Cathe's most athletic least "dancy" workouts

Cathlete
I am new to Cathe and new to step, but not new to working out, and I am looking to move up to Cathe ;) and I am not the most coordinated girl around

Could someone recommend to me some of Cathe's more athletic workouts or at least not so dancy workouts....lol

Thanks

Drill Max, for sure. It's a tough circuit workout that mixes weights and athletic drills. Some of the drills use the step. It's really fun.

Also, and I don't have this one, but there is a DVD with Bootcamp and Muscle Endurance, two separate workouts. I'm not sure if Bootcamp uses the step at all, but it's more athletic. It's a circuit also.

I agree with Drill Max and Bootcamp/Muscle Endurance dvd. Her purely step workouts, I'd say the original Interval Max (available with 2 other workouts on one dvd), Interval Max 2. (on the IM2/Cardio&Weights dvd). Then there's Kick Punch & Crunch (with Legs & Glutes on one dvd).

Powermax and the step workouts she made around that same time are very athletic, not dancy at all. Love Powermax! You might try Lowmax also because the bulk of the work takes place during the blasts that work the legs like there's no tomorrow. The step routines in between the blasts are there just to let you work the lactic acid out of the quads before the next blast and they are not difficult at all, a total lack of intricacy.

None of Cathe's "dancy" routines are really all that dancy, not when you compare her easy-t-pick-up choreography to that of Amy Bento, Susan Zieger, and a whole bunch of others.

I can't pick up the choreography of the ladies named above, but none of Cathe's routines phase me and I cannot dance, not at all.

Well maybe there is hope for me after all!!! lol

I still need to get my step (this month!!) but that has not stopped me from working on my Cathe collection  I will be finished with CLX in October and then I will start my first Cathe rotation!!

Thank you for all the recommendations. I am very confident that Cathe will take me to the next level in fitness.

Do you like kickboxing? I love Kick Max and Kick, Punch, and Crunch. Both of them are simple to learn and get you sweating. They offer a fun alternative to step workouts.

PowerMax choreo is pretty complex, but it's probably the most fun step w/o she's made.

I think the first IMAX, MIC or Drill Max. MIC is still her toughest cardio for me--very athletic, easy choreo that'll leave you in a puddle. ITA about the kickboxing too, KPC, Kick Max & Cardio Kicks (even has guys in it, which should tell you something ;)) are easy to pick up.

If you can get past the dated clothes, the Classics DVD is a great place to start. Purely athletic moves and good solid workouts. It's also a great place to learn Cathe's choreography.

KICKMAX is a really good one!! Not dancy at all in my opinion...just a good ol' beat ya down workout!! hehe!:D
