C&T - DOMS Thursday :)

Well, I got 25 min in before Julia woke up. Better than nothing, as they say!:) I would love to do some weights tonight but I am FRIED in UB and LB so more cardio is the plan.

Klaudia, Sorry Target was a bust - sounds like you got quite a haul in spite of it!
Can't wait to heat abt your HIIT!
 
Nina, didn’t have the $ to buy anything new when STS came out, so I use the squat rack at its highest position with a non-loaded barbell. Dh keeps it in place for me and I do for him. Glad the pt is going well! Have a good weight workout!

Klaudia, don’t know if you have already done the workout, but pyramid uses no step. The others have step in them and include jumping up on the step – I do have to use less risers than Cathe on those.

Kate, my dh is the same way with the legs :) We both had lost it there with the fitness for a while, but have been steadily on the way up for the last 6-7 yrs :) My youngest even said daddy your arms are getting big and you look so strong :)

W-2s and 1099s are done at work – one big accomplishment for the day! Now, just have to finish a few more for some acct work I do w/my bus, but at least that part will be over soon!!

Katie we are having friends and family day Feb 7& 8th. That following week I think we are having sales for the public.

Colleen that's always a fear of mine to be attack at night while leaving work. good thing I usally work until 2 or 3 in the afternoons. I really hate indoor garages too.

Once I told my kids that they are not getting their allowance until we go grocery shopping...and it worked.:eek: They didn't even put in cereal.

kate you make me laugh not going to the dr. we are all so different. i am just a firm bliever in dr visits, vax, etc. but i agree with what robin said - of course you are healthy, you do cathe!:D:D:D

i did cb, then added on a circuit at the end of 1 ub exercise for each body part, no rest btwn, repeated 3 times (rows, pu, :Dshoulder raises, hammer curls, lying tri extensions). i enjoyed cb a lot. i am def done working out for the day. eats are still clean and tidy! bbl
 
Woo hoo! Finished HiiT 30/30 and a 15 minute treadmill walk a la Katie:) Will do some abs when I get home from dropping off Danica at dance. I really liked it! The intervals went by fast and I was breathing but not inhaler needing:) And after Nina's OMG workout, I felt guilty stopping so I tacked on the walk-thanks for the motivation!

Robin, not sure if it's her new one-it was on an endcap with a bunch of magazines-it's a soft cover.

You ladies move so fast! I'm such a slow poster!

I'm making chicken corn chowder soup since it's been a bit chilly. Not the cleanest, but I'm using mostly all homemade ingredients and chicken breast so figure, ah what the heck. And some homemade french bread which is also a big carb adder, but I promised myself only one slice. Plus bfast was clean. Kashi cereal and 1/2 slice of multigrain toast. Oh wait, did sneak in a brownie I made last night. Terrible. But lunch is salad. Raw almonds for snack and string cheese. I did get to 40/20 yesterday morning and it was harder than 30/30, but I think I liked it better.

Kate - I had to do that life insurance thing last year right after giving birth to P. My #s were not flattering, lol.

Nina - Are you going to start tracking calories by writing them down or mentally?

Robin - I hear you on being out at night. I try to avoid night outings by myself.

Angie - How are you liking the rotation? I'm at ideal weight too, but need to figure out what to do after P90X is done.

Becky - Hi there! I remember you from the pg forums! Good to see you! Your wos remind me of Nina - hard and intense!

Clintoya - What do you do for work? WTG with being done with the 1099s and W2s so early. We get ours out at the end of the month by a hair!

Klaudia - I need to return something at Target today and I'm totally procrastinating. I did enough damage yesterday there. I hardly buy clothes from there. I never seem to find anything I like.

Colleen - Your menu is always so clean. How do you do it?

Okay, cutting personals short again. P is up. She's getting over a cold and her molars are coming in. Poor baby! At least her congestion is getting better. Drool city though! I am on P90X rest week and really can't stand to do another KenpoX or hear Tony (I'm with you Klaudia on Tony Horton). So...maybe a MMA Cathe? We'll see. Gotta get going with errands also. *sigh* I wish I had a personal assistant some days.

