Can you recommend which Cardio Coach to get? :)

Hi There,

After always seeing how much everyone loves CC, I think it's time to delve in. I'm wondering what you'd all recommed for:

1.) Myself. I'm recovering from a sprained ankle and have to limit my cardio to walking, bike, and elliptical (if I can tolerate it). Not sure if I can do much incline work on the treadmill.

2.) My DH. He would use these for his bike at home that's on one of those stand things that makes it stationary as well as at the gym on the bikes there. He also does the elliptical a lot. He likes to be challenged (I do too, but have to temper myself right now due to the ankle).

Which ones do you guys recommed? I was thinking of getting a couple. Thank you so much!!

Jen,

First of all, I'm so sorry about your ankle and I'm wishing you a speedy recovery.

As for which CC to start with, do you want downloads or CDs? I'm asking because Coach Sean has a Christmas special going right now for CDs. You get Volumes 3, 4, & 6 in a Christmas stocking for $29.95 with free shipping. These are all excellent workouts (Volumes 4 and 6 are two of my all time favorites).

For a shorter workout, Volume 2 is great! You really can't go wrong with any of them. If you want to see how the workouts are structured, go to his shopping page and click on a workout for a breakdown of all the challenges. http://www.cardiocoach.com/miva/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=CCPS&Category_Code=cardiocoach

HTH! Please let us know what you end up getting. :D

Michelle,

Thanks for posting the latest CC special!
I just purchased the stocking stuffer for my hairdresser. She is getting married next fall and trying to lose a few lb's.
OMG, the stocking it just too adorable! I was tempted to buy myself one:)

My favorites change with my mood. I just did vol 5 last night. I LOVE LOVE the music in that one. I also like the lion/gazelle reference. I was the lion(gggrrrrr):D

Press Play is a must in my book. It is the most spiritually uplifting workout IMO. I use it when I need a mental boost. Whenever I'm angry about something, feeling sorry for myself, or I lose my desire to workout.

I'm with you one this one - Press Play is the best. inspiring, motivating...and challenging. Of course, I like all of the CC workouts. This one just lifts my spirits up a little more.
Keith

Oh yeah, Press Play is a must! And then you can join us for CC Press Play Saturday! :D

You get that one by making a $20 donation to the Choose Living Foundation.

ETA - Cynthia, I bought 2 of the stockings for gifts and they were a big hit. :)

3,4 and 6 are what I started with based on advice from Michele. I thought 3 was a great intro to Coach Sean and love 4 and 6 too.

You guys are awesome!! Thanks so much for the recommendations!! DH's iPod broke, so he's commandeered mine since I really wasn't using it. Figures, now I need it. :) Maybe I'll go old school and break out my cd player and get the stocking deal for myself, and then I can order some downloadable ones for DH. I'm going to look thoroughly through all of your suggestions later on today and will let you know what I get! Thanks so much!! I really am excited to finally understand what everyone is talking about when they mention Coach Sean!! Have a great day!
--Jen :)
P.S. Came back to say to Michele, thanks so much for the sympathy! I've dealt with so much regarding exercise induced injuries over the past few years. This was just such bad luck. BUT, I'm taking it as a sign that I need to change things up a bit. :)

Wow -- the stocking stuffer deal is too good to pass up! But I need help -- I don't see it on the cardiocoach.com site (where I've shopped before). Am I looking in the wrong place?

TIA!! And good wises to all!
Allison

Edit: Never mind -- I found it! Thanks again for the heads-up!

Jen, I just wanted to tell you that you can put the CD's on your iPod, too! And likewise, you can burn a CD from the downloads, but Volumes 3, 4 and 6 are the only ones professionally packaged in the 6 panel CD cases, so if you're going to buy CD's, those are the ones to get. ;)

Since your DH stole your iPod, I think you should pay him back by getting him volume 8. It's a GIANT hill climb and a real killer of a workout!

I think Cardio Coach will be the perfect choice for getting a great workout while resting that ankle. ;)

Get them all. You know you are going to anyway. Save yourself the headache now and get them all. Then you can go crazy trying to decide which one you will actually do on a given day. It's pointless to resist... :p;)

I agree with Beavs and Shelley -- get them all. You'll end up with them all anyway. I started with just 2 and now have them all and love making my own playlists with them as well.

I love the CCs!!
