Is Cedie Hipanic? I've been wondering about this for awhile. I have a friend "Mercedes" and she is.

My mom asked the same thing when I told her Cedie's real name was Mercedes. I wonder????

I was surprised to find out Lorraine is Puerto Rican.
 
I don't know about Cedie but that is surprising about Lorraine being Puerto Rican. Did she grow up there or in the US? I would love to hear how these ladies sound when they talk since they come into my home so often ;) I heard they had NJ accents, which I guess is not surprising, duh! Oh I hope I can go on the next one!!
 
Cedie had a strong NJ accent. Lorraine - not as much. Brenda didn't really have an accent that I could tell.

I can't remember for sure but I think Lorraine said she moved away from Puerto Rico at an early age.

Lorrayne made me so proud when she asked me if I was Marla Castellanos. I said I was & she said should looked down the Road Trip list looking for all the Hispanic names. She loves to know that there are Hispanic women out there that do work out. I completely understood since obesity contributes to significant high blood pressure and diabetes in the Hispanic population.

That's cool! My maiden name is Magallanes and I'm hispanic too!
I should have told her! I didn't know she was doing that. :p

BTW, I have a cousin named Mercedes. :)
 
Hi Mar! What a fun picture of us. I just happen to see this thread and thought I would let you know that Cedie is Italian. Please tell Susan and Montana that I said HI.

Mariela and runathon! *waves* LOL! Of all my years in these forums I've known about 2 Puerto Rican Catheites. With you two that makes us 5 haha! We're a little group, but a bit fanatical with our workouts ;-)

I understand about Lorraine not having an accent. I don't have a Puerto Rican accent either. I wonder if I ever had one and lost it. I'm not sure.

Ima, yes Cathe is German. I think she was born there and came to the US when she was young. (I have to read older threads to confirm that, but I'm pretty sure that's it.) Mercedes is a hispanic name, but I don't know if Cedie is actually hispanic. Jai's last name seems Greek, but I don't know anything about Jai either, only that I would love to have a body like that!:+

Oh and Dani woo hoo! Magallanes! That's awesome. We have a little bit of everything in these forums.

I forgot... Marla you too? Great! Wow I gotta get my booty to NJ if Cathe does a roadtrip next year so I can meet you all.

ETA Cathe thanks for sharing Jai's info too. I love the fact that the crew in the workouts is international :)
 
Hi Rose! Yes, I am German. Jai is Indian. How interesting to now learn that the name Mercedes is also Hispanic. I have only known it to be German, as in Mercedes Benz German car manufacturer. Take Care :)
 
Thanks Cathe for sharing the info about your crew. I did not think that Jai was Indian. For some reason I thought she was Hispanic. All your ladies are beautiful!

BTW, I thought the same about the names Mercedes :D
