cathe- are there any supplements you reccomend

I read somewhere that everyone should use a supplement such as stacker 2, xenedrine, those grapefruit pills...etc. do you cathe- or does anyone have something they use and reccomend? I'm not looking for a magic pill- just something to go with my vitamins to aid in weight loss and give me more energy. I workout at least 60 min. a day, trying to eat cleaner but I feel pretty good when I take an energy supplement- just wandering what's best... thanks

Hi Luxx,

I'm not Cathe, but I wanted to tell you that she did provide information at the end of her Wedding Video regarding supplements. She had the current Ms. World (I think?) on talking about MetRx. Now, that was taped in 1997 - so things may have changed. I think she was just trying to let us know that supplements can make a huge difference in our weight loss and fitness goals. If you have this workout, you may want to watch the very end to see what you think.

Hope that helps,
Tricia

Personally I think these pills are hogwash and a waste of your money, not to mention some of them have health risks attached to them. There's nothing in them, energy-wise, that ample sleep and a healthy diet filled with fruits and vegetables cannot provide. These pills can never be a substitute for sleep and healthy diet. So if your diet is not what it should be, that's what you concentrate on first.

Luxx, the only supplements I use for my workouts are protein powder and power bars to help me get my daily protein quota.

Other than that, I take glucosamine for my joints, calcium for my bones and a multivitamin.

So far, my best aid in weight loss has been eating right, eating less, and eating clean. It sounds easy in theory, but it's quite hard for me.:)

Hi Luxx! I do not recommend "energy" supplements such as those you have mentioned. I recommend the good old fashioned approach of eating clean, eating balanced, eating enough, working hard, working effectively, and sleeping well. It takes longer but when done passionately, it lasts a lifetime.

Thanks everyone and Cathe- thanks for your advise. I'll keep trying the old fashioned way....it's hard to get used to eating so clean and getting all the fruits and veggies in- I'll keep it up though
