I don't see this one started yet, so here I go.

Took mine outside today. When I woke up the sun was shinin', the birds were singin' and the breeze was breezin'. Too nice to be in the basement on the elliptical. There was no extra challenge for me today. At challenge 4, it started to sprinkle (where did that come from????? it was sunny) and at 5 it started to RAIN!!! I don't mind the rain, but the wind started to whip up and I was close to home and didn't want to add on and get stuck in a storm. So I finished up and called it a day. Getting zapped by lightening is not on my to do list today. Of course, by the time I came in, got a drink and a shower, it was sunny again! Ahhhh, I love Chicagoland weather. If you don't like it, stick around a few minutes, it'll change:p:D

So, I ended up at 69 mins, and 5.3 miles. I am the worlds slowest runner. When I do CC outside, I walk the recoveries, so that does effect my pace. I normally run about 5.5-6 mph, today broke down to 4.6 or so. The walking obviously affects the overall pace. Funny thing is, I walk about 4 mph!!! I'm a fast walker and a slow runner. *sigh*

But, I'm done, and it was fun!!!! Yay!!!! Off to run errands. Happy Saturday, everyone!

Nan

I just finished. I added the 10 kickbox blasts from KM:eek:
I'm drenched and need a hose!
What a great way to start the day:D:D

Hope everyone has a great day!!!

Nan and Cynthia, you girls ROCK!!!

I just got up . I'm meeting my DH out for breakfast and then I'll be doing my workout this afternoon.

Have a good one, everybody!! :D

I am with you on that one. I like to sleep in. And I am never ready to immediately workout in the AM!! I will be happy to be finished by 3 today, but it may not happen. I have to be finished early though b/c I can't do it tonight.

I am back and I am totally drenched! It was just the dogs and I today. I didn't think I was going to be able to make it. We had to run against the wind and then it started getting hot   We did 7.8 miles. Our bonus challenge was challenge 3 from vol. 6 two times - oy!!!

Running against the wind for the first half and still coughing a bit from last week's cold definitely effected my speed and breathing capacity. I had to do more recovery walks than usual and got an additional arm workout from dragging the dogs behind me after challenge 4.

But thinking about our combined energy and focusing on all of our friends who are going through challenging times made this workout very special and made me reach into reserves that I didn't think I had  Christine (andtckrtoo), Lisa (Shelley's friend), Lori (Laughing_Water)'s DH, Becky's DH Mike, Ellie's son, Lori's (Reese777) Dad and my special friend Michele, this workout was for you!!!!

All right kids, I better sneak out and jump in the shower before I stink up the place - pfew :p

Great workout everyone!

Mine is done also! I haven't checked in at Cathe for a few days so didn't know if a bonus challenge was picked, so I just did my own :p

I did CCPP on my bike and added C1 and C5 from the CCPP workout (cannot remember the exact locations of those in the real workouts ) It was a great workout and my legs are fried!!!

Great job everyone -- especially to you that run/jog it! I have tried doing CCV1 jogging and it is close to torture ;)

Have a wonderful day! :D

Hey, everyone!

Just got done doing CCPP on my spin bike. I didn't add an extra challenge since my bad knee starts to act up after an hour, but I dedicated my workout to all the wonderful Cathletes who need support! :D

Great job everyone! I had a great CCPP and for my bonus DH and I did an hour hike on the trails at our local state park. My legs are fried

I finished just a little bit ago. I took it outside too. It was a chilly 40 degrees this morning, but the crisp air seemed to rejuvinate me. I got 8 miles in exactly.

I did the 4th challenge from PP as my bonus. I just love hills... plus it's short. ;)

I did my workout for Shelley's friend Lisa, Christine and her DH, Lori's DH, Nan's DH, Ellie's DS, Lori's dad, 2-year-old Brayton, my DH and as always... for Jim McLaren. And for everyone else here who is facing challenges.

Michele and Carola... you were especially in my thoughts today. You have made this check-in so warm and welcoming and I am so touched with your thoughts for my dear Mike (who is having a rough day today :(). God bless you and your amazing hearts.

And God bless everyone here.

Here's to the collective positive energy!

