Cathe-Are you recognized........?

Cathe, Are you recognized as a celebrity when you are out? Do you get people asking for your pic or autograph? It seems like you would!!:)
 
A while back (Sept 2003 I think it was) I was North Jersey & saw Cathe tailgating before the Bruce Springsteen concert.

I was walking across the parking lot & looked at this ADORABLE woman standing with a bunch of people. I looked at my husband & said, "Hey, I think that's Cathe!" He looked over & said "Yeah, I think it is." We went over to say hi.

I think that qualifies as being recognized as a celebrity.
 
I know that if I ran into her, I would want to go up and say hello, shake her hand and ask for a picture because she motivates me so much that I would love a picture with her. But on the other hand I wouldn't want to bother her either. Since I live in KC I don't see me running into her anytime soon. :(

I have asked my husband for my birthday to fly me up there so I can take one of her classes at the gym so I can up my chances of meeting her!:D

Of course he laughted at me and told me I a was nuts, and way to much into this exercise thing! But I keep asking!!
 
I also wonder this too!! I know when I met her at her gym she does look different from the videos alot younger looking like a younger 30 year old. Well I did ask her to sign my IS series thanks Cathe for doing this because everytime I get one of those out I see your signature and it makes me smile that I had the chance to chat with you:).
 
I did the same thing! I went to one of her kickboxing classes early last year and had her sign my KPC DVD and had my picture taken with her. I felt like such a groupie, but I guess she's used to it.

I think she'll be recognized more now that she's on Fit TV. Most of my friends who get this station (I don't!!) know who she is. Before Fit TV they never heard of her.
 
How funny! I was thinking of this while I was driving to my hair dresser's today. I was wondering if Cathe's recognized while getting her hair done! What a great thread and would love to hear from Cathe.

I know I would be tickled pink if I'd run into Cathe, she's my SHERO. I think it's a great idea to plan a visit/vacation at her fitness center. In my opinion she is a celebrity.

I've always wondered this too.

If I ever saw Cathe, I'd be so excited to see her I wouldn't know what to say! She is my motivation for exercise and I just love her!
 
About a year ago my DH and I did a trip out by her. It was so great to do a couple of live classes with her. Step Works was my first video with her so she signed the cover. I have a picture of her and I in my work out area next to my signed cover. It is so motivating. Sometimes, I still can't believe I met her. She is so nice. We even went and had coffee. I hope to go back someday.

Jo, why don't you go for a soda next time - or something you actually enjoy drinking? Just kidding. I love ya kiddo! Mabye next time the whole hive can go for a Cathe meating (er, meeting)!
 
Hi Everyone! You are all too sweet! Really you are:* Most of the time when people meet me they are surprised that I am shorter and more petite than what they see in the videos. And it is mostly at fitness events that I would be recognized. But, yes, now since being on FIT TV, it appears that more people are recognizing me in public. Please know that I only share this with you because you asked (blushing). It is not my nature to boastfully bring this to peoples attention.
 
Cathe, there is nooo way you are shorter or MORE petite then in your vids! You are tooo cute! Can't wait to meet you someday.

LOL, DebbieH - it's true! She's even smaller off-screen :). I was lucky enough to get the chance to have a class and then dinner with Cathe and Brenda, as well as Deb(Fitnessgoddess) an Francine from the boards here. Cathe and Brenda were both very sweet and down to earth. What struck me the most is how warm and welcoming they were to me, even though it's the only time we've ever met. It was a great experience and I'm looking forward to doing it again sometime.

Liz~let me just say...I am quite jealous! No fair! How fun. I have no doubt that Cathe and her whole crew would be very sweet. I remember seeing some pix that Deborah posted after she & Francine met up with Cathe. Were you in some of those pictures? I look forward to not just meeting Cathe and crew but you & everyone that posts here. Hopefully someday. Thanks for the reply.

I think I still have those pictures...I'll have to look for them. I'll send them to you if I can find them. Brenda is also quite petite & has a great butt! LOL

Working out & having dinner with Liz was a blast. We've got to do it again soon--with or without Cathe & Brenda.

All of you here inspire me more than anyone I know. Since signing on here recently I've become hooked on this forum. I come here every single day for my motivation and inspiration.

It would be SO GREAT to workout with all of you LIVE at Cathe's gym. I would love to meet Cathe and all of you someday.
