In the wake of the terrible outrage we are now enduring, and knowing how close New Jersey is to New York, please be safe.

Let us all now pray.

Annette

Isn't horrible beyond comprehension? I feel like I am in a fog. I am praying along with you, Annette.

My thoughts are with all my Cathe forum pals. Hope you are all safe and well. Watching the video of the second plane hitting the World Trade Center and the subsequent collapse of both towers, I felt like I was watching a movie --it just couldn't be happening!

LAST EDITED ON Sep-11-01 AT 06:10PM (Est)[p]Hi Annette! Thank you and likewise to ALL. I feel so emotionally dazed. I'm saddened, frightened, angry, confused, the list goes on. What a horrific day.

My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone across the country, and especially to those who have family and friends directly impacted by this tragedy.

Please be safe everyone!!!!

The day has been a complete disaster. A guy I work with has two brothers who worked in the towers...........
I have two cousins in New York and have not been able to contact them...
I am full of rage right now and I hope retribution is swift and deadly for the cowardly demons responsible for this.
I also hope all the wonderful people here on Cathe's site are safe at home with their families.
Stay safe everyone!

Trevor

It is the day after, and I was hoping I would wake up and it would all just be a terrible nightmare. I cannot believe this could happen to our wonderful country. I agree with Trevor and hope this group of terrorists are caught and punished.
My condolences to all of the families of the victims.
I hope all of you are well!

Lisa

We live in New Jersey(45min from New York). We can see the New York skyline from our house it will never look the same and will be a constant reminder of this horrible act. On the local news they are reporting people looking for their loved ones it is so sad. Let our prayers be with them all.

Debbie

Annette! Thanks so very much and may God bless you for thinking of all of us here in NY!! I work across the street from the WTC. I managed to survive yesterday's devastation along w/hundreds of others. My building that I worked in no longer has a lobby. Today is a day of grieving and mourning for all those people that I saw die. Keep praying for all of those families and their children. Kathy

here in DC

Hi all---I hope everyone connects w/their loved ones who are missing and that all is well. Here in DC things were a mess on Tuesday. I work for the Fed'l Govt and none of us could believe it when we first heard the news of the WTC. Then the Pentagon! They evacuated us shortly after the crash into the Pentagon. When I was driving home, I heard a news report stating that another plane was ten minutes outside of the city. Thank God it was a false report.
The people in the plane that crashed in Pennsylvania are HEROES. It's that type of courage and selflessness that will get us through this crisis. We live in a wonderful country and rest assured, we will prevail over this evil. The rest of the world stands w/us, too.
Everyone take care of yourselves. Give blood if you can and pray. Suzanne

RE: Messages 10-12

Sorry, but I had to delete messages 10-12. We had a corupt file and it had to be eliminated, or the entire database could have been damaged.

RE: here in DC

I can't believe this has happened! We know that life holds tragedies. They are inevitable. But an attack of this magnitude with so many lives stolen! I weep for every victim and for each family, for every hero, and indeed, for all Americans because they are OUR sisters, brothers, children, husbands, wives... We will prevail, the spirit, the hope and compassion which is at the heart of most humans, it cannot be destroyed by acts of hatred and violence! But it is at a great cost and life can never be the same! New York, you are in my prayers, not a moment passes that I do not think of you. I hold you in my heart and I pray for your strength and healing. And in D.C. and California, where family members will not return home to arms that long to embrace them, my prayer goes up that you will survive and know that we too, love your fallen angels and we know the sacrifice which has been torn from all of you. To the brave souls on those doomed flights, I know you've gone on into open arms which will hold you until you can be reunited with those you left behind. I hope you are cradled in love and light in the part of heaven reserved for heroes who have been lost in the name of freedom....
God Bless America!
