Cathe's Workouts!!

I bought my first Cathe DVD, Cardio Hits from Collage Video in December, 2002 and fell in love with the workouts! Once I signed on to this website...I was in love once again. I don't know how she does it but the videos are fantastic!

Since then I have bought CTX, Rhytmic Step/IMAX/MIC DVD, Circuit Max/Cardio Kicks DVD and Classics DVD! I am hooked! I'm working my way up to the Intensity Series. I can't wait to wake up every morning at 6:00 am to do my hour with Cathe.

I belong to a gym but have not gone since doing these videos. I don't believe any instructor can "work you out" like her. I have Karen Voight, Kathy Smith, Donna Richardson, The Firm, Minna Lessig and others but have not reached for them since buying these tapes, with the exception of Karen Voight's Circuit Training DVD. However, the workout felt too "easy" (which it isn't) after working out with Cathe. My fitness level has really increased over the past 6 weeks. I did the three week rotation with CTX and had excellent results.

My goal is not to lose weight but I have noticed a change in my body (much tighter) since using these DVDs. This is amazing given the fact that I have always been active, have been working out (at a gym) since 1989 and I am 36 years old. I also appreciate the fact that Cathe has had 2 children and design her workouts based on "bouncing back" after baby has changed our bodies. I have one child (age 5)!

Please, please keep up the good work!

I liked your post. It was encouraging. I now have all of Cathe's tapes but I'm just getting back into the groove after working out at a gym, which I got bored with. I'm start Cathe's 10 Week CTX/PS on Mar 9. I will take it easy.

If you have a rotation that worked for you, please share.

I totally agree with you. Cathe is all I reach for these days too. I'm always thinking about getting home and starting my workout.

I used CTX for three weeks...on the seventh day I worked out to one of the other pure step workouts (Step Fit/Power Max/Step Works). I also inserted the 20 minute Winsor Pilates (Advanced Slimming) DVD on Saturday and/or Sunday.

Since I have purchased more Cathe videos my current two week rotation includes alternating Circuit Max / Cardio Kicks / Rhytmic Step / IMAX / MIC / Step Jam / Step Heat /S tep Max. After that I will repeat the CTX for three weeks. I just completed IMAX today and was pleasantly surprised regarding the intensity.

My final challenge will be the Intensity Series...I can't wait to start that program in May.

Any other questions/suggestions?
 
It's amazing how encouraging and inspiring it is to work out with Cathe every day. Even the so called "classics" are more advanced than what is currently on the market. I really think her videos will stand the test of time. Just like purchasing anything that is classic.....!
