Charlotte, I'm glad you had some time like the old times with your MIL before her passing, I hope it helps to ease the sting of your family's loss. My MIL passed away this summer and the things I sorely miss are hearing stories about my DH as a boy and of her life as a girl and young woman. It's lovely that you parted on good terms.

Haydee I am so sorry for your loss. As much as your BIL was loved and cherished there is mercy in his beautiful soul's release from his broken body. Peace.

Thank you everyone for your prayers.

I heard about it this morning from my mother, who left me a message. And although I have not seen my BIL for some years, my heart sank.

DebbieH, no this was my sister's dh.

I spoke with my sister to see how she's holding up, she's trying her best to remember "The Good Times". My niece (21) is taking it very badly. As for my nephew (18) he is his very silent; he was with his father when he passed away.

My heart is aching now and I feel like crying. I don't know why. Maybe because I know of the STRUGGLES he & my sister was going through....financial wise and his family members not liking my sister. Aww man it was a BIG mess. I guess maybe too, he was my oldest daughter godfather. He was always laughing. I told my sister she's doing the best thing right now--remembering the good times. And she wants so badly to have her daughter remember her father as a good husband, provider & father because of how hard my niece is taking her father's passing.

I know we will all leave this world one way or another, but since God has blessed us with this day, and tomorrow is NEVER promised us, let's make the best of it and enjoy it to the fullest.

Kali, I told my sister the same thing, "his suffering is over and I think he is in a better place".
