I went to a couple sporting goods stores today. They looked at me very strangely when I asked for 8 oz. sinkers. They said that would be WAY to heavy of a sinker for fishing. I tried to explain I wasn't using them for fishing. Then they looked at me REALLY strangely! Unfortunately, I didn't find anyting over an ounce.

Hmmm. I have a sporting goods store going out of business nearby... I think I'm going to have to look for sinkers! My sports store thought I might be able to use scuba weights to get to a 2 lb per glove weight, but trust me, those babies are expensive! And wouldn't fit very well in there.

That is too bad you couldnt find them at your particular sports store, we have them here in from little tiny bead size up into higher than the 8oz. In fact the salesperson at my sports store said that the 8oz ones fly off the shelves all the time and he thought I was buying them for fishing.
