My Cardio Coach workout, that is..

I didn't get the chance to do PP yesterday so I did it today. I just finished seconds ago. BUT...

everyone did challenge 3 from Vol. 8 too. YOU'RE NUTS! I don't think I can do it! I'm so tired right now. I've never even done Vol. 8 before so this will be my first time. I didn't realize the third challenge is FIFTEEN MINUTES LONG!!!!!!!!! :0

You people are crazy. I can't believe you talked me into doing this. :p

Anyone have any inspirational words to get my arse back on the treamill do finish this up??

Thanks, peeps. You're the greatest. :)

LOL Allison!!! I think we are nuts...

Not sure I have any inspirational words for you but YOU CAN DO IT. And I'm only 100% sure of that because I DID IT!! And if I can do it, you can do it!!

NOW GET BACK ON THAT TREADMILL, LISTEN TO THE WARM-UP AGAIN (I found it extremely motivating) AND GET 'ER DONE GIRL!!

It is probably the longest workout I've ever done. I actually had no recollection of doing the PP challenge 5 once the steady for V8 started. After the workout I went back to listen to it and only then I remembered doing it. I was either totally in the zone or totally comatose!!!

Think about EVERYTHING Jim McClaren has to go through each and EVERY day...you know, all the simple things that we take for granted...

Now I know you can make it through that challenge ;)

Think of all of us unfortunate peeps out here who don't have a treadmill and don't get to PP every weekend.

Do it for us, and the Jim guy. :)

Yes - I kept thinking about Jim, and what he has to go through every day. My muscles were literally screaming at me - I kept going though b/c I told myself who am I to complain? And I will feel SO good when it is over. Don't worry - the 15 minutes fly by :) Go get it done, girl!

Thanks, guys! Well, my ipod conked out on me. x( Piece of crap. x( I managed to get through the vol. 8 second steady state and the first two minutes of challenge 3 but that was it. I can't even get the thing to turn back on! x( I hate technology.

I can barely get through treadmill work WITHOUT Coach Sean. I knew I couldn't do it without his voice. So I'll do challenge 3 another day.

But I managed to get in another mile with that for a total of 8.15 miles. Not too shabby. Then I tacked on B&G abs.

I feel good. Thanks for all the encouragement. I'll be sure to do vol. 8 as soon as I get a new ipod! :p

Allie, 8.15 miles!

I think I am going to cry and be speechless when I meet you. ;)

PP is Press Play. It is a special edition workout that is like a remix from various CC workouts. It was created as a fund raiser for Jim Maclaren's (http://www.jimmaclaren.com/) Choose Living Foundation. It starts with a very inspiring message from Jim.

If you go to the CC site you will find a link to buy it.

Allison!! OMG! You went how many miles!? That's awesome!!!

I'm so sorry about your iPod though. Geez, that stinks! http://www.pic4ever.com/images/gaah.gif

Yeah http://www.pic4ever.com/images/loveshower.gif , me too. http://www.pic4ever.com/images/148fs542321.gif

Now you need to come post in the PP thread here and on the CC website, you silly! http://www.pic4ever.com/images/eghfal.gif

>Okay, it's going to be awhile before I get to 8 so I'm

By all means, check out the link that Vrinda gave you, but there's another link I want you to see, too. Jim MacLaren taped a message for those of us who participated in PP Saturday this past weekend. You can see it here:

And here's a link to the PP Saturday thread in case you missed it.

Ok, so I wasn't going to share this...

Saturday was the very first time doing CCPP. Thanks to CC, I'm using my ipod shuffle that I've used maybe once since I got it.

30 minutes into the workout, I realized I had my ipod set to shuffle! It was randomly giving me tracks to follow. I knew PP was a compilation of other CC volumes so I didn't realize they were all out of sync.
I did hills and sprints with some steady state for 30 minutes before I reset my ipod and started over. I was on my elliptical for 2 hours!!!
I was careful to work hard, but not use all my rocket fuel straight out of the gate. OMG, with Coach Sean it did not feel like 2 hours!!!

I kept thinking about Jim throughout the session. That helped me push myself. I soaked through 2 shirts, my ipod ear pads, shorts, socks, and my elliptical mat had puddles below.

Just do it!!!! You can do it!!!

Allison,

I didn' participate in PP on Saturday, but all I can say is - You Can Do It! I mean, you're the girl who adds power to EVERY SINGLE MOVE in HISM, HISM2, and Step SF. You're my inspiration and cardio hero!!!

Hi Vrinda!

I tried to email you through Cathe's site and I'm not sure if you got it. I wanted to give you the link to Jim's latest message http://www.cardiocoach.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=650 . A big group of us here on Cathe's site do the PP workout on the last Saturday of every month and we'd love to have you join us. the next one is coming up on July 26. :)

OMG  . TWO HOURS on your elliptical!! That's AWESOME!!! Oh, you need to post this in the PP thread. ;-) :D

I feel so unworthy.x( I did CC8 three times on my elliptical...it was great. But I cannot run, and so wish I could. And I could never do two hours on the elliptical, are you kidding?

No, I am not kidding! Longest workout I've done in one session. I've done 2 hours before but split morning and evening. My ipod shuffle up the workout and I had a desire to complete the PP as prescribe- with the challenge! My shuffle gave me a challenge and I accepted!:7

I just kept thinking about Jim and other people that face far greater challenges. I'm wondering.....how long does a whole marathon take to complete?
