CCPP Saturday!!

Oh, Michele, I'm so glad to hear that your DFIL is doing better! I'll still keep him in my thoughts and prayers.

I'm going to attempt CCPP this Saturday, but I'm a little nervous since I haven't done any CC workouts for the last three weeks, since starting P90X. I hope I can make it!

I'll ready and willing for CCPP Saturday!

Michelle, so good to hear your FIL is doing better....all of the prayers are working!:)

I have some good news! My DFIL's surgery has been canceled, at least for the time being. He had a toe amputated 5 weeks ago and the incision wasn't healing, but FINALLY, as of yesterday, we can see some new healthy tissue forming so the surgeon decided to take a wait-and-see approach. He will probably go to an extended care facility as soon as a bed is available. He's still very confused and we haven't been able to find a cause or a remedy for that. Thanks for all the prayers and good thoughts. It helps more than I can say. :)

That's great news, Michele!! I'm happy to hear that!

I will try to join in, but I'll be doing the elliptical this time. I've been dealing with what I have found out is achilles tendonitis so I'm going to PT til next week to heal up. At least I am cleared for the elliptical still!!!! :p

CCPP Saturday! Woo Hoo!

I'm in. Bonus challenge included.

Miss Lee, I'm sending positive and healing vibes to your FIL. I'll dedicate my workout to him too.

Becky

Michele - Great news about your FIL!!!

Jess_jugs - Sorry about your achilles tendonitis. I hope you heal soon. But I must tell you I actually prefer CC on the elliptical. Something about those hill climbs - you can just really feel the burn in your buns!!! I always feel so strong. And as for the sprints - I can get my HR to 190!

I've had CCPP for a while now and have yet to try it. Perhaps this is my calling though I'm beyond frightened!

See ya in the work out!:D

Wendy... lil' Tigger -- don't be frightened. I'll be there, too, and everything will be okay -- LOL!!! I'm SO excited that you're doing your first PP Saturday!!!!!!!

Suz - I think the elliptical is the perfect cardio machine for CC. I can't imagine doing something like Vol 8 on anything BUT the elliptical! Well, maybe a bike, but I could NEVER do it on a dreadmill.

Jess - I'm so sorry about your Achilles tendinitis. I'm sending healing vibes on the back of my prayers for you. Before this is over you'll be wanting to buy your own elliptical and I'll be standing by to help you pick one out -- LOL!!!

Leanne -- Don't worry, you'll do GREAT!

Lisa, Becky, EVERYONE -- thanks again. You're all so thoughtful, it's kind of overwhelming. It seems like I've been awfully needy lately, too.

You guys, I'm wondering... should we post about PP Saturday on Sean's wall? Maybe I will -- who knows, we might attract some PP newbies! :D

Thanks, Michele! The PT has really helped this week and I'm feeling better already!! She said I could probably try to run again next week!! I'm just trying to be patient... NOT my strong suit!! :p I don't have the room (or money) for an elliptical, but I go to the Y to swim so I use the elliptical/ treadmill there. Maybe some day though...

Thanks, Suz! I did CCPP last month running outdoors w/ a lot of hills and I think that was the start of my achilles tendonitis again... it's been a recurring problem. So... the elliptical it is! And w/ the PT, I should be back to running AND not have the AT return!!! :D

Awww thanks for the warm welcome, Michele!
Tigger!? Holy cow, I haven't heard that one in a while! :D
Just so you know, if I don't survive CCPP I am leaving explicit instructions with my DH to come after YOU cause it's all your fault! You left me no choice but to adore Coach Sean! :p;):D

I'm not the least bit worried! I mean geez, if I can do Press Play WITH the added bonus, then YOU can, too!! After all, I'm an old woman -- LOL!!

Hey you guys, I posted about PP on Sean's Facebook wall. It feels kind of lonely there. I'd love it if someone else would post on it, too. :D

Now Listen here Mis- Wendy-Tigger -Girl. If you can run an 18 mile race, you can do CCPP!

I do it ( CCPP) most months and I have never run as many as 18 miles in one attempt before.

BTW I will have to push this month's CCPP to Monday. since I am out of town with unfamiliar terrain and no cardio equipment.

Michele- Blessings to your FIL and DH and your clan!

Hey Michele and the rest of the CC-PP Cathe Girls!!!

I'll head over to FB and write a line or two

See Ya in The Workout!

I'll be joining you all on Saturday. We'll see about the challenge. I have a bunch of chores to complete for a small birthday party we are having for my DGS on Sunday.

Kathy, sorry to hear about family woes, but I'm glad you'll be joining us.

Tig/Wendy, I'm LOL at the idea of you not being about to do CCPP. Of course you can, you silly!

Michele, guess I'll wander over to Sean's wall...

See everyone Saturday (or your day of choice.)

While I soooo appreciate the encouraging words, I truly think that CCPP will prove TOUGHER then the 18 miler.

Me thinks me's gonna die this weekend!:p

Hi folks!

Thanks for the welcome back, everyone! I am so glad to be back, and very very very glad that all the family matters (all extended family -- my college boys and DH and I are great) worked out fine!

I gotta tell ya, HUGE hat's off to y'all who can do CCPP running. I don't run very often (knees ... what can I tell ya?), but I have to confess that when I do it is NEVER CC. Somehow the music -- which I love -- doesn't match my cadence, and I'm funny about that. Plus -- well, it would flat-out kill me. ;) I cannot imagine EVER being fit enough, knees or no knees, to run CCPP!

So I do all my CC on my elliptical trainer, which I really love. Looking forward to tomorrow, y'all! :D

I'm done!

I just did it because my DH is off tomorrow (I HOPE!) and I am not sure what we will be doing. I just didn't want to take the chance that I'd miss it sooo off I went. And, I have to say, I am glad it's over! :p Whew, I jogged it plus added the extra challenge. (Only thing...I forgot I lost my download for Volume 6 when our computer crashed a few weeks ago and I don't have the CD for that workout! :-( Sooo, I just backed up to the last 4 minute challenge in the CCPP workout & jogged a four minute hill. It worked out just fine. ) The legs are talking to me right now. I have a feeling when we go out to eat tonight, I am going to have trouble getting up afterwards without looking like I am crippled. Wendy, woo-hooo on joining us! You will do just fine...it isn't a walk in the park, but it IS much easier then a marathon I am sure. Michele, wonderful news about your FIL. I hope his foot continues to heal and no major surgery is required. Hugs & prayers to you all. Kathy, yeah on being back in the swing. I know it's been a tough several months for you. Cynthia, great job. It's nice to know we made it! LOL! Good Luck everyone and I'll wave to you as you all pass by! C U in the workout!