Peace,

Becky

Congratulations to everyone for getting this done today or this weekend, from the cold weather climes to the hot! Following through on my decision to do this today was a victory in itself since, as expected, my legs are really sore from yesterday's STS workout. They have gone from the post-workout spaghetti legs to the next day's concrete blocks! But my challenges are nothing compared to what so many are facing and I reminded myself of that as I pushed through. Have a great weekend everyone!:D

Done, finished, ahhhhhhhhhh......:p

I started with warm up, steady 1 and challenge 1 on the bike for 6 miles, then TM for 2 and 3 and cool down (at the end, of course) for a total of 1.8 miles, arc trainer for 4 and 5 for .75 miles and then the extra challenge was challenge 2 from vol 8 on the stepmill for 1.9 miles. Total time was 1:35 and calorie burn was 931 - Max HR 175, avg HR 150.

Way to go, everyone!!

Shana,

I never considered switching equipment during CC. That's a great idea!!!!
I'm going to try that next time:)

Good morning!! I'm about a day late to the check-in -- we have a lot going on this weekend and I haven't had a chance to post before now, but I had a GREAT workout!!! It was really hot yesterday so I turned my AC down low and aimed 2 fans on my elliptical, not to mention the ceiling fan that was on full blast! I looked like I was caught in a wind tunnel -- LOL!!! I did 200 kettlebell swings for my bonus challenge and that was really fun!! I think I'll do that more often. It definitely keeps your HR up -- WAY up!

Becky - what a lovely thing to say! I'm so sorry Mike was having a rough day. I hope things are looking up for him today. Did your friends do the workout!? I hope you can convince them to check in with us.

Nancy - I am in total AWE of you! I really can't believe you did PP after an STS leg workout!

^^5's to everyone for a GREAT PP workout!!!

I dedicated my workout to everyone facing a challenge, and most especially to Carola, Becky's Mike, Ellie's DS, Shelley's friend, Christine, Reese's dad, and Lori's DH... and the list goes on. :)

I finally got CCPP done, whew! No added challenge for me this time. In fact I almost didn't do it but with everyone else checking in it pushed me to "just do it" (sometimes we need that push!) As usual once I got going I wondered why I had such a hard time getting started!

Thanks Michele for keeping us all on track since the end of the month always seems to sneak up!

Whew! Done! For my extra challenge I did the original Boot Camp Cardio Only Premix. Whoa! And I even did the Terminator mountain climber squat thrust thingies! Yikes!:eek:

I dedicated my workout to all of the Catheites and their friends and family who are experiencing personal and medical challenges. Prayers and healing thoughts going out to everyone!

Cynthia, if you're around, I thought about you during that premix. I forgot there were sumos in there!!!!

I gotta go hop in the shower...busy day today, so I will read everyone else's results later when I get a chance. Great job everyone!:D

I'm going to try that next time:)

It is the only way I maintain my sanity!! I think I did it once on just one machine and nearly lost my mind. Apparently, I am a girl who needs much variety in life :D It is really a neat way to do it though for your muscles b/c it keeps them guessing. Let me know what you think. Sometimes, I will do stepmill only on CC#1 and I think I've done 2 that way too, or maybe it was 3. Otherwise, I am switching it all up with CC - makes it like a game!

I've considered switching from the bike to the treadmill but then I thought the padded bike shorts would feel like a diaper when I ran. I can't ride the bike without them and I can't easily get them over my shoes, what's a girl to do?

I just did CCPP today on the bike. Great workout !
Don't know if it counts as an extra challenge or not (probably not) but I added on Amy Bento's abs #1 &2 .

Good going everyone on those "real" extra challenges! :cool:YOU ROCK!!!

Lisa - I do fine without the shorts as long as the time on the saddle isn't too long. Plus, I wear the Harlot shorts when I do wear bike shorts and that diaper feeling is not there. You feel that they are different but there is no waddling going on!!

Well, my plan was to do my challenge on Saturday but then I was sidelined late Friday night with a migraine. So, I as I have been out of commission since then (especially for high intensity cardio!) and I am just recovering from this headache, I plan to do my my CCPP tomorrow! I'm was really disappointed since this was my first time! WHAH! Well better late than never!
