Cathe-please help-want to buy-don't know how to choose

Dear Cathe,

I'm recovering from an illness that caused me to lose a lot of weight. I know that much of the weight lost was muscle mass, and now, as I try to gain the weight back, I would like to do it in a healthy way, by building back lean mass. I see that you have a lot of strength training videos to choose from, and I don't know how to choose what would be best for me.

Would you please help me to pick the proper videos? I'm trying to work in a strength session 2-3 times a week, are there any videos that would be complimentary to that, and will that help me reach my goal of building lean mass? If you have a better schedule to suggest, please let me know, so that I can work out in the wisest way possible to achieve my goals.

You have no idea how much I would appreciate your guidance. I live in an area where there really aren't any trainers available, and your help would be so valuable to me. Thank you so much for your time.

If I were you, I'd choose the Pure Strength Series. It's not quite as intense as Slow&Heavy, and it's more strength oriented than endurance. It's also nice that it's a set of 3 workouts that you can alternate every other day with cardio. The set uses both dumbells and a barbell, but can be modified to just dumbells quite easily.
