Hope you don't mind I started another thread on today's BONUS CCPP Day!!!

I was up and on the bike by 6:15. I'm sitting here with my hair literally drenched and dripping. I went out to get the newspaper and my neighbor yelled out her window, asking if I showered in my clothes this morning! LOL Needless to say, IT ROCKED! 2 Saturdays in a row....I can get used to this! I logged 17 miles this time! WOO HOO!

I got Pump the other day also. Can't wait to try that out...may tomorrow. HMMMMMMM.

Oh.....may I tell you that Sean emailed me and asked for my 'permission' for him to contact me when and IF he decides to write a book? How is that for a teaser? lol

Gayle

I just did CC PP for the very first time today and I LOVE LOVE LOVED it !!!!!!!!

I used the TM and did it powerwalking (am not running these days due to my back) and it was a true SWEATFEST and a touching, emotional way to start the day !!!

Did I mention I loved it ??:p :7

I'm getting PUMP too.....can't wait !!}( }(

Becky

I'M HERE... I'M DONE! I was a bit slower today, because I'm having some trouble with my left hip, but it was a great workout, as always and I high fived y'all at the end!

And actually, I didn't do the BONUS CCPP day, I chose to do the BOUNS CCPP day... right Lorie? ;)

I just finished!!! I'm all sweaty and gross, but I finished and I'm drinking my Elvis Smoothie in celebration. Cheers!!! :D

It was super tough for me today, for some reason (I think it's because I have DOMS from doing CC Pump yesterday!), but I managed to match my PR, so I'm pleased. :)

Time to shower!!!

I love Cardio Coach. Please let me know the next time you do a group w/o. I would love to burn mega calories with you.

I just finished and feel great! Gayle...how exciting that Sean emailed you and I can't wait to hear more of he does decide to do a book!:) :)

All you early birds - wow! I haven't done it yet. I decided to get out and do yard work before the sun began to bake my yard. I'll do it a little later this afternoon and check back in. Way to go, y'all!

Yes Shells, it is BOUNS CCPP day! :)

Gayle-too cool that you may be in Sean's book!!! You're a star!

I did 8.2 (which is what I normally cover when I do it...I run on the treadmill) and then, for some crazy reason I decided that I would pause Sean and do the extra .90 mile. So...I did 9.1 miles today.

I am glad it's over. I am thinking tomorrow may be a rest day...

ETA:

TeTe-I was waiting a long time to get my download and sent Sean an email. I found out that my spam filter has thought it was spam and it was in the spam folder. Try that. Sean had said once he gets the email that you have donated, you should get it really soon. If it's been a long time, you might want to investigate. Mine had been in my spam folder the whole time.

Robin J.-this weekend was a bonus. We do it the last Saturday of every month. Come join us!

I'm done! I didn't set any records for distance traveled or calories burned, yet somehow this was one of my most satisfying PP attempts. I didn't sleep well last night -- I was so hot and uncomfortable. I woke up feeling sluggish and run down, but I knew that once I got started I would be transported to another place, that zone I fall into every time I do this workout. There's a spiritual quality to it that appeals to me, and just knowing that I was sharing it with all of you provided the little tweak I needed to get past my mental block.

Gayle, that's so exciting!! Please keep us posted as you hear more details about this book. Oh! I can say I "know" someone famous:+ :7

Becky and Cuz, I know this is your first CC PP experience and I was so happy to share it with you. And Shelley, I finally got to do it with you!! Cuz, I'll be checking in to see how you fared:)

Tete, Coach Sean has moved his business to the west coast so it might take a little longer for him to answer you. He's usually pretty prompt about sending the downloads. I hope you get it soon.

Hello and ^5's to everyone else. I can't say enough how much I love sharing the PP workout with each and every one of you. Have a nice weekend everyone.

Congratulations to you all!!

I didn't do it today, but I was really happy to read Becky's post. I'm going to download one today, and do it tomorrow.

I slept with my HRM on and took my HR first thing in the morning. It was fluctuating between 58-60, so I think I'll assume 60 is my resting HR.

I usually power walk on the treadmill and the time flies by because I listen to really motivating music and just pretend I'm at the disco. But I pretty much do the same thing each time, and, as far as I can tell from CC's website, I usually stay in zone 3-4 the whole time. I think it will be interesting to do some goal-oriented cardio for a change of pace, and maybe go for more than 40 mins?

Now, someone please tell me which one to download today. Keep in mind that I love loud, thumping, disco and rock, the Rolling Stones and the Who if that makes any difference? I'm a little scared of PP because I'm kind of a bleeding heart and I don't want to stop the TM for a good cry. ;)

Okay, I did it! It was great! It wasn't a tear-jerker like I expected - everything Sean and Jim said was very motivating and inspiring.

