Cardio Coach PP Saturday!! How'd you do!?

Miss Lee

Cathlete
Goooooooood morning!

I just finished my coffee and I'm about to get started. I'll be waving at you in the workout! Have a good one!! :D

Morning Michele!!

I'll be joining you shortly and will report back if I survive the challenge;)

Have a good workout.

JJ

I made it!!! My legs are SCREAMING at me though! I cranked out seven miles. Whew! I love doing that first thing in the morning. I feel like the rest of my day can't help but be wonderful! I just have one question, though.....

WHY ARE THERE SO MANY *$#^&$#* HILLS??????

I'm waiting until Monday... I was going to do it today but got the flu shot last night and my arm feels super heavy/ weak. I should be ready to go on Monday! :p

WOO HOO!! That was FUN!! I really thought I wasn't going to make it for awhile there. Right after the 3rd challenge I started feeling shaky so I paused the workout and drank a glass of tangerine juice. I guess 5 weeks of fueling my engine with hospital food took it's toll -- LOL!!!

I LOVE that challenge from V6, especially the part where you hear a voice in the background shouting "GO GO GO GO!" :D

Shellbell - I bow to your greatness! I have never reached 7 miles on the elliptical. I've come within a hair of it and I'm hoping to get there one of these days. Wow, 7 miles -- that's AWESOME!!!

Jess, I'll be thinking of you on Monday and sending PP vibes your way! I hope your arm is feeling better soon.

JJ - I'm waiting for you at the finish!! You go girl!!! :D

Good luck everyone!

I'm planning on doing this tmrw. Today isn't a good day for it after all.

Kudos to those who are done already!:)

I'm Done!!!!:eek::eek:

It doesn't matter how many times I do this workout, I still get goosebumps! I was afraid of the challenge but surprisingly I handled it pretty well. Came in just under 7 miles on the TM and even tacked on Bosu Blast abs after.

High Fives to everyone else! I'm having pizza and beer tonight!:p

JJ

ps. Michele~ I hope you felt my energy...I dedicated this one to you and your family (especially your DFIL) and Tanya from CC land;)

I just finished it too! :D The last two challenges were quite a bit tougher today than yesterday, but I did them! WOO HOO! Off to take a much needed shower!

Have fun everyone!

My best EVER!!!

WOW! I have to say WOW! Today's CCPP, for me, was my best EVER! Not because of mileage, but because of how I felt!!! I felt AMAZING the ENTIRE way through it all!

I'm so proud of myself. I hosted ds's 8th BDay party SLEEPOVER last night, and there were 9- 7&8 year old BOYS in my house from 6pm last night to 10am this morning. They didn't get to sleep till after 1:30AM, and they were up early! I sent them all on their way, and hit the treadmill, telling my boys and the one that stayed longer to "let me get my workout in" and then the day can start! LOL

Once I got rolling, I realized that I didn't sync the first PP challenge (the long, 15 minute one), so I hit pause and did it on my own. Then resumed. THEN realized I didn't sync a steady inbetween the last PP challenge (the optional 5th one) and the added-on challenge you ladies made me do! LOL So I paused again and ran steady on my own, then finished!

ANYWAY...all that to say.....

I ROCKED IT! I felt sooooooo strong and steady on my feet and not ONCE did I consider not doing the additional challenges!! I logged over 7.3 miles and LOVED EVERY SINGLE MINUTE!!!

WOW! What an amazing way to start a Saturday (and expend energy after all those loud BOYS in my house!) lol

NOW....what to do with all these endorphins!

Gayle

p.s. YOU LADIES ROCK, do you know that???

I wasn't able to join in today.

My DH, my soulmate, had three seizures last night between 12:30 a.m. to 4:00 a.m.

He is an epileptic, but he's never had more than one seizure in a day.

I'm so tired and scared right now.

I hope to do PP tomorrow.

If you could, please send positive thoughts and prayers to him. His name is Mike.

Thank you all.

Becky-OMG! Mike is certainly in my prayers and we'll add him to our 'candle lighting' prayers tomorrow. WOW! I he okay now?????

Gayle

:)

Great job everyone & Good Luck to those doing the workout tomorrow. Becky, Mike will def be in my thoughts & prayers. How scary that must have been for you both! Keep us posted on how he is doing. Hope you can rest today.

