CHEETAHS, Apr 4, Wednesday

Good morning! Well….at least it is Wednesday and not Monday!

Cathy – Great picture! You look cute even with pink metallic hair! ;) I actually started P90X on Sunday….but didn’t do it yesterday. I am planning on doing it with running and step, thrown in, too.

Carole – You asked me yesterday about whether I was going to the full 90 day rotation. I “hope” to….but knowing me….I may just last a month and have to do a Cathe rotation again. But….I am going to give it my best shot. Great workout that you have planned!

Marcia – Sorry you aren’t feeling that great and that you didn’t sleep! Hope you have a good circuit class tonight! We will be getting flurries tomorrow! Guess you will be sending them our way! Lol

Jess – I am so sorry that you are having so much trouble with your Achilles! That has got to be really aggravating and painful! The workouts that you are talking about being able to do are great workouts! So at least you will be able to keep your fitness level up while you are healing! Hopefully, you will be healed up soon…..but you may decide you want to concentrate on biking and swimming…even when you are 100%! Can’t wait for you to get P90X! I started on Sunday.

Wendy – Yup…I must admit….I avoided the X yesterday! But…I made up for it today! I think if I were you, I would switch to L&B too! Unless your back is sore, too! Then maybe you could do Legs and Backless and do just back later in the week? I love L&B! Enjoy your workout!

Gayle – Wow! I would have had a heart attack with 4 kids, hiking with dropoffs! But it sounds like fun! Have fun swimming and McD’s! I’ll bet you will really miss them when they go back!

Karen – I have been thinking of cutting back on some of my workouts for a while, too. I hope you feel less tired and start feeling better. Enjoy CC#6! I love that one.

Sunny – Enjoy whichever full body you decide on!

Jackie – Great workout! Man….I can’t do ANY unassisted pullups! I have to used bands or do them with my Fluidity bar….or assisted on my Power Tower. I am so weak in the upper body!

Emily – Good job on the TM run! May not be fancy….but it sure does the job! Good job!

Shelly – Looks like a great workout you have planned! At least when you go to work tonight….it will just be 1 night and then another break!

This morning I made up for missing Plyo X yesterday! I did PlyoX, P90X S&A and ARX. I had forgotten how much fun PlyoX is!

Hope everyone has a wonderful day! And Hi to everyone that I may have missed or that checks in later!

Linda

Emily, I don't think 40 min on a treadmill is slacking.

ShellyC, you must have loads of energy. You do some awesome workouts. Do you have an ipod or mp3 player to listen to your iclimb? I will have to try BBC total body sometime.

Linda, great job on continuing with the X. You really did make up for it today.

A question for all you educated crowd. If I want to do 5 trail runs every other week starting in June and going through mid August, want to run a 1/2 marathon in Sep. and do a 50 mile tandem time trial in the beginning of August, what should I be doing? I don't have a treadmill or an elliptical. I do have a spinning bike. I want to be ready for all of them but I don't know what to focus on. I can't get out and run in this cold and I prefer running on trails which are very muddy for a long time here. I love step, kickbox, circuits and weights. I don't want to spend all my time doing cardio because I love weights too. Any plans on what to focus on most?

Thanks in advance and have a good day.

Hello again, ladies! Thanks for all of the support (re: achilles). I've been hobblin' around today but I know it will get better! I did finally get back to sleep & then overslept my alarm!! I got up in time to get my dd's fed & off on the bus though!

Wendy ~ I did it!! I did Mr. YP!! (and now I see why you ladies call him that!) Susan, you're a lucky lady to have taken his classes! I did segment #1 ~ Energize. Surprisingly, I REALLY liked it!! Sorry you didn't, but it worked out well for me! :7 It went by really quickly & I think it did help stretch out my calf! I need to do yoga more often, I always think of it but don't seem to do it.

It's been a nice, relaxing day. Got caught up on laundry, cleaned, and played w/ Allison. These are the days I love being a SAHM!! I haven't even left the house, it got sooo cold (back down to the 30's!).

Ok, hope you're all having a great afternoon!