My elliptical said I burned just over 1300 calories, which breaks any record for any workout I've ever done on the elliptical. I know it may not be an accurate guide to real calories burned, but I use it as a marker.

I really loved it when he quoted Yoda: "Do. Or do not. There is no try." I gave threw a fist into the air, gave a big cheer and scared my dog. :7

I also loved it when I was climbing those hills and he started describing snow-capped peaks and a pine-scented cool breeze. I tried very hard to feel it... and felt very thankful for the air conditioning, since it officially hit 100 degrees in the shade today.

Gayle, that is so cool that you might be included in his book! Way to go!

Cuz, I was thinking of you the whole time. Thanks so much for convincing me to try CC! Sean doesn't just push me beyond my boundaries. He INSPIRES me to push myself. I never thought I'd ever be inspired on the elliptical. It's wonderful!

Nancy, the CCs that I own don't have that loud, thumping music - but I don't think you'll be disappointed. I had my doubts too, especially because I'm so used to exercising to video. All audio kind of worried me - how boring, with nothing to watch! Wrong. I think his music is wonderfully suited to exercise equipment - definitely for the stride and pace on my elliptical. You'll just have to experience it for yourself.

I have CC 5 and both of the 6's. I haven't tried 5 yet - that's next. 6 with Candace is probably the toughest cardio workout I've ever done in my entire life. I was totally drained ... and totally thrilled! ... when I finished it. 6 with Sean is really good to, but not as hard as Candace.

Hey, Shannon. I have to agree that I was also worried when I purchased my first CC workout. I put the TV on and muted it, plugged in my mp3 player on my head, and didn't even GLANCE at the screen, lol.

Gayle

Hey Gayle - you know, I actually close my eyes sometimes while I'm pedaling! Sometimes I need to pull up a little extra from within during a CC. Whew!

CUZ!!! I'm so glad you liked it, and I knew you would -- I just knew it! I was skeptical at first, too. Cardio workouts don't hold much attraction for me, but all that changed after my first CC experience. It's amazing to me how quickly the time passes when I'm in the zone with Coach Sean. Cuz, I think you summed it up best when you said that he inspires you to push yourself. That's it, that's exactly what he does.

So, are we on for Saturday, 8/25!? :D :D :D

ETA just out of curiosity, has anyone tried the PUMP workout besides me? I LOVED it. :D

I reviewed it on the Cardio Coach forum if anyone is interested.

Hi Everyone,

I've never done CC, but I'm interested. I have a treadmill and a stationary bike (recumbent? incumbent? I forget what it's called, but it's the type that is set up like a paddleboat?) Would my bike work with these workouts? I'm looking for new motivation in my cardio. I've been fizzled out lately and can't squeeze into my clothes as a result...also, when you say "didn't even glance at the screen"...is this something with video pic? Just curious..!

> I did PUMP this morning...loved it...but I knew I would

Tammy, I thought you would like it. Now I wish he'd hurry up and release Vol 7 already:D :D :D

Reese, the Cardio Coach workouts are audio only that you download onto your MP3. You can get them on CD, too. They'd be great for both your treadmill and bike, and very motivating. You can listen to clips on the website at www.cardiocoach.com. HTH:)

CUZ!! Heck yes, we're on for 8/25! And I've got CC 5 planned for this week! Yahooo!!!!!!

My experience wasn't very good. I went online and did the donation and forwarded it to CC around 8:00 am, thinking that since it said I'd get it in two hours the timing would be perfect for starting my workout no later than 10:00 ( I had a hair appt. at 12:30). Well, I still hadn't received a download or any kind of response at 10:00, so I e-mailed again, to make sure they'd received my first e-mail; I waited until 11:15 and sent them another e-mail saying how disappointed I was. I had psyched myself up so much for a guided elliptical workout that I went on iTrain and bought one of theirs, which got to me within seconds.

An e-mail from CC finally came around 2:00 saying they had sent my download at 9:11 am and that maybe it was in my junk or spam folders (which, of course, I had checked before e-mailing them about the problem). A few minutes after that, the missing download arrived. I have no idea why their e-mail had such a difficult time getting to me when PayPal, Choose Living, and iTrain didn't experience any problems at all.

The good news is that I really like iTrain. I wasn't able to do the whole workout because I was cutting it short to make my appointment and do errands, but I'll probably do the whole thing today. And, at least I gave a donation to a good cause. I'll do the CC, of course, I'm just not sure if I'll use them again since I liked the iTrain one so much and theirs are so much cheaper.
