CCPP - How'd you do?

allwildgirl

Cathlete
For reasons I won't go into here for fear of making you all gag, I only did the Vol. 7 challenge this morning, so I shall do the entire thing again tomorrow.

How did everyone else fare?

I did the CCPP + challenge yesterday because of scheduling conflicts. It was awesome!

I added the challenge after the warm up. After that added challenge I looked at the time and thought that I almost had a whole workout in already and yet still had all of CCPP to do. Didn't know if I could do it, needless to say by the end I could have pumped out a couple more miles (yes even after 91 mins!). In fact I did do about 2.5 more miles because I took my dog for a walk after CCPP. I was pleasantly exhausted and it felt wonderful!

That's awesome!! It gives me hope -- lol! Although I don't know why I say that because I've completed PP with the bonus challenge each time we've done it. I'm just getting ready to do my workout now. I've been waiting for my Nasonex to kick in -- lol! It's the damn ragweed!

Hey! I did not add on the extra challenge, but I made it through all of ccpp, and believe me, for the first half, there was a lot of doubt that I would! I have been super tired lately (Cathe's rotation this month, start of school, perhaps?) and I made the mistake of having a glass (one stinking glass!) of red wine last night. At 35 minutes in, I really was thinking of quitting. At 45 minutes in, I thought, "this wasn't so bad -- it's almost done!". Amazing how getting over that hump makes all the difference! Happy Saturday everyone!

-Beth

I did mine yesterday because I didn't think I would have time today. I wore my road trip bracelet and it was so amazing visualizing all my Cathe friends and Press Play Peeps all out doing the same thing this weekend. Then this morning I went out for another jog and listened to the first 1/2 of CCPP. I did the hills by running on the bleachers at the track since my route was flat and that was a killer.

Jean

HI CCPP fans.

Shelly good luck tomorrow!

Michele how did it go?

Jean good job! The bleachers must have added a new challenge by themselves!

Way to go Beth! I like the feeling after 45minutes too!

I used the a semi recumbent stationary bike as my weapon of choice. And it went well. Instead of the added challenge (I was pressed for time) I made the last 4 minute challenge at level 3 stretch into an 8 minute challenge with consistent speed. In 70 minutes I clocked in 23.7 miles on the bike. I am pleased.

And this was good timing since I had PMS food choices this past week, that were um something I am NOT proud of.:eek::eek::eek:

I did it!

I just finished a minute ago except for the stretch, which I intend to do as soon as I'm done here. I've got the stretch from V7 cued up and I believe I've earned my rest on the beach with our Coach.

About an hour into the workout I was seriously out of steam. At that point Sean was talking about the difference between choosing life and choosing living. Those words came at just the right moment for me. I started thinking about our dear Tanya in the hospital (from the CC forum), and Debbie running in the rain, and Jacque's nephew, and Cyndi facing Gustav, and Jim MacLaren, and I couldn't -- WOULDN'T -- give in.

I put CH 1 from V7 at the end because I wanted it as my reward. I LOVE the music in that one and it always makes me want to dance. I started out strong but had to ease up my effort in the middle, but in the very last trek when Sean said, "taking back level 3 just one more time in this challenge!", I shot off like a rocket and went for the big finish!

Judy -- AWESOME job today on your workout!!

Jean -- Holy cow! You went for another jog today after doing PP the day before!? That's truly remarkable! I have the same feeling you do about this workout, and feeling the connection with my Cathe/Cardio Coach friends. I still get choked up over this workout.

Beth -- My hump came at the 54 minute mark -- lol! Great job!!

Lisa -- Thank you so much for the well wishes and the cheerleader! I adore smilies -- lol! :D

Good luck everyone!! I'm sending out all the PP vibes I can muster.

Hooray for everyone! You guys have all done an awesome job!

Michele - I'm fine. My SO and I ran the Vol. 7 Challenge outside and let's just say that I really HATE people who don't pick up after their dogs. It took me 20 minutes and some bleach to clean my shoe and by that time I was in no mood and my shoe was soaking wet. So I'll do the whole thing again tomorrow, because SO LOVED running the challenge outside (he's a new runner and it worked out to just about 3 miles, which was perfect for him).