I didn't think I'd have time today so I did CCPP yesterday but as it ends up, I did have time to get a run in but opted for Volume 1 since CCPP was tough yesterday with the ADDED bonus! And, when I finished the last challenge, I felt like I needed just a bit more soooo I re-did the challenge of hills! (In honor of everyone doing CCPP with all those HILLS! I know Shelle-Belle, I thought the same thing yesterday, "What's with ALL those HILLS?" YIKES!) Okay, everyone...keep going...we are here to greet you at the finish line!

Woo-Hooo for those that are all finished! High 5's to you!

Good Luck to those of you to follow!

Robin - You don't need to add the challenge. It's probably crazy that the rest of us do -- LOL! I never think I can do it, yet some how I always manage to find the energy I need to get through it. If I can do it YOU can, miss cardio queen! I LOVE knowing that YOU were in the workout with me. :D

Wendy and Shirl, I'll be cheering for you and Jess tomorrow!!

JJ - I definitely felt your energy -- thank you so much. And I still get goosebumps from it, too. Press Play, or rather the energy emitted by the community of Press Players, is a powerful thing, it really is. I FEEL it and it's an inspiring and motivating force. I cannot believe you tacked an ab workout on after PP! Enjoy your beer and pizza -- you earned it!

Mary -- Holy crap, I can't believe you did PP with a bonus challenge 2 days in a row!!! You are my new shero!

Gayle -- Where on earth did you find that energy after hosting an overnight with a bunch of 8 year old boys!!?!?! OMG That's incredible!! You SHOULD be proud of yourself!

Becky -- I'm so sorry to hear about your DH's seizures. I can't imagine how scary that must have been, especially since this was not the norm for him. Did you call the doctor? What do they think casued this? I'll be praying for you and your DH. Please keep us updated on his condition.

Debbie -- You are so awesome!! I can't believe you found the reserve to run with CC again today, and to even repeat a challenge. You ladies are so strong. I hope I can catch up with you one of these days.

I need to head out to the hospital. Yesterday was my MIL's 81st birthday and we're taking her out to dinner tonight. ^^^5's and all my best to those who check in after me! :D

Hi all,

Mike is doing alright right now. He's resting and I'm watching him like a hawk. I know he's still not feeling well though and I'm just hoping he can sleep it off.

Unfortunately, his Neurologist is out of the office until Monday and Mike adamantly refuses to let me take him to the ER. He is so sick and tired of hospitals. He's spent far too much time in them the last 4 years.

A little history on Mike: He's been through Non-Hodgkins lymphoma twice, he's currently in remission. He has lupus. He has epilepsy. And the worst thing he has is a bad heart. A mitral valve that won't close and an arrythmia. Unfortunately his Cardiologist believes that the bad heart was a result of chemo.

He was always active before the heart thing. Running and raquetball. Races and tournaments. Now he's forced to do nothing. No doctor wants to operate on his heart due to his other as they call it "co-morbidities." It's too risky. We're consigned to take one day at a time and enjoy being with each other for what time we have left together. Okay, I'm crying now. We've only been married 5 years.

He is an amazing man with the most positive attitude I've ever seen. I just keep praying for a miracle.

Thank you all so very much for your prayers and well wishes. I can't tell you how much they mean to me.

God bless you all,

Becky

Had an awesome workout with the add on!

Becky - Sorry to hear about Mike. :( I'll say a prayer. Hang in there.

Becky!

Oh my goodness! What a combo of challenges he (& YOU) have to endure. You deserve a good cry! I am so sorry...it has to be hard wondering what each day will bring. But, miracles DO happen...hang in there. Sending up EXTRA prayers for you both and hope Mike feels better soon.

Well the best laid plans don't always happen. This morning my plan was CCPP on the treadmill. Never did that before, alway did it outside. Well I had to watch DH's phone while he did yard work because he was expecting a call. Well he had several. I would press pause so I could go get him and then resume. I made it through 40 minutes, but the last interruption just cinched it for me and I didn't have the will power to get back on and start up again. I finished with a nice stretch and will try to complete all of it next weekend.

Glad to hear of everyone else's accomplishments.

Becky, thoughts and prayers to you and your DH.

Jean

Becky, sending BIG hugs!!!

Oh Becky, my heart aches for you. I'm so sorry to hear of all the troubles your sweet guy has faced, and you right along side him. Can I just tell you that I think Mike AND you are two of the bravest, most positive people I've ever encountered??? I will keep you both in my prayers and hope that when you can see the neurologist next week he'll give you some encouraging news. (((((HUGS))))))!!!!!
