Cathe videos for a bad day...

Cathlete
Hey everyone! I just finished having a string of 3 days where everything just seemed to go wrong and just when I thought there was no place else to go but up, something else would happen. It started with being told on Friday that I may lose my job, and ended with my boyfriend of 2 years breaking up with me totally out of the blue on Sunday afternoon. In addition to that he took back the DVD player he'd given me and I couldn't even do my brand new Cathe DVDs. In response to all these fun things happening I was not wanting to work out, but last night I realized I had to do something, so I borrowed a laptop from work with a DVD player in it, stuck on top of my TV and did Boot Camp. I have to tell you it was amazing. At first I thought I'd never get through it because I felt so sluggish, but I started working really hard and next thing I know I am feeling so much better. Cathe is amazing and even if it's just a small thing, exercise is something that I have control over and no one can change that. So all this has prompted me to ask if anyone has any Cathe videos that they do for those days when you feel like you just can't do anything. I was just wondering if anyone else had videos that were "comfort" videos. I think tonight I will try IMAX2, it seems like it'd be a good one to get me going! I look forward to reading your replies.

Hi Angela:

I'm so sorry to hear about your recent problems. Life takes so many strange turns.

I would like to highly recommend Cardio and Weights as the feel good work out of all time. Just try to keep from smiling! HTH!

Hi Angela,
I too am sorry to hear about your job and ex b/f. That was really awful of him to take back his gift to you, men can so evil sometimes. I don't know if you have this DVD or VHS yet but my absolute fave hands down for a bad day is Cardio Kicks. Especially, the power drills towards the end. I throw everything I've got into those punches and I focus so hard on the person that I'm envisioning I have a tendency to zone out into my own little world. But, it feels so good and I always feel as if I've worked out my aggressions without actually laying a hand on the person.

I have to second this, it's Cardio and weights as the utmost feel-good workout!!!

Then Rythmic Step and Powermax. I know them so well and love the moves and music, I don't even have to think about them, just let my body get into the groove...

Workouts for days when you don't want to do too much and it needs to be fun for me are: Cardio and Weights, Rhythmic Step, CTX Kickbox, S/H T/B/A and PS CST or BBA. There is just nothing to dread about any of these. They make you feel better and don't require too much effort.

I'm so sorry to hear about your job and your boyfriend. Something 100 times better is right around the corner!!! Just wait!

The feel good Cathe workouts are definitely Cardio and Weights and Cardio Kicks!!! They both pick me way up when I'm feeling down or sluggish. I actually smile when I do them. Cathe is so funny in Cardio Kicks, she had me cracking up last night when I did this one! Especially the part where she says how the sweat is flying everywhere, and they need an umbrella. She brings the two guys up front next to her and their sweat is landing all over her!!

Hey Angela,

Sorry to hear you have been having such a rough time. Congratulations on figuring out a way to keep yourself going and to lift your spirits, for whatever period of time!

Its all uphill from here right?

I agree with the Cardio & Weights suggestion, and love Power Hour as well, just for the music. Bootcamp falls into my Power Hour category as rockin music!

Working out is great for taking the mind off of everything else, and doing Cathe workouts prevents you from thinking about anything except not dropping on your face!

I think the endorphins and all that circulation are one of the best things for preventing or even treating depression. I admire you for working out after so many bad things happened.

Angela
Cyber hugs to you sweetie :+ I am so sorry about all the bad things in your life today! Hang in there! Count your blessings! Who needs em' anyway! Not you girlfriend! Things happen for a reason. Be strong!

I vote for cardio & weights or Imax2! If you have the terminator... take out Imax2 Extreme... you won't have time nor the energy to even THINK about the depressing news! Also, My favorite 2nd is Step Jam for when I am feeling down! If I am feeling down but energy I use to do Circuit Max before the new series.

Let us know how things go tomorrow:)

Sometimes bad things happen for good reasons. I lost my job too before I got the job I now have and after 5 or more years there it is still awesome compared to where I was working before. Things will work themselves out for the better. As for the boyfriend, plenty more fish in the sea!
Keep you head up. Work out hard and feel good about yourself. You deserve it.
I don't really have a particular video I do when depressed. I think IMAX2 is a great one to tackle. It is very fun. All of Cathe's videos are challenging and fun. The other one I saw mentioned that I think I would pull out is Cardio Kicks (which I will probably never loan out again because I almost did not get it back!).

Wow! Everyone on here is amazing! You all have really made me feel a lot better. In a meeting yesterday, I found out that my position is at least guaranteed until May. This at least gives me some time to look around and figure out what I might like to do, and now I don't even have anyone else to think about but myself. Also, I think that I am going to purchase a new DVD player , and maybe the Cardio Kicks DVD. Everyone had great suggestions, and I pulled out cardio and weights (I'd only done it once before) and you're right, it is just a feel good video. Thanks.
