Am I losing my mind(yes) or is the body blast series the only dvds that doesn't have chaptering.

I can't wait to try and figure that out.

I think I will really like this feature yea!! now to read my dvd player book}( :)

I know I could use the workout blender but can I use the workout blender for the same workout with segments of step blast and segments of sp&j. It wouldn't work for me
Help please LOL.

MANY MANY THANKS

:( :) ;-)

Debbie:) ;-)

Um, Debbie, I'm not exactly sure what you mean when you say the BB series don't have chaptering. They are chaptered more finely than any of her previous workouts. You cannot "workout blend" segments of more than one workout, unfortunately. You are correct in that to create your own multi-workout mish mosh, you need to program in each chapter title and number.

Hi Sandra

I am confused geez sorry I have been doing cathe wporkouts for a couple years now but never used her chaptering I have used the premixes.

for example when you go to the dvd with bootcamp
It has title # chapter # section and time

but I didn't see it yesterday when I was looking at the body blast dvds maybe I am making it more difficult than it is any help eould be appreciated.

If I wanted to do segments of step pump and jump and step blast in one workout how would I do that. Yesterday I went to sp&j and pushed no1 and then hit select and then the dvd starts playing but I wanted to add in more segments.

If this is to confusing my apoligies I bet this question deserves the rolling eyes at me LOL.

I am going to figure it out today if I can I think the premixes, chaptering and workout blender has many possabilities.

Thanks

Deb:)

It sounds like to me that if you want to do certain segments of a workout you select one and when that segment is over your dvd stops and you have to stop your workout and program the next segment in. I guess what I was trying to avoid was extra breaks with each segment to keep the old heart rate up.

Thank you

Deb:)

Many thanks everyone

You're referring to the mix 'n match feature, which is great, but I know what you're really asking for, and it is possible with these dvds. What you need to find out is what the title and chapter numbers are for the Body Blast workouts. Somewhere along the way, I discovered what they are, but I think I did it by previewing the workouts and watching the readout on my dvd player. My dvd player shows the title and chapter number on its little screen while the workout is playing. You don't actually have to watch the whole workout; just hit the "skip forward" button, and that will automatically move to the start of the next chapter. When going through your dvd manual, search for a way to display the dvd chapters; if it can't be seen on the player's display, then there may be a button to press that will display it on the television. Check it out. Then, get a pen and paper, watch the dvd's, and write them down. Voila! You will then be able to program your dvd player to play uninterrupted segments from all of the workouts on the dvd, no pauses in between.

Let me know how you do,
Sandra

Under DVD programing I got the chapters for the IS. I program the chapters I want at the begining and I don't have to do the mix&match. I use it the most with the Terminator DVD. No breaks in between having to stop and select is a lot better I think. When I got BB I couldn't find the chapters on the site. Which kinda ticks me off b/c I really like to play around with the chapters and go beyond the premix selections.

Deb,
If I understand what you're asking, the Chapter Menu is right under Play Program on the main menu. Is that what you're looking for? And then in the Chapter it lists all the combos and blasts.

Jo

Hi Jo yes I have been trying for the last 4 hours it isn't working darn

I can get the title and chapter on my screen when the workout is playing but I can't figure out how to add the next chapter to it I can't figure it out.

thanks Deb

I think I better stick to the premixes yikes

;(

I guess what I am trying to say is I can get one chapter to play but can't figure out how to add on say 4 more chapters it says nothing in my book.

If I can ever figure it out each time you want to do that workout with the same chapters does it have to be programmed in again?

boy I need a drink this time and I don't mean water this is wearing me out, LOL:) }( ;(

dEB

RE: chaptering? on dvds pretty please help (fiddlefit))

Well, it appears that you have found the chapter and title numbers, which is a great start. But you can't find a way to program them sequentially into your dvd player? Hmmmm, that may be a feature that your player is missing, unfortunately :-( On my player it's called the "memory" feature, and when I press the memory button, a screen pops up on the tv that allows me to put in the chapter and title numbers, then just press "start", and it all plays very smoothly. How disappointing that you may not have this on your player, but at least you have all those great premixes on the Body Blast series. I guess this is another reason to pressure SNM to continue putting premixes on their dvds, hey? Not everyone can create their own.

Take care,
Sandra

RE: chaptering? on dvds pretty please help (fiddlefit)...

Deb,

Is there a "program" button on your DVD remote? This lets you set up more than one chapter to play in a row. Once you hit the button it should switch you to a screen that lets you type in each title and chapter. (Here is where you'll need the list that LeAnne wrote since most players won't let you make a program from the chapter/menu screen.

It is also helpful to know the length of each chapter so that you don't program a 3 hour workout!:) Here are some links for the times. Hope this helps.

RE: chaptering? on dvds pretty please help (fiddlefit)...

Deb,

For my DVD player (a Sony), the directions for how to program in chapters to play one after another is under a heading of "Various play mode functions (Program play, Random play, Repeat play". Under the directions for Program Play, it tells which button to push on my remote control to get into the Program mode (on mine, the Repeat button, pushed when the DVD in stopped). From this screen, I can then select "Program" or "Random". I never would have guessed which button to use had I not seen the directions in the instruction book.

Hope you can find what to do with your DVD player. If not, there may be a phone number on the front or back of your DVD instruction book for Customer Service to help you figure out how to program chapters.

WOW THANK YOU AGAIN
I am looking ar my remote it has a program check button, repeat button, subtitle button,a button that says title, the last time it took me 4 hours and I gave up gritting my teeth. I have jvc dvd/vcr. I did get the book out but time to do it again. When you chapter in a workout can it be saved or do you have to do it each time?. I am not stressing but just curious. I need to get to my workout,it will be a cathe I am sure and then off to work.thank you so very much

:) It doesn't matter if my tv isn't hoked up to cable does it?. I just use it for exercise only and it is down in the basement. It is a year old so I am sure I can no I meant to say I will try again!!

Have a great day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Deb:) :) :D  ;)

RE: chaptering? on dvds pretty please help (fiddlefit)...

Deb,

On mine, I need to program it each time, and need to clear the program out if I want to use the whole workout or a premix. However, once you figure out how to do it, it wil probably be easy and quick to program it or clear it.

I would not think it would make any difference if it is or isn't hooked up to cable.
