Cardio Coach

I have just started looking into these & they look like a good workout for variety. Anyone have a suggestion for my first purchase?

(I'm an advanced exerciser).

Thanks!

They are all good. Sean has designed the workouts to be used for any fitness level. The intensity of the workout is up to you.

I love Volume 5, too. Volume 6 is a close second, but for some reason, I love 5. Take a look at the times, and see if that helps you decide. Some are longer than others.

I've never been able to narrow it down to one or two favorites -- I seriously love them all and each one has a place in my rotation. If you like to run, Vols. 5 and 7 are must haves. If you love hills then you need Vol. 8. The rest provide a nice mix of hills and sprints, or treks.

If I were you I'd get them all because you probably will anyway, and he's running one heck of a sale right now -- I call it The Great Cardio Coach Giveway! :)

ETA if you want to see the structure of each workout, Sean provides a written description of each one. From his online store, just click on the workout you're interested in, and then follow the link for more information.

I have them all and like vol 5,7, and 8 the best. I didnt care for the music in vol2 but it was a decent workout. I love these 3 though and I feel vol 8 has helped me with my running. I feel stronger after using this workout 1-2 week.

I love #4. It's shorter, but you can just replay any or all of the 3 challenges to make it longer. Challenge 2 on Vol. 4 kills me.

If you're advanced exerciser, I vote for 7,8 and Press Play would be a great place to begin.
You will eventually want them all. I just know it.:D:D

The shorter workouts are always nice to have on hand, but you can double them up to make them longer.

I also have to chime in for Vol 7 and 8. I love the music in #7 but I did #8 today and it was awesome.

If you have an ipod, you can get a bunch and mix and match them by creating playlists with the challenges and steady state phases you want. This is great because you can customize based on your time, and what you're looking to concentrate on. I love to do this.

I have 3, 5, 6, 7 & 8. Every workout is just amazing! I can't pick one over another, they are all different AND that good. Right now because of the sale, I plan on getting 1, 2 & 4 to get them all. The music is absolutely amazing on 7 & 8. Its the only reason I love my elliptical!

Will one of those tiny square ipods work for the Cardio coach and itrains? I think they're the ipod shuffle 4GB. (?)

I'm in the minority but #3 is my favorite. I like to double the hill challenge, which makes the workout 50 minutes.

An iPod shuffle would drive me nuts for workouts unless I had nothing but uptempo music on it. If you want your tracks to play in order, you'd have to use a regular iPod or MP3 player.

Is Cardio Coach just for the TM or can you use it while running out doors. I got my DH an Ipod for Bday and I was thinking of putting Cardio Coach on it.

Oh, Vol. 3 is a goody!! Over the past 2 or 3 weeks I've done all of them and, like I said in an earlier post, I just can't choose a favorite! They're all favorites! There are only 8 workouts and each one has it's own something something that makes it memorable.

If I love them they must be awesome because I hate cardio with a passion but I actually look forward to these workouts.

Yes, you can use CC outdoors. I know of several walkers and runners who use CC. Volumes 5 and 7 are great for runners, but any of them will do.

I agree, I used a mix of Volumes 5 and 8 for an outdoor run on Sat. I was going to just run 4 miles and ended up doing 6.2, I didn't want to stop!!

Oh, and I have an ipod nano. I used to have a shuffle and while it would work, it's MUCH better w/ the nano!
