Am I looking at the wrong thing, because the CC website description says that it's a short series of hills? Level 2 hill for one minute, Level 3 hill for 2 minutes, Level 4 hill for one minute...:confused:

Yep, the bonus challenge for October is Vol 6 CH 3. I'm dedicating my workout to my DFIL and DH. My poor FIL has been in the hospital for 5 weeks and will undergo a 3rd surgery this week -- an amputation of his foot from the mid calf level. :( Your thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated.

Just as a reminder, November's bonus is Vol 6 CH 2.

December's is to be decided by Coach Sean :D

January's is Vol 3 CH 1 per Mama Deb!!

Shelley, it's a fast hill and it's only 4 minutes. You can easily make this a sprint if you want too. :)

The November and January bonus challenges are sprints!! :D

Thank you Shelley. That's why I haven't been around so much. I've been spending a lot of time at the hospital. :(
We were posting at the same time so I want to make sure you saw my post -- that the challenge is a fast hill and one you can easily sprint. ;)

Shelley - I think that challenge is not like the usual hill challenge. I hoof it at a lower hill incline on the TM so sort of like a sprint but with more of an incline than usual. It is not one that I see as a usual hill challenge.

Shana, you described that challenge perfectly. It's not a steep hill and the music is pretty fast. I guess it's a trek. I love it, whatever it is. V6 is one of my favorites! :D
 
I'm back - can I join in?

Hey y'all! I have been totally absent from the Forums all fall (did anybody notice??) due to a little cascade of family emergencies that had me going non-stop for weeks. All's well now, finally, I am thrilled to say, and I would love to do CCPP Saturday -- I missed it in August AND September due to what all was going on in my crazy life!

See you all on Saturday morning in the workout!! :D
 
I did this yesterday because I'm leaving tomorrow for the beach with my Dh:D

I wanna play! So I admit I haven't seen this before. :eek: Do I need to know anything special? See you in the workout? Does that mean something? Sorry for sounding silly.

Michele - I still remember you waaaay back being the ultimate cardio hater until you fell madly in love with Sean. :D He can turn anybody around, can't he? I'm sorry about your FIL. I'll keep him and your DH (and you) in my prayers.

ETA: I'm doing this instead of KenpoX since I want some kick butt cardio!
 
Shellbell -- you're right -- whichever Cardio Coach workout I'm doing at the time is my favorite. :D Well geez, I can't help it!! :p

Kathy -- I'm so sorry for the turmoil you've been through. Thank goodness it's behind you, and just in time for Press Play Saturday!! WOO HOO!!! :D

Cynthia -- I'm so jealous!! I hope you have a wonderful time on your vacation! And I hope you're taking a laptop with you so you can pop in and say hello from time to time! :D

Suz -- Sean made a cardio lover out of me. Have you noticed that we changed the name of our check-in group from Haterville to Smileyville? I mean, will wonders never cease!? BTW, I'll see you in the workout is one of Sean's tag lines. ;)

I have some good news! My DFIL's surgery has been canceled, at least for the time being. He had a toe amputated 5 weeks ago and the incision wasn't healing, but FINALLY, as of yesterday, we can see some new healthy tissue forming so the surgeon decided to take a wait-and-see approach. He will probably go to an extended care facility as soon as a bed is available. He's still very confused and we haven't been able to find a cause or a remedy for that. Thanks for all the prayers and good thoughts. It helps more than I can say. :)
