Hi Cathe, :) I'd like your advice on how NOT to bulk up! I love weight workouts but, my legs and arms (but more legs) respond by gaining in inches not reducing as I would like.
With your workouts I can just about lift as much as you on the leg work but, often I use less on the upper body workouts.
I have ordered your whole "hardcore" series, could you please :* suggest a plan of action for me to become leaner. I also have PUB, PLB, Timesaver dvd and muscle endurance. I'm quite lucky at the moment, I have time to devote to getting the body I want.

Hello (obviously not Cathe). I am currently doing a rotation with PS and in the PS: SL & A workout Cathe says (I'm going to try and quote her): "If you are one of those people that think that your legs bulk just lower your weight". We all respond differently to weight training. If you are bulking in my opinion you should use less weight and when Cathe's done with a set, hit the pause button and add couple more repetitions at the end of each set. Maybe Cathe can give you more advice. Take care.

Obviously I am not Cathe either, but I have the same issue, and for me I just have to force myself to use a lighter weight. I will go heavier now and then to maintain strength, but otherwise I just go alot lighter than what Cathe is using.
I am anxious to hear Cathe's response, but I think the solution is pretty logical.

Stretch. This will help lengthen the muscle. That will help a little.

Use lighter weights. I was always told: lower weight, higher reps make muscles leaner; higher weight, lower reps make muscles bigger. So, I like the advice someone else gave you of lowering the weight and doing a couple of extra sets with Cathe on pause.
