Cathe Friedrich...THANK YOU!

Cathe...I'm gonna post this on the OD forum because you've been here lots the last few days. I have to tell you...I am a Facebook fan of (whispering)...another fitness instructor. Who's only produced one video but one that got me through some tough years as an overweight high school and college student. Well, you know what I mean when I say you get somewhat attached to the person who shows up in your living room several times a week (even thought you've never actually met them).

In any event, this person has started a contest to see how many fans we can bring to her FB page and the first "lucky" 5 to respond to her when she reaches 2,000 fans will receive a phone call and free fitness/nutrition/lifestyle consultation. PS...I've e-mailed and posted to her FB several times to ask if she offers classes to those of us who live in her area, and also about a recipe on her site. But no response. After weeks of hearing about this contest and things from her like "hope I get to talk to you" after my (and other's) e-mails and posts went unanswered, I finally posted that it would be wonderful for all her fans, not just 5, to have more accessibility to her, perhaps by forum, FB or on her website. In the nicest way I could possibly say it. Still...no answer.

I'm not trying to disparage her in any way, as her workout DVD meant a lot to me and is a great DVD...but wanted to make a point in contrast to your style.

THANK YOU thank you thank you...for being so accessible to us. For coming on the forum to tell us what you're having for lunch and answer any questions. And detail, at great length, rotations you recommend. And ask us what kind of dog you should get.

Thank you for the road trips (which I'm coming to one day!) and for so warmly inviting us to your gym.

Thank you for treating me like an important guest, a star in your book...and for really listening. I just think the world of you. And look so forward to your fitness and friendship in my living room every day.

Warmest,
Jonezie

I feel this way too!! Great post Jonezie!!! I'm so glad to have found such a great (advanced) instructor, but to be able to converse with you from time to time is the icing on the cake!!:D Linda

Awww, what a very endearing post Jonezie! Thank you so much for those special words. All of you mean so very much to me, you really do. I actually regret that I can't be online more so having you say what you did makes me feel extra happy. I enjoy hearing about your lives, what motivates you, inspires you, and keeps you commited to your health and your fitness lifestyle. As I always say "we are in this together" :)

Have a great night Cathletes :)

Nice post Jonzie,

I'm sure I'm not alone in saying I feel that way too.

So thanks Cathe, for taking me from crayons to Kick, Punch, & Crunch! The style of your workouts gave me back the excitement & fun I had playing sports years ago, the music I enjoyed, and the fitness I'd thought I'd lost plus a way to have and maintain it for as long as I like. You, get a star in my book, for sure! 5 stars!

Thanks again!
Linda

Yes, great post Jonezie! One of the many things that makes Cathe so special is her graciousness and the way she gives each & every one of us her special attention when she has the time. Even more so in person--I'm always amazed how at every RT she remembers everyone's names & something personal about each of us. And goes out of her way to make sure she spends at least a few minutes one on one with everyone, & really does show a sincere interest in our lives. I've told her more than once she should run for office, she's so good with people. :p I envy that characteristic & wish I could learn it from her, but I think it's something either you're born with or you're not. ;)

Anyway, I echo the thank you, for your kindness, caring, & butt kicking workouts. :)

Excellent post, Jonezie!!

Cathe, I seriously cannot thank you enough for EVERYTHING you do for us!! Meeting you in person in SD was beyond special!! I first saw you walking to your room and froze from shock and awe It's CATHE in person!! It's really her!!!!! And she spoke to me!!! Yet you are sooo down to earth and REAL!! Seeing you on FitTV is kinda more like watching a friend now!!

For someone soo reverred you talked to us Cathletes like friends, gave countless hugs, never turned down a request for photos! Just amazing! Randy STILL keeps asking me when he gets to do another push-up contest with you! :D

You have personally inspired me to live a MUCH healthier, fitness lifestyle and have brought me wonderful results both inside my body and out! I think twice about choosng healthier food choices, working out vs. going shopping and ask myself, "What would Cathe do"? Plus I wear the "Commit to get fit" band all day to keep me focused on the healthier side of life!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

Big hugs,
Pam

Fantastic post Jonzie! I totally agree with your sentiment. I was at a RT years ago with all my Texas girls and we LOVED how awesome Cathe was in person. It is no surprise that she is also a lovely online persona as well:) AND SO MOTIVATING!!! Love ya Cathe!!

Great post!!! I totally agree! I am constantly amazed at how down-to-earth and accessible Cathe is. You can tell that she does what she does for a living because she wants to contribute and make a difference by helping others. :)

Can't help but be a tad bit curious, though, of which instructor you're referring to... :p

Amen! I totally agree. I didn't think she could be any nicer from "knowing" her online but she is even kinder, sweeter and very special to everyone she meets on the RT's! A very kind-hearted gal! I feel blessed to have actually met her in person several times. And, I have to say, she attracts some very nice people here.

BTW, Hi Jes!!!! Great to see you here! Miss talking with you!
