Cathe app problem. Pls help SNM

Hi SNM -

I generally use the Cathe app on my iPad for accessing the forums. Today when I was updating my apps there was an update to the Cathe app. Unfortunately, I now can no longer use the app. I can see the main forum subjects, but can't open any of them. I can see them, i can touch them, but nothing happens. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, but now it won't even let me log in...again, I can see the log in button, but no matter how many times I touch it, nothing happens.

I have the iPad 2 and have never had any problem with the app before. I hope you can help. Thanks very much!
 
I am having a different problem with my iPad app. I am allowed to see and reply to threads, but when I reply to a thread it changes the size of the window of the app. It shrinks it by almost half, with half the screen being black. The only thing that changes it back to normal is killing the app and relaunching.

I have iPad 3
 
The app update has come through for my iPhone, but I'm not loading it...hope this can be fixed soon since I live on my iPad and love checking out the forums in the extra 5 minutes I have here and there.
 
I had a problem the other day with my iPad app as well, have iPad 2. I just deleted the current one, shut off my iPad, reloaded the app and it has been working ever since. In fact posting with my iPad now:)

I hope this works for Akompti1, but I already tried that and no go. In fact I've done it more than once both yesterday and today. I guess I'll try it again! Thanks!

I finally got it to work, but with a weird solution.

First I uninstalled and reinstalled it (okay, I did that step about 15 times before I arrived on the next step). Then, before opening the app for the first time, I held my iPad so it was in portrait mode. I never do this, because I prefer the larger keyboard when it's held the other way. Well, voila, when I held it in portrait and it opened the first time, I was able to log in and click on anything, and it all worked. I then turned my iPad so I was viewing it in "long" mode and everything works perfectly.

I was able to download the update last night and sign in. But after reading this post, I went in again today and I got a network error! It went straight to a black screen. So I deleted the app and reloaded it. Didn't even need to sign in again and it's working.

But, it does concern me that I got the network error. I'll keep testing to see if I get again.
 
I'm so frustrated with this app update. I've had to install and reinstall so many times. It works fine at first, then I lose part of the functionality of the tough screen. If I have it in long view, I can't use the left side, so to do anything where the buttons are to the left, I have to turn it to portrait. If I have it in portrait, I can use the buttons on the left side, but not the buttons down the middle! So, for example, if I want to "load more threads" I have to turn it back to long view to e able to do that. There's no way to use this app without having to turn my screen from one way to the other depending on which part of the screen I need to touch.

Also, as I'm typing this, this message reply is not taking up my full screen, but only about 3/4, which I suppose would e full screen on a mini.

SNM - any thoughts or help? Any chance on reverting to the previous version?
 
Same here HELP!! Was fine on my Ipad until the update. Now it is unresponsive. I have deleted and reinstalled and same thing!!!!!
 
My iPad app doesn't work well at all after the update. Parts of the screen will not recognize touch and the screen does not size correctly most of the time. I hope they are able to do some better testing with the next release.
 
I have been able to reproduce the problem everyone has been experiencing on an iPad 1 and 3. We have informed the developer of the problem, but in the mean time I have been able to fix the problem by following these steps (which a few of you have already suggested):

1. Delete the app from your iPad by holding down on the icon until it vibrates, then tap on the red X to remove it.

2. Shut down your iPad by holding down on the power button until "Slide to Power Off" appears, then slide it to COMPLETELY shut down the iPad. This step is critical for success! Just turning the iPad off and back on again by a quick tap on the power button will not work.

3. Hold down the power button to restart your iPad.

4. Go back into the App Store and re-install the Forum app onto your iPad.

5. Launch the app, and everything should function fine. You should not even lose your login and password if you previously saved them.

This method has worked successfully on the two iPads I have access to with the Forum app installed.

Hope this helps for now until the developer can submit and have the update approved by Apple; sorry for the inconvenience!

Oops...that sent before I finished! It works temporarily, then I lose function the more I use the app until its so nonfunctional I uninstall and reinstall again...I've had to do this countless times.

Thank you so much for looking into this and seeking a solution...much appreciated and here's hoping for a quick fix!
 
Any word on a fix? Still can't use on my Ipad 2. Right now I am on my Iphone and it is such a challenge for me!!! Please help!!!
 
When I reinstall it, sometimes it works for a while, but it eventually stops working. I know have to rotate my screen constantly, depending on which part of the screen I want to touch....it doesn't burn many calories, but feels like a workout as iPads go. ;-)

Had to turn my screen 4times to send this message!
