Cardio Coach PP - How'd You Do?

Ok - here I go -- FINALLY. I started this morning with BMax2 scrambled eggs, and then a full day of travel basketball games for my DD, followed by a 2nd T'giving at the in-laws with about 50 people. Kept my eating SUPER clean and bugged out a bit early. Scurried home thinking "ok team CAROLA -- here I come." So I am off for a 2nd workout today, CCPP in honor of Carola, Michele's DFIL, and the strength of anyone else who I can give my all for. BBL.

Phew! This was my first CCPP Saturday. Actually, it was the first time I had done the CCPP workout:eek:! I was happy to see my favorite challenge from volume 7 made it into the workout and was actually the first challenge! That set my mind right. So, with thoughts of Carola in the front of my mind I took it on...and even jogged for some of the sprints. Hooray! I am glad everyone did well. This is a really great workout and a special day to share with other exercisers. Here's to December's CCPP!!

Ms Lee! I was pedaling the same time you were!

It was a struggle, but I made it. We have construction going on outside our window at work and Tuesday, they poured concrete and ran the truck engines the whole time. The fumes were funneled into our department and set off my asthma, which has been pestering me ever since. Thanks to Carola's bravery for inspiring me to get on my bike and be able to say I at least finished! Hugs to Carola, Michele's family, survivors and the family members of those less fortunate.

I finished a while ago too! I managed to get in 7.35 miles with the extra challenge. I've had a stinking cold since Thursday, and I was going to walk it today, but I got on the treadmill and I thought "you know, if Carola can go through what she's going through with such strength, then I can suck it up and run CCPP with a cold!". That thought kept me going through the ENTIRE workout!

Love ya, Carola! I'm so glad to hear you're back home and all went well!

I have been slightly under the weather lately, so didn't feel up to PP -- but still wanted to participate with everyone! I did CCV1 and included the PP cooldown to feel at least a little connected :D I had a great workout and really enjoyed it.

Congratulations to everyone who made it through, despite the many challenges. It really is amazing what we can do when we set our mind to something.

I did PP at 10:30 this morning in Colorado. It snowed last night and I did PP running outside. It was beautiful and cold. The Rockies were clear and covered with snow. It was really a perfect day for a run (regardless of what my neighbor said when I headed out, LOL).

I was thinking of Carola and my husband throughout the workout. Carola, I was sending healing vibes and positive thoughts for you throughout. I hope you felt it. :) It was your attitude and amazing spirit that pushed me to my max today.

I ran 7.6 miles thankful the entire time for all the blessings in my life.

And I was reminded again, it's all in how you look at things. There's always something to be thankful for.

As Sean says in PP... Let you be your own inspirational story.

Go Team Carola!!!

BTW, Lorrie... Scrambled Eggs and then PP?! And after the crazy day you've had? YOU are also an inspiration!! WOW!!

Heck, you ALL are an inspiration. Just doing PP itself puts you in that category. :)

I did CCPP this at about 12:30 today. I'll admit this is the first time that I did it. The though of Carola and what she is going through really made this workout emotional for me. I am reminded how much we have to live for and how fear needs to be erased to realize our true potentials. I am proud of you Carola for your strength and your attitude. Thanks Cathe girls for doing this!

Hi Everyone! I did CCPP on Saturday evening before dinner. I was thinking of Carola the whole time...I was so happy to see her post when I got back to my computer today.

DH and I had a great time at our spa getaway. Didn't do any of the spa treatments, but we enjoyed their workout facilities (DH really liked the resistance pool for doing laps), we did a wine tasting, and we ate like pigs! Good thing I burned so many calories doing CCPP!! It was so quiet there...a great little break from the kids and everyday life.

I walked CCPP on the treadmill, and it went really well. I cranked up the inclines for the hills...really felt it in my legs and glutes the next day! I'm curious to know what kind of settings other treadmill walkers use. Anyone?

Jodi, I'm so glad you checked in! It sounds like you and your DH had a wonderful anniversary at the spa!

I've never done the workout on a treadmill, but my hips, glutes, and thighs are still a little sore from doing it on the elliptical.

Lorrie!!! Holy CRAP girlfriend!! Did you survive the workout? There is NO WAY I could keep up with you, my friend. ;)

Well, better late than never!! This weekend, I decorated and didn't really feel too great. Today I got a fierce headache but was not going to let that stand in my way! It is still with me but maybe not as bad. I knew that it was one that exercise would not make worse so I went for it. Didn't have my best results but here they are -
Challenge 1 - Bike
Challenge 2 - TM
Challenge 3 - Stepmill
Challenge 4 - Arc Trainer
Challenge 5 - TM
Challenge 6 (added challenge) - SM

Bike - 5 miles, TM - 1.75 miles, SM - 1.70 miles and 81 flights, Arc - .65 miles. Total calories - 819, 179 max HR, 151 Avg.

{{{{{Shana}}}}} There's nothing worse than a headache -- they make you feel bad all over. I'm amazed that you were able to get through the workout! Did you go to a gym or do you have all that equipment? That's my dream -- to someday have a house with a HUGE workout room where I can have a variety of cardio and weight machines. Someday...

Take care and be well. :)

Thanks, Michele. The headache is still hanging around. I get two kinds of headaches and have learned to identify them rather well after this many years! This is the kind that hurts no matter what but exercise won't make it worse and sometimes, for some weird reason, actually helps, although only minimally (if any) tonight! I just felt like I needed to do the workout, and my headache was nothing to whine about in comparison to what others deal with daily. Yes, I have that stuff in my bedroom!! I was like you - hated most cardio, really, but have learned to enjoy it when I do what I like to do and don't try to do what I really don't want to do in the first place! And of course, with CC, how could I not absolutely love it! :p
