cardio kicks vs. CTX kickbox

I have been enjoying the kickbox section on the timesaver DVD and I wanted to get another Cathe kickbox workout and I was wondering which people enjoyed more, Cardio Kicks vs ctx kickbox. I know the CTX is shorter, but how about as far as content and music?
Thanks to all of your information in advance, it has been very useful as well as motivating!

Overall, I like CK better than CTX but I find CTX wonderful for a shorter day or a short cardio before weight training. These are my thoughts on how one could be better than the other and vice versa.

Ways that CTX is better than CK:
- I like the drill style of CTX
- lots of hi/lo jumping style in CK that I don’t care for

Ways that CK better than CTX:
- CK is longer and more thorough
- the intensity drills at the end of CK… not as difficult (for me) as the high int. drills in KPC, but they are great nonetheless
- CK music is GREAT, very energizing!

LizzieLiz's answer is excellent. Very thorough.:) I just want to add that Cardio Kicks uses up a lot of space, which I don't have. So I end up modifying the moves a bit. I can do CTX Kickbox, which is more drill-oriented, without modifications in my workout space (approx. 5'x9').

I'm not a fan of hi/lo, so I also have to modify the hi/lo moves in Cardio Kicks as well.

This is a tough question because they are both excellent workouts. If you want a real intense long workout, Cardio Kicks is the way to go. If you just need a 20-25 min. add-on to an already completed workout, then the one from the CTX series is awesome! If you don't have Kick, Punch & Crunch yet, you need to get this one as well!!!

Ah Pinky - thank you for mentioning that very important point - Cardio Kicks is one heck of a space hog!

Also, I second the suggestion to buy KPC... it is so good. It is currently battling with IMax 2 for the top spot in my collection. Tough, tough, tough - but what an incredible workout! ;-)

Hello,

I really enjoy CK the best. I enjoy CTX kickbox if I am short on time or for an ad on to another short cardio. Both are great, but I prefer CK.

Have a great day!
