Saturday night
Hi ladies. I hope everyone is having a nice relaxing weekend. I've done absolutely nothing today.
I'm feeling kind of blah so I didn't even work out.
It might have something to do with getting back home at 2:30 in the morning from my son's game.
Which they lost by the way.
I felt like the Round Valley team had an advantage because they play in an enclosed dome and on artificial turf. Our guys aren't used to playing on that and there were a few who got hurt. Since they lost they won't have a home playoff game now which means another long trip in a couple of weeks when the playoffs start (probably Holbrook or Round Valley again it looks like.
Rhondalyn: I didn't know you had Insanity! I think Pure Cardio is the hardest one I've done so far (I haven't tried any of the Max ones yet) I know what you mean about the warm-up. It alone is harder than most workouts.
Good job with getting back on track! I keep trying and my DH keeps sabotaging me!
Today he went to the Harvest Festival and brought back ribs, burritos, salsa, fudge, kettle korn, pumpkin bread, peanut brittle, and homemade jellies. If that's not sabotage I don't know what is!
It all tasted so good though.
Where did you see the photos from the Daytona RT? I wonder if the success (or non-success) of this one will determine the fate of the other ones they have planned. Sorry you're having trouble with your ticker.
Nancy: Good for you pushing through your workout! I know what you mean about those boots (obnoxious is a good word for them
) Chalene does has some rather flashy outfits in CLX. Are you tired of the warm-up yet? You would think she would change it up just a little bit.
I took the Coronado Trail up to Springerville for the game (I picked my mom up in Clifton on the way) Have you ever been on that road? It took me 4 hours to get there on that twisty (scary sometimes too) highway. I just read an article about it that says the Federal Highway Administration considers this the curviest road in the nation. It has around 450 switchbacks and a 6000 foot elevation change. Needless to say we took a different route home (through New Mexico and Mule Creek... not much better).
Lisa: Good luck with WW! I hope you have great success.
I'm glad to hear you got a great workout in today. DH and I watched
Valkyrie a few weeks ago. I used to really like Tom Cruise but I can't seem to get into his movies too much anymore. Another good movie we saw about WW2 and Germany was
The Boy in the Striped Pajamas. That movie was really sad.
I think my hair is going to be OK. Like
Lisa said, I just need to get used to it. It takes her a long time to color my hair. I have really thick hair so I'm used to 3-4 hour long appointments.
ETA:
I wanted to post a link regarding the highway I drove yesterday to the football game:
