss Sadie sleeps! Nadia is interesting and yes, not a real tough workout, but I do standing and floor on separate days and then add other exercises to each. Yeah, I am singing Jackies song too...

Cathy...for some reason I thought Paella had rice in it...if I ever see that episode again I'll let you know what else it was about...:)..sorry about the migraine. WAY TO GO on the size 6 cheetah!!!

Jackie...good job on the 10.3 miles. I bet you are very ready for the 10K next week. That is really nice DBF is doing the 5K.

Susan...the party sounds fun and seeing the pics will be great! Glad to hear today is a bit better. BBC C&A the guy nevers quits talking!! I do like the abs though, but I think I've done about 50 reps while he explains the exercise.

Wendy...nice to see you mat enabling!! You did the right thing with the strange dog, as you really never know.

Thought I'd check to see if Shelly by chance posted. Guess I'll have to wait a little longer. I'm glad to be joining the crowd and just doing a little relaxing. I've had the munchies all day long too.

Christine - I heard that song on Dancing With The Stars and thought I would add it to my playlist. It's over 6 minutes long and lasted awhile. How was the workout?

Susan - Glad to hear today was better for you. I know the party and all of those little girls will take your mind off things for a little while. Hope everyone has lots of fun!

Wendy - I don't blame you for taking Joey inside. Don't like strange dogs either. I really need to work on my hills. Maybe after the 10K I will. My Road Race Series starts in July with a 5K. Aug. will be 5 miles. Sept. is another 10K. Oct. is 10 miles and then the half is in Nov. I'll see how I feel after each race and decide if I want to continue.

Cathy - Congratulations on the Size 6!!! WTG!!! Glad the headache is better. Thanks for the vote of confidence for next week. New workouts!! Yippee!! Are we a lost cause or what?

Carole - Glad you enjoyed the KV workout. I'm not looking again, just yet anyway. LOL!! The dogs were loose again in the park this morning and I thought about what you said. One kept looking back at me and running. Guess he thought I was chasing him. The other one I told to go away and he went his merry way. But, I still had my mace on the ready because you just never know.

I'm going to see what movies are on tonight and I will be vegging in front of the tv.

Jackie

I’m back all! I enjoyed The BBC Legs workout, although Nadia reminds me of one of DD18’s friends. I have a tough time taking her seriously. It’s a good little workout – made tougher just by the sheer length of time you do the exercises.

Jimmy gained 5 pounds – and unlike us, that’s a good thing. The vet couldn’t believe how big he’s getting (neither can I!). Got the shopping done, decided to skip the nail until next week. And went grocery shopping with DD14. DD14 made Alton Brown’s protein bars, and I made two dinners – so we’re waiting for the protein bars to be done to sample them. They look really good! Took Jimmy and Kimo for a long walk (I figure I walk them an average of 3.5/4 miles a day in addition to my other workouts, which is good) , and now I’m relaxing in front of the TV, laptop on lap and watching Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Man’s Chest and sipping a bottled margarita – my sole concession to Cinco de Mayo. :p

Susan – do let us know how the party went and hugs to to B-day girl Sounds like you have a very special day planned. You’re an incredible lady Susan.

Wendy – okay – here’s the deal – you go to the group run and I’ll go on the group ride! How’s that sound? :p And yes, you did do the right thing with the strange dog! Sounds like a good dog who got loose, but you do never know. So not worth the risk at all.

Cathy – CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! I’m so impressed! A size 6 eh? Great for you! And I am so with you on the full-on homebody this weekend. When DH goes out of town, I like to hunker down – he’s so social that I feel I never just get to be!

Carole – great, I’m not enabled, although it does sound like a great workout. Yes, Jimmy loves to bed. I would love to have Jimmy sleep on the bed, but DH would never go for it, so I hope he does not get too used to it.

Jackie – I love songs like that – that kick in right went you are totally beat and get you moving again. I finished my first 10 miler to “Fruitcakes” by Jimmy Buffett – perfect beat for doing that.

Shelly – HOW’D IT GO? We’re all waiting anxiously for your post!!
