Chat Room???

OK - First let me say I've NEVER been in a chat room. I just went to this chat room and I'm not sure if I did anything right???? There is nobody in there and I typed a message to see what would happen, but of course, with nobody there I got no answer. Do I need to sign in somewhere? Or will the usernames appear if someone is there?

I feel quite silly, but I'm not getting this technology at all.

Marcia - There probably just wasn't anyone in there. It's usually pretty empty during the day. If there are other people there, you will see their screen names to the right of your screen. I think there is more activity in the evenings.

Be careful though, I went in and thought to start a conversation, not realizing there was a topic already being discussed, and was pretty much ignored after that.
People pretty much assume you know what is going on, but that was just my experience.

When I go in there is just a grey page with nothing. I am not that technologically advanced either.