Hey Cheetah Babes!:)

*does happy dance into the thread, grabs the first cheetah she sees and twirls her around*

I am uber excited because I just finished Legs and Back and I can do unassisted chin ups!!!! WOOH HOO!!!! Tony calls it the reverse grip chin up, to be exact! I tried one before the work out (not expecting to succeed!) and when I was able to do it I got so darned excited that I called my DH right away to tell him! LOL :7 I did 3 in a row on round 1 in the work out and then 1 in round 2. It's not much but impressive for a girl who couldn't do ANY 3 months ago! I can't do any other style unassisted though I can come very close!!!

Time for a shower for now. I'll come back for personals in a bit!

Toodles!:+

Jess - The pictures are so good! Your family is just beautiful! I love seeing pics! Thanks for posting them!

Wendy - Congratulations! I don't know if I will ever be able to do one unassisted! Great job!!!!

Linda

Great job Wendy. That is impressive. I guess your determination to finish the X is paying off.

I'm baaack!

DS is watching Potty Time with Bear in the big blue house and I am all squeaky clean so I can catch up on personals before dinner. :)

DH is working O/T again so dinner is going to be easy again tonight...LOVE easy meals!}( ;)

Gayle: What an awesome time you and the kids must have had y'day! Sounds fabulous! I can understand why you were tired too! You were probably MORE worn out then the kiddos were!:p :7 I love going to parks and such and going on trails. So pretty. I don't do it nearly often enough...:-(

Karen: Don't feel bad about shortening your work outs to an hour in length! That is enough of a work out on a daily basis for any of us! Don't over-do it! Thanks for the congrats re: the chin ups!:+

Sunny: So what did you decide on for your f/b work out today? How many clients did you train? What's the countdown on the cruise now??? :+ I am DONE with the written portion of my PT exam! Just have to proof the essay questions and get them in proper format. On to the practical...*biting nails*

Carole: My barbell and ankle weights were shipped today! I can't wait to get them! I only got the actual bar (empty) and spring collars. I have plates from my new weight set my SIL got me for Christmas. I can always add extra plates as needed. I have 30 pounds of plates right now so I'll see what I need once I start doing Cathe vids again. How do you like Istretch? Is it easy to follow? I am afraid I won't understand what they are telling me to do with out seeing it! LOL

Jackie: You are my hero! TEN unassisted pull ups is AWESOME girl! ^5's! :) I only bought an empty bar and the spring collars. I have some plates already. I don't even remember who makes the bar I bought but it's the short one-5 foot-I don't have the room nor the desire to mess with a 6 foot bar.

Emily: 40 mins on the 'mill fancy or not is great! So will you be doing another marathon come 2008?? }(

Shelly: I *ALMOST* added cardio on after L&B cause that new platform is calling my name!!!! LOL So how many days off will you have after working tonight?

Linda: L&B is definately a great work out...it just gets old when you have to do it every week for 3 months straight! LOL What work out wouldn't though, right? Even a CATHE work out would get old!:p

Jess: I am sooo glad that you like Mr. YP!!!! I feel like the odd man out for not clicking with him but I've always known I was a wierdo so this should come as no surprise! LOL :p Enjoy the dvd!!!:)

Wendy - I agree with any workout getting old after doing it week after week! I am always afraid to do my favorites very often....cause I am afraid I will get "foundered" on it and never want to do it again! I think that is why it is so hard for me to commit to another 3 months with P90X :+

Hey All -

Sneaking in to write a quick note to y'all! Did Push Pull Upper Body only x3 (great back workout!) and took a spin class at the gym with my coworker! Holy cow! I found an instructor at this gym that I like. So I'm thoroughly worked out! We have another puppy under consideration - he's at the bottom. Named Bobby - but we'd change his name. I don't know. DH wants a black tri - so I don't mind going with that. And we'll see if Moose or Taycin work out today. That's pretty much my life right now - working out, working, and puppies, so please forgive me if I'm a little focused. The other company is calling references today, so hopefully I'll hear soon on the other jobl.

Karen - thanks. There's something about this one that just tugs me. He's more expensive than the other ones, but I think he just looks like a very well bred dog.