Shelley - sorry you had that happen! That is so gross to not pick up after your dog. It may not feel like it at the time of picking up the poop, but there is great dignity in doing that!!

To anybody - I can't remember which part of 7 we are doing. Help with the ol' memory, please  Thank you!

Hey there Shana Banana!!!

It's CH 1!

I LOVE that challenge!!!

Oh Shelley!! Woudn't you just love to find that jerk and return the gift? I'm so sorry your PP workout was sabotaged. I look forward to the day when my DH will do PP with me. He just started using CC. :D

Oooooooh my, what a workout! My legs were a quivering mess when I got done, but I did it!

I came very close to not doing it, though. I got on the elliptical and started warming up, but my knees felt very weird, like the pedaling was putting the wrong kind of pressure on them. I got off and reluctantly popped in a step workout. By the time that warmup was done, 1) my knees felt good and 2) I realized that I simply was not in the mood for step. I wanted my Cardio Coach! So back onto the elliptical I climbed, and all was well.

I felt really good, and really proud of myself. That's a heck of a long cardio session! I kept thinking that if the runners out there can knock out 7 or 8 miles at a time, I could stay on the elliptical for just.. a... few... more... minutes.

And Michele, I thought a lot about Tanya, too. She's endured so much and has kept such a great attitude throughout. She exemplifies all the things Coach Sean says in his workouts. Will you exend your invitation for her to select the next month's challenge?

Hi Everyone!:D

I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to do CCPP today. I wasn't feeling up to par this morning, so I waited and I did it and felt great. I took it easy until I got to the 2nd challenge. I still get choked up too and am so thankful to be able to participate in this.

I dedicated my workout to Tanya(I don't know her but I am sorry she is in the hosptial) and Jacque's nephew too. (so sorry)

Great job everyone! :)

Ahhh another CCPP w/ add on completed!

I basically did all my gushing about today's workout over on my blog :p

Overall I just love CCPP days here! I feel all the collective energy and then some.

My energy level has been very low lately in preparation for Mother Nature's monthly giftie to me here soon so mid way into the 5th challenge I started feeling 'green' & ready to puke but kept on moving.

Found my energy once again and hit it hard when I heard the wonderful guitars in V7's 1st challenge.

What an outstanding workout!

Shelley thanks for suggesting today's add on! It pulled me through so I can complete those 91 minutes.

I couldn't do it today. I just couldn't. I'm sorry. I don't feel well and I'm in a bit of a funk. I slept almost all day and when I finally got up I was in the mood to do B&G. I'll try and do PP tomorrow. I'm not makin' any promises on the challenge add-on, though...

Great job to all that made it through today! I love reading everyone's posts about how they did and felt during it!

Now, I'm going out for dinner, and I'm having something ooey, gooey, and chocolaty for dessert! :D

Just finished - I started with the extra challenge because I wanted to do it on my stepmill and knew that I would need the extra zip for that! Finished the rest on the TM except for the last challenge, which I went back to the stepmill for. Loved it and so glad I did it! Now for a shower...

I didn't make CCPP Saturday today. My workouts the past two days have been more functional than choregraphed, as we have been working in the yard doing some spontaneous, minor -- but heavy -- landscaping. Between the heat and humidity and just plain being a desk jockey and not used to manual labor, I'm beat! I'm resting tomorrow since I'm starting a new rotation on Monday, so I'm sorry to have to pass this month. But I'm happy to get the yard work done, and also very happy that even though I'm sore in some places, my body has held up very well. My back, which is often a concern, is great thanks to having made it and my core stronger.

Well, I finally did it. I just finished. I skipped the additional challenge though. I didn't have it in me. I'm exhausted.

I ran a total of 77 minutes and logged 8.20 miles. Yay me! I was doggin' it, though. This was tough for me today!!
