Can someone please help me lift my arms?

I pulled out the ol' GS BBS tonight and kicked my patooty up, down, and sideways! Wow!

I got a new barbell this week and I think it's a little heavier than my french curl bar that I usually use. So, anyhoo, I got through back okay, then pumped it up a little heavier than usual on shoulders, then simply fried my biceps on those two sets of slow-count barbell curls. I was cussing myself by the end of the second set. I was like, "I thought this barbell weighed the same as my french curl bar! I think I was WRONG!" After that, I wasn't too confident going into the partial dumbbell reps, but I made a gallant effort. But I couldn't complete those last two reps - that was a first. Had to stop early and rest. My bi's were just toasted too much.

But I'm glad I pushed myself. The last time I did BBS, I had very little DOMS and didn't even feel it in my biceps. So, I knew it was time to take it to the next level. I THINK I DID! If I'm not feelin' this tomorrow, I'll be shocked! Heck! I'm feelin' it NOW! :p

Okay, now I'm scared catwoman...

I just got GS BBS the other day and did the back and shoulders about an hour ago. I didn't have time to do the biceps, I'll do it tomorrow night. I loved the back and shoulder segments. I usually have a hard time isolating my back muscles but something about this workout really kicked it up a notch and I really felt it.

After reading your post, I can't wait to toast the bi's tomorrow!

This is just a GREAT workout! I was really looking forward to this tonight, but I'm sore! No lie! I pushed through the rest of the workout tonight - concentration curls, hammers, etc. but it was tough! I mean, she just hits the biceps from every angle (she even says that during the workout) and you start thinking, "Dang! We're doing another bicep exercise?! When does it stop???"

I think you'll really like this one! I think it's much more effective when you do it straight through from beginning to end, but something's better than nothing. But I think you'll notice a difference the first time you do the whole workout without stopping. :)

Now, where's my masseuse! My shoulders and upper back are cryin'! Ha ha!
 
I just did this one last night, too. I enjoy doing back exercises and find I can use heavier weights there.The exercises are in a fun order to do. For some reason I always go back to the Gym Styles.
 
I hardly ever had DOMS in my biceps with this one (always do with PUB), but then I kicked up the weights, and WOW, what a difference!
 
I did this workout for the first time two days ago. I took it easy with the weight, since it was my first time with it. I am glad I did, after reading your post. :)

Today I did GS CT for the first time, and it had a lot of wow factor even with light weights. I was so surprised as I was lifting, thinking it wasn't too bad, then suddenly I could not do another! :eek: My arms shook with most of these exercises, then just gave up. I liked it! Felt like I did something.

Glad you are enjoying the GS workouts too.