Lisa, I go really clean for a while then I pig out. I know next month will be tough with 3 birthdays (including mine) and Valentine's Day, so I am trying to keep it clean now.
Clintonya, good idea for pullups. I might try that since I haven't been able to do one yet with my pullup bar.
Klaudia, I don't think I have ever spent that much $ at target in one trip. But then I usually end up there 3 times in the same week.
Robin, you're lucky that you have early shifts. Sneaky trick for your kids.
Kate, yeah new workout!!! I can't wait to hear what you think. Sorry about the short nap but at least you have something great for tonight. Yes, work is quiet because the government is looking for money. I hope they find some soon.

I am not as tired now as I was this am. Not sure why. Waiting for DH to come home so we can have dinner. Not sure what we are having yet - either leftovers or tacos.
 
Lisa, when you get the personal assistant, can you pass them my way? Sorry about the cold and molars – hope she feels better soon. I work as an accountant for a non-profit agency. I also have a very small side business doing tax work.

Nina, yes, it actually works pretty well. Can’t do them standing, but can do them the same as the pullup tower would have been.

Klaudia, great job on doing 30/30 and the treadmill!

Colleen, glad the tiredness went away some. I know what you mean about the money- my job relies a lot on grants, mostly state, but the state gets the money from the federal gov’t – so you can see how that goes :)

Robin, I like that :) I am usually good with saying no, except when I am sleeply and she can make me feel sorry for her :)

Thanks for the warm welcome ladies.

Since I'm doing the 3.5 month STS/Shock Cardio rotation, today was MMA Boxing. I may add on a bit of running or some yoga tonight.

Angie, I agree about Boxing not raising the heart rate too high, but I am really liking the varying intensity of these workouts. I've been making fitness gains with this rotation, and I'm only 2.5 weeks into it.

Nina, 9 miles is awesome! Are you training for a big race? I live in Cincinnati and want to do the Flying Pig (either the 10K or the half marathon...I haven't decided yet). How many miles do you log a week?

Colleen, I hope you enjoyed Fusion today. I'm scheduled to do that one on Saturday. I've only done it once before but I loved it.

Kate, great news about the physical. You are the epitomy of what I believe is true health care reform: healthy diet and healthy lifestyle. If only my patients would agree and rather change their diet than add on a pill!

Lisa, hi again. I agree with you about Tony Horton. He annoys me.

Anyway, my food today:
B-green smoothie (spinach, cucumber, carrots, grapes, and peaches...sounds gross but was suprisingly good)
L-yogurt with muesli and berries
D-romaine lettuce with lite ceasar dressing and *gasp* 1.5 pieces of Dominoes new recipe pepperoni pizza. I had made a slow cooker stew, but by the time we ate it all there was was mush. We couldn't differentiate the meat from the potatoes and thought we were eating some of Z's baby food, so we corrected it with pizza.

Tomorrow I don't have to go to work!!! First day in 2 weeks that I haven't had to go. But, that means I'm there all weekend, starting Saturday at 8 am until Sunday morning when I finish rounding on my patients. Oh, how I hate Saturday overnight call. If you're in Cinci, don't come to my hospital. I want to sleep Saturday night. Tell all your friends. :p

Becky, yea for the day off! I'll be doing boxing tomorrow. That is a long weekend shift. I guess the weekend nights are likely much worse in the ICU???

As to ICU nights, they pretty much all stink! I'm technically on the general medicine floors this month, but overnight I help out in the ICU. It's just that over the weekend there are substantially fewer doctors in house. I think there is a total of 3 docs in house (other than ER doctors who don't leave their hole in the basement). So, if there are 2 codes at once, things can get crazy. That did happen a couple weeks ago.

Tomorrow's my husband's birthday too. So, I'm extra excited that I have the day off.

Maaaaan, did I ever get grumpy tonight! I got overwhelmed with everyting I had to do....so I ignored al of it and did 40 min of Leslie cardio. My head was NOT into CS - I was mad and just needed to mindlessly sweat and move! had a great WO!

Clean eats all day....love being on a roll!

Lisa, Poor Pomai! I can give a recommendation for MMA Boxing. Laura and I loved that one. ooooh, the KB was good too. That "throw your hands up inthe air" song makes us dance around the basement like we're at a club!:D:D
