RE: HEE-HEE! Yoga & Recipes
I relate to your feeling of NEEDING yoga - I recently decided to give as much (or nearly as much) emphasis to the flexibility/"quiet strength/yoga" component of my routine as I do cardio and weight training. I've read that a balanced fitness program incorporates endurance/cardio, strength and flexibility. Thanks to Cathe I feel I have a good program for the first two elements, but up to this point I haven't been able to develop a good plan for the last.
You are a practicing fitness professional, I'd be really REALLY interested to hear your perspective.
I've only done the KS Yoga Basics tape once, but liked it (anyone with yoga training would likely find it too easy). She starts with modified poses and then moves into the more challenging sets, all the while giving lots of instructions about where arms, legs, hands, elbows, etc. should be.
I got my KS Yoga Tape at Target - less than $12 as I recall.
FWIW.
I'm also casting my vote - a completely punched chad for sure - that Cathe's new tape series will include flexibility and more core strength segments.
And, by the way you should know that tonight my DH ate three, 3, III, (yes three) - he would have had four but it was all gone - helpings of the left-over sweet potato dessert -- oops, I mean casserole. Thank You!!!!
