Cathe - slight differences in your pictures

Hi Cathe - You work so hard and you're so dedicated to our good health and well being and for that I thank you. I have noticed a slight difference in your look when I review all the pics on the blog. Your look in the 4 day split pics is a little different than the B&G, LIC pics but I cant put my finger on what it is. Is your hair longer this time? Did you use a differnt hair/makeup person than the one you did when you recorded the intro speech to the last DVD's? Your eyes and eyebrow area look very defined.

In any event you look radiant and healthy - totally enjoying what your doing!

Hi Carmen! Wow, I just had a similar observation noted by another forum member yesterday. This is a great compliment to a person who is turning a year older tomorrow. I love you guys :7 :7 :7

While I agree that I really love the way my hair and make up came out this time (yes, a new wonderful make up artist who has a love for perfecting eyebrows and smoothing frizzy hair....I just loved her and didn't want to wash my face at the end of the night, LOL) I have to say that lighting, camera angles, make up and wardrobe colors play a huge role in how you look. I remember looking at Power Hour and barely recognizing myself when we edited that workout. The opening speech to the Hard Core's was another one where the lighting and clothing colors totally changed my appearance.

This time we got new camera's to take action shots with (those you see on the blog), NFL's top of the line lighting and production crew, and a new hair and make up staff.

As for myself, yes, I have let my bangs grow out (which seems to be a big hit with family and friends...who knew, LOL), I have changed the color of my highlightes to a softer caramel color, I have really stayed on top of my skin care regime (which usually during film time I tend to get dehydrated, but made an effort to really stay moisturized and kept a water bottle at my side at all times). I have also discovered some eye make up colors and eye smoke/smudging techniques that seem to have made my green eyes a brighter green.

Please understand that it is NOT my nature to go on and on about myself like this. Actually it feels very awkward to me and I'm a little embarrassed. I just thought that maybe I should share this since this question seems to be a "hot topic" :7

Cathe, I think you are definitely caught up in the excitement of all this! It's really cute! And contagious!! You have a natural beauty about you that comes through no matter what. Love your humbleness too. Thanks for being you! Deb

Cathe you are so cute & sweet. I hate to have to tell you this, but girl you're a STAR! The majority of your fans are the epitome of the root word...fanatics. It has been said more than once that we would buy a video of you doing the laundry. I include myself in that description!:7 You are also gorgeous, & more so every time I "see" you. My husband feels the same...he is fascinated by the timeline of the workouts, seeing how you have grown more amazing & beautiful with each set of workouts. (I have to say, he is also in love with Cedie...he could never decide between you, so he has recently declared it a tie.)

Love the hair & makeup changes!

Ruth
:) :) :)

Thanks for sharing- and you are not going on and on about yourself. In fact, you are offering words of wisdom- staying hydrated, allowing ourselves to change our hair/makeup to accent our natural appearance, and feeling good about ourselves no matter what. You are an inspiration to many, and definitely tops on my list. I am looking forward to the new workouts!!!!!!!!

Cathe,

When I saw your pics on the blog for the new series, I probably said, "Wow," out loud. You keep looking prettier all the time, and your sweet spirit comes out in all you do.

I hope you have a wonderful birthday.:)

Sandra

Hi Cathe,

Thank you for sharing all that info. with us. Truly appreciated. I don't think you should feel embarassed about sharing.

I also noticed the difference in your look the first time the 4-day split blog pics went up. My first thought was "WOW! She's over 40 and she looks like she's still in her 20s!" I'm turning 40 in September and I have you as a role model. Ever since I started doing your workouts I have gotten so much stronger. I had carpal tunnel on both wrists and couldn't even lift a plate without feeling pain. Now I can lift a 34-pound barbel. I really look forward to working out with you and the ladies every morning!:)

Cathe, I think you look fabulous and am glad that you shared a bit of this and your routine with us. Whatever you are doing, it is working because you seem to get better looking with every series (and that's a compliment!). :)

Cathe, I'm so glad you answered this. I had also been wondering what looked different (and better, if that's possible!) about you, and last night my DH and I "analyzed" the pictures to figure it out. I'm proud of myself that I noticed that you grew your bangs out and changed your highlights. It's so flattering! It's true that you just keep getting better and better. Happy Birthday!

I noticed your lovely eyebrows right off the bat. I have similar coloring to yours (green eyes, dark eyebrows) and just love your makeup this time around. Not that you've ever looked bad! :)

Thanks for taking the time to respond to such a personal question!

Cathe,
I think all your fans are amazed that you can look BETTER and more defined/fit with every workout series. That's very motivating in itself when you think there's no room for improvement!!

All the girls look fantastic in the workouts, and I think the "most changed" goes to Cedie - you go girl! You look FANTASTIC!

Lastly, I'm sure I can speak for everyone that what goes into producing these workout DVDs is beyond comprehension! The cost, the time and the quality...it really shows up in the workouts.

I appreciate the DVD production quality, the routines and premixes that you create (wow) and the sweat and dedication your crew puts into perfecting these workouts. It's quite a commitment, and we luv ya for it.

...now take some time off as soon as you can. You all deserve it!

Cheryl

Hi Cathe,

You're not going on and on 'bout yourself..you're answering one of many personal questions asked of you!

About the bangs...I've been trying to grow mine out FOREVER. I've finally come to the conclusion that I'll have bangs when I'm 87, but looking at how pretty you are in bangs made me feel better about it. :) So.......can you give me any tips about getting through those awkward stages in growing out the bangs?

Thanks a ton!
Mary
