Chapters and Pre-mixes

So far I've been doing the DVDs in full or in full segments ( all legs, chest, etc) - and BTW LOVE them---and now want to do mix and match. How do I save a chapter and then save another one that might be out of sequence to design my own workout?

Also.

I have not fully checked out premixes? How would you describe them? And when do you find them most useful?

Thanks so much in advance!

Premixes...

Cathe pulls segments from a workout into a new routine. Sometimes they are shorter in length. For example, if the routine is all weights, one premix might be all upper body, another all lower body. Sometimes it will be the entire workout but compiled differently. Premixes are awesome since they give you more workout options.

I'm not sure my DVD player can save chapters, so I only use that option to go to a certain segment in a routine, abs and stretch for example after using my treadmill.

Try a few premixes. I'm sure you'll love them.

Ok, sounds like pre-mixes are an extra bonus.. Are there just some DVDs that have them? And if so, which ones would you say have the best ones? I plug all kinds of Cathe's into my rotations, so I'd love to know which ones to check out- if I have them, or new ( always looking..) to purchase.

Tks,
Mary

Mary,

I have a 2007 Cathe catalog I keep around for reference and it looks like premixes were introduced in the Intensity Series. Almost all the newer DVDs have them, with the exception of Shock Cardio. Four Day Split probably has the largest variety of premixes. Drill Max, BM2, Low Impact Circuit and Butts & Guts (didn't see a name to that series) are a close 2nd IMHO.

To give you an example, Drill Max is a 72 minute circuit style workout. It contains 6 premixes ranging from 39 to 63 minutes. One is a cardio blast, another cardio & all upper body. If you look at specific DVDs on the site, it should provide that information. I use the premixes in BM2 and Butts & Guts the most.

Lisa,

Thanks so much!!! I've got all the three you mentioned- DM BM2 and B&G- and Never even looked at the premixes.. I'm so excited. It's like getting a whole bunch of new workouts! Defintely made my day!

Tks again,
Mary

Link to List of Premixes & Cathe Compendium

I love the premixes too! I hope it's not too late, but here's a link to the contents of some of her premixes & the Cathe Compendium that one of the members compiled awhile back. The compendium describes all Cathe DVD's and the equipment required so you can taylor your workouts to the equipment & DVD's you own or have available.
