Cathe in ICE Bootcamp...

Cupcake

Cathlete
Hi,

Just got to preview ICE Bootcamp...Cathe looks amazing in that workout! I really like her physique in that particular video. How do you train to look like that? So inspiring!
Meanwhile I am still unable to do any upper body work with my shoulder and have just started working out again the last 2 weeks. Nothing too strenuous ... Cardio and lower body. My dilemma is no butt despite the legs being lean. As in absolutely flat. I was looking at Bikini competitors and thinking there is a way to grow a butt! Look at all of them...all bubble butts. So how?

"They" say hip thrusts are the way to build your Glutes. Personally, I can not do them because of a back injury. So I too have a pancake butt.
Check out Bret Contreras. He is known as the glute guy. He is all about the hip thrust.

Cupcake,

With your shoulder being under construction, that limits your ability to work the posterior chain. Hip Thrusts are excellent for the glutes, as are weighted squats (I like to use the STS Squat Rack DVD), deadlifts with a heavy barbell, and donkey kicks with a dumbbell, just to name a few. Cathe's Rock Bottom Rotation (either one) will help you get there, but after you have completed it continue to focus on the legs, and back. It takes consistency, more than a month and heavy weights to see changes. Good luck!

One more vote for Cathe's RBR. Here below are link discussing rounded bottom:)

Thanks everyone! Been looking through my video collection and realized I have so many that I haven't even done yet!
I did a paper workout today that was a beginner leg workout and used Butts and Gutts warm up and cool down and added Cathe's Fire walkers and Deadlifts to it. When I'm stronger ( and boy did I feel weak ) I'm gonna bust out the old favourites: Slow and Heavy ( I think That's my one soulmate leg work out ), Followed closely by Gym Styles Legs, Butts and Guts,PS Legs. Are there any more similar to these?
I also liked Lower Body Tri-sets. Well I swore at it a lot but I did remember it helped my hip.

I`d gladly give you some of mine if I could!!! Bubble for sure!

Yes please!!! I wish mine wasn't so damn inadequate. It even has the little fold right where the butt and hammie's meet. I started doing step ups/ leg presses on a Firm step and I'm just happy it doesn't take long to get rid of those. So far one leg responded.

Wish you a prompt healing for your shoulder cupcake. You will get a good workout from all these listed above.
What is the most important working out glutes is to feel while executing the move. You need to get to that point.
It is a lazy muscle that is why most trainers advise a pre-activation --- Bonus butt burn From cathe rotation.
Pre-activation is waking up the muscle before the main work!;)
Lol you cracked me up about Tri-sets:D

Have you tried a glute hip thrust on the ball? If you are comfortable doing any floor work try hip thurst with
your back lying on the floor.

All the best in your quest, You will gain that Bubble;)

Thanks Ncfitheart! I'm doing ICE Bootcamp right now! Yes I stopped in the middle to text that I luv this workout!!! Lol it's fun! No dread factor plus the one arm burpees ( as u can imagine mine are uneven ) and the straddle burpees are fun to do. I like the lower body work isn't too many reps or too pulsy. Me no enjoy pulsy moves no not one bit. But 8-16 steady counts I'm happy with! This is my new favorite!
