cardiocoach 1 or 6

I want to try one of these and I was going to buy them from ebay which they have these 2 available. Does anyone own either of them and which is better or more challenging to get your endurance built up? thanks!

Laura: I just purchased 1 revised 3, 6 with Candace and 6 with Sean the other day from Ebay too to try. You can go to the website to hear a sample. I think you can do a search too for the topic if you do not get a reply quickly.

Are you talking about #6 with Sean or Candace? I love them both, but I really think the one with Candace is more of a butt kicker.}( They are both good though. #1 is shorter than #6 so that may be a factor for you. I'm not 100% sure, but I was thinking #1 was about a half hour and both #6's are about an hour.

Laura,

The intensity and level of challenge increases with each Volume. Vol 7 is the most and Vol 1 is the least. The duration gets progressively longer with each volume too. That said, the beauty of these workouts is that you can decide how intense to make them by changing your settings as you get more fit. So it is possible to get a really intense short workout with an early CC volume by going all out on the brief high intensity bursts and recovering at a more challenging intensity. I use the higher volumes a lot. I also like the early volumes because they work so well as a add-on after weight-training as they are shorter in duration.

Short answer: Vol 6 is more challenging than Vol 1.

If you are getting just one, I suggest get 6 (either one of them). You can make it short by doing just the first, or the first two challenges and forwarding to the cool down on busy days, and doing the whole thing when you have the time.

Hi Laura- Cardiocoach 6 with Candace is great, but even better is what Candace has come out with on her own. She has several CD's available on her website: www.fitisitcardio.com

I have been very happy with them. I own elliptical fit and both walkfits. These are great becuase you get set the speed to the pace you are craving (fast for me!) and she motivates the whole ride!! These are also a newer release than the cardiocoach. Let me know what you think!

Ashli,

I read the descriptions and I got the sense for some reason that they were not geared for advanced fitness levels.

What is the music like?

Are they as challenging as CC (number/frequency of intensity bursts)?

How are the different from CC?

Sorry, lots of questions!

Hi Vrinda,

I personally use the Walkfit and Elliptical Fit workouts and I am able to set the pace to the challenge I am feeling. I think the great thing about the Fit Is It CD's is that they are so versatile. Candace is one of the most motivational people to listen to.... that is no different on these, and the music gets me pumped. These are also much newer than cardiocoach. I looked on her website and you can listen to samples. www.fitisitcardio.com
I also recieved a coupon from her recently for 25% off. The code was candacegrasso

I hope this helps!!

Ashli

Thank you Ashli.

I listened to her elliptical workout sample. She has used a similar style as CC.

I like Candace but Sean is magic for me.

ITA!!! I listened to the clip for Candace's Walk Fit Volume 1 and the music is from Cardio Coach Volume 3. I really like Candace's work on CCV6, and I think I would be more interested in her new workouts if she did something a little more original ;)

She reused music from Sean's workouts after working with him and his label? :( That does not seem ethical. Apart from the scale of exertion guide, she had lifted the approach wholesale from Sean. She even tries to mimic the coaching style but she sounded rather scripted and flat in the sample clip to me.

Different strokes for different folk - coaching styles are subjective. But the rest of it settles it for me. I dont want to workout with Candace Grasso.

I feel exactly as you do about this. I was frankly surprised that she seems to have copied his format entirely :( . I love Coach Sean and I've had the BEST results with him in terms of cardio which, ordinarily, I hate with a vengeance :p

wow..... you all are quite critical. I did not find anything ethically wrong with her workouts. I have been a fan of Candace since before cardio coach and I will continue to workout with her. The results are amazing from her. I personally do not like Sean's voice, it is girlish to me. BTW, don't you ladies think that Sean and Candace may be buddies and support making people healthy as a united front? I thank both of them for their detication throughout the years.

Ashli,

I cannot speak for the other ladies, but I hope Sean knows better than to stay friends with people who stab in the back.

Candace is unethical because:
a. Wholesale copying of some one else's format is unethical. No matter how excellent her coaching style, that is just not done. I dont even see an acknowledgement of Sean at her site.

b. She worked with Sean on his Vol 6, learned the technique and business model and then set up the exact same thing for herself. She did not just ape something by a third party but by someone who included her in his idea. That is a breach of trust.

c. If she reused CC3 music, she deserves to get her pants sued.

With friends like Candace Grasso, Sean does not need any enemies.

I respect your right to like her, but I state my opinion here, so that everyone else on this board is aware when they make a buying choice.

The music has the same guys name as CC's music does on the CD covers. Same guy looks like. Sounds great. It says they worked together on this..... was recorded at Sean's studio in California.
So there's a little script.... I don't really mind. The Elliptical, boy that's another story. That's for ALL FITNESS LEVELS and while it may say that, WOW, you have to be pretty fit to work that thing out......it's a fun filled killer of a workout. Give it a try.

I just noticed something about you, person who calls yourself Ashli.

You signed up recently and dont seem to have made posts here except promoting Candace. Are you Candace Grasso?

I dont want to write obscure posts saying "some people here should", like your reference to me being opinionated. I am not just opinionated, I am direct.

If you are Candace Grasso,

a. I apologize for the harsh tone of my previous post. I should not have used such judgmental language. I am not perfect and have made many mistakes. I have no business judging other people.

b. That however does not change facts. Fit Is It has used Sean's concept lock, stock, barrel.

c. Sean acknowledges the Cathe forum at his site. Any Cardio Coach activity here is conducted in a manner that is so above board. You may want to consider such an approach because it wins loyalty.

d. I have worked out to Vol 6 CC Candace and cannot say I did not like it. What puts me off buying your products is that they seem like an attempt to cash in on the work of someone who has a lot of goodwill for not just his fabulous and original approach, but his heart (Press Play, his Customer Service, the free offers he makes of CC to people who donate to good causes, his genuine warmth to his customers). If you abandoned your current approach and came up with something that you feel truly passionate about - your own concept, and promoted it in your own name, with pride, not in this way, it could well be a winner. You concede the flat script in your CDs. If you create your idea, from your passion it wouldnt smack of an attempt to make a quick buck, and may not be flat. Passion reaches out and touches us clients. It is what makes Cathe and Sean special, atleast to me.

Vrinda-

No I am not Candace... I am actually just an ordinary 20-something that loves Cathe and has tried CC in the past.... I was just posting a suggestion for another type of workout since it has the same person. You, on the other hand, must work for Sean and CC since you are able to recite your code of conduct for that business. I did not realize I was joining a forum that only sold CardioCoach. I actually thought that it only was about Cathe and fitness. You should be more honest with your intensions. Almost every thread you have posted is promoting CC and how you love Sean. I hope you are collecting a commision honey!!

There is a very good reason why you think I only post about CC. Those are the only threads you come to, to plug CC ripoffs.

With this, I withdraw from discussion on this topic.

Vrinda, I've read your comments and I share your concerns and convictions regarding Candace's venture.
