Cathe - how can I shrink my waist?

I have never tried TaeBo, but I've heard many people say that it helps with the waistline as well as the hips/thighs.

It seems that Cathe's waist has gotten thicker and more muscular --although definitely fat free and flat--over the years as she seems to do more plank work and varied oblique work. Perhaps sticking to her older ab videos for a while. Jeanne

AGain, I have some Tae Bo tapes and he stresses a thinner wasitline and how to get it.

I know that if you work the obliques with weights, you run the risk of thickening the wasitline. I never work my obliques with weights, just to be on the safe side. But I would definitely recommend Tae Bo for the waistline.:7

I knwo this is an old post, but I agree that doing the Firm can make your lower body big. Its happened to me. I think it has to do with doing leg presses and squats, but not in high rep sequences like Cathe. Cathe does so many reps that it forces you to lighten up which I think leans us out more. Also, I find Cathe's cardio workouts and cardio+weight segments to be more effective. So if you tighten the muscle underneath but don't the fat off the top, it can make you look and feel bigger. This is what happened to me. Now I only use the older classic and mid-era firms, the newer stuff just doesn't agree with me.

I came back to add that I know it was the Firm workouts because anytime I need a break from Cathe, I go back to the Firm and the same thing happens every time.

This may be good news for some of us who actually would like to increase our lower body!!! Not my case right now, as I have enough fat to fill it out, but when I don't have much body fat, my lower body could use some muscular curves!!!
